Jorge's Mexican Restaurant & Bar

After spending the entire day on the North Shore, my family and I decided to go to Jorge's for dinner. It was only a 10-minute drive from Waimea Beach because we left at a later time, and missed the traffic. When we arrived, this place was packed. We had to wait a few minutes for a table. Luckily, we visited during Trivia Night, so the DJ explained the rules after the announcement. The staff walked around to provide booklets and pencils for everyone to participate. Each group had their own team name, and we chose "Vegas Fam." [Food quality] I had the fish tacos and they definitely hit the spot. It could've been spicier, but that's just my personal preference. [Ambiance] Fun, lively, and busy! We really enjoyed their Trivia night. I wish we stayed for the entire game, but we had to head out before it ended. Overall: 4-stars. Our server forgot about our drinks, but we eventually got them. Despite the minor issue, we still had a great time and we would definitely come back.

Great food. Chips and salsa were great. Fresh chips, tasty salsa, not too spicy. We started with the ceviche which was very good. Then on to dinner. I had the chicken enchiladas, my wife had the steak fajitas. Both were delicious. They weren't very busy but service was a bit slow. Maybe the kitchen was understaffed. Overall no big deal but found it surprising. Definitely one of our new spots when we visit the islands!

Ambiance was great! Went during a live DJ event and really enjoyed the music. Beautiful afternoon, not too busy. Servers were prompt and kind. Food was just alright for the price. The cuts of fish in the tacos were ginormous and moist but a little lacking in flavor. I really enjoyed the signature margarita.All in all solid spot and I'll go back again the next time they have live music/DJ.

My friend and I came here for lunch/dinner after we went shark diving. This was such a good place! It wasn't busy at all and the staff was so nice and helpful. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. They have umbrellas to block the sun.The food came out very fast and was suuuper delicious. I originally ordered the spicy c&c that ended up being too spicy for me unfortunately and the waitress was so kind and switched my drink out. I highly recommend this restaurant! Great Mexican food!

Amazing service! Great bartenders and the food is the best I had on the North Shore! We have gone here six times so far during our trip. Very clean and well kept place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Recommend 100%!!!!

Jorge's is a great place to take a break and recover while enjoying the North Shore beaches. Easy parking in and out and they have a decent happy hour if you happen to land there in the late afternoon. I stopped in to just grab a quick beer, cool off a bit and thought I'd get some chips and salsa. The chips were clearly homemade which is always nice and I love searching for the occasional holy grail slightly undercooked chewy soft chip, of which there were a few. The salsa was "fine", although nobody is going to eat it and run screaming into the ocean with their mouth on fire. It was tasty enough but on a 1-10 heat scale, it was a touristy "minus 3" haha so just know that going in. (Actually, it was strangely reminiscent of the salsa you'd get at Chili's)The menu was typical North Shore touristy spendy with most dishes over $20 but if you get in on happy hour, fish tacos were only $6 and drinks are discounted so maybe plan accordingly.

WOW, killer seafood tacos! Great shrimp tacos, with juicy, seasoned, and fresh shrimp!! Seasoned with the perfect tomato salsa, generous cabbage slaw, and fresh sauce that wasn't overpowering at all. It was so good that we had to order a second dish! It is a bit pricy for tacos. They were unfortunately running low on avocados, so they were unable to make guac or really dress the ceviche properly, but they let us know! The ceviche came with SO much fresh fish! It was the catch of the day!! Service here was out of this world. The server anticipated our needs and brought plates to split dishes, and my water got filled! What a great lunch taco spot! Outdoor seating, indoor seating, bar seating.

Being on the hunt for nachos is a theme for me, so no different in Hawaii, which led us here. First of all, the staff were very friendly and efficient. Clearly trying hard and that's so nice. They were hosting trivia but it wasn't very busy and mainly locals hanging out. We ordered our beverages and went with, guess what, the nachos! I'm not a big fan of adding meat or chicken unless I really know the place so we opted for the guacamole add on. I thought it was funny that everything for guacamole said "market price," so clearly it varies. The nachos were pretty solid and probably 3.5/5.0. Not the best I've had but not the worst. Good amount of toppings and a nice melted queso blend with some black beans as well. The guacamole was so so and prob not worth the market price, but we did not care and how can you have nachos without guac?! So overall, pretty average, but a decent little stop up on the north shore if you've got a Mexican food craving with friendly and efficient staff.

Took a little drive up to North Shore and stopped here for lunch. We nestled up to the bar and ordered food and drinks.Bartender was friendly. Service was great. I ordered the Michelada with Pacifico. It comes with garnishes, tajin, and tamarind candy. It was very good. The cup was bigger than my face. I ordered the fish tacos with the catch of the day (some kind of flakey white fish - I forgot to ask what kind- but it was really good). My fiance ordered the blackened ahi tacos - large chunks of fish - very nice. Ahi was ok but I preferred the white fish. Would definitely come back again.

Really good Mexican spot in North Shore. Took a bit to get someone to come out front to be seated, and the place was decently busy. Theres a nice little patio out front with picnic tables and umbrellas that was full. We sat at a high top in the bar area and the bartender was serving us. We got the nachos with birria. It was decent. Drinks were really good though and staff was friendly.
