Johnny T’s Food Truck

Bruh the taco is hammaz. I got the three taco combo. I got the fries. I also go this huge burrito that was also hammaz. They located next to waipio foodland. Cannot miss the place. Mop and nap time.

My husband loved the tacos and quesadillas.He heard lots of good things about Johnny T's Food Truck and we wanted to try and we finally did. It's only open on Tuesday and Saturday so that's one of the reason we didn't try it earlier. It's from 11am to 6pm.Sometimes I seen a line but today, Tuesday around 11am, there was no line. My husband had quesadillas ($13.50) and carne asada taco ($3). He loved it. I had same taco but to me the meat was little hard (little dry). Maybe cooked too long? But the salsa was delicious. I love it.Spicy level medium was on spicy side. If you like mild spicy it'll be too spicy. If you love spicy this place is for you. The lady at the truck taking orders was friendly and nice.It's a red truck by Wendy's Waipio so very easy to spot.

Finally got to try this truck, we always drive by when they are closed. We enjoyed the Carne Asada Tacos and a Cali style burrito. Those were delicious. I really liked the simplicity of the tacos and salsa. I also ordered the birria consome. TBH I wasn't a fan of the conssome. A bit oily and not as much flavor as I had hoped.I do wish they had horchata on the menu. However I'll be back for the food and going to try the fries next.

So...long story short, the picture was supposedly taken a day after getting my order from Johnny T's Food Truck, which came moments after my work shift.Where do I start?I have crossed paths with this food truck multiple times, but haven't had the chance to order from there, given that they only open on two days.I figured it's time I give the place a try. So...moments after I finished work, I made a quick dash to the food truck in hopes they were ready to make orders again, and they were ready that time.I haven't ate a California Burrito since Frida's in 2022, and I gotta say, I also haven't had one with Carne Asada beef and chicken. Out of the many times I've had a California Burrito on this island, this might probably be the best one I've enjoyed so far.For $15, this is truly a nice deal.Just the right amount of fries in ratio to the meats, guac, salsa, onions, and cilantro. Most importantly, did a good job listening to what I wanted in terms of order.I ordered mine without sour cream and cheese, which might have changed the experience a bit differently for me.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. For a place that does Mexican food and is right next to Wendy's, they really did a great job.10/10Would recommend, but plan carefully since they only open on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

This place came highly recommended from a fellow foodie so this past Saturday I had my husband drive us to pick up some Cali burritos. Johnny T's food truck is in Waipio near the Taco Bell. Street parking was easy to find. Not too long of a line in the late afternoon, and it was nice and shady under the trees while we waited. Service was great, very friendly staff! The burritos are huge and come with both carne asada and chicken, cheese, fries, guacamole, sour cream, cilantro and onion. Perfect ratio of each ingredient in each fat burrito baby. Only open on Tuesdays and Saturdays; hoping they can extend their hours soon because I'll be back for more!

Was on my way to Taco Bell after work but the drive through line was going out onto the road. Saw johnnys food truck on my way out of the lot and decided to try. I'm so glad that I did. I got the Cali burrito it was huge and best part was it was sooooo good. I'll definitely be stopping by again for an after work meal

The food truck is only open on Tuesdays & Saturdays from 11-6pm, so it can be a little difficult to plan around. We finally managed to visit and the food came out within 5-10min so not too bad of a wait! The nachos were a good shareable size and had a perfect balance between meat, cheese and chips; wasn't overwhelmingly cheesy like some nachos tend to be. The tacos however, were OK. Hit the craving, but the meat on both the pastor & steak were dry (it's the same meat as the nachos, but the nachos had sauces that helped w/the dryness). Maybe we came on a bad day or too early (we went right when they opened)-- but we've had better. Overall, worth a visit if you can make it but nothing to plan your schedule around. We might visit again to get the nachos or try the burritos (but only if our schedules line up).

Saw this place on the gram and had to check it out on my way home from work. Just remember they are open two days out of the week! Got 2 things, their Cali burrito deep fried and Cali burrito double chicken. $15/16 can't go wrong. I'll come back and try the fries next. Food was quick, took 15 minutes as it was slower in the day. But phone ahead for sure!

Previously gave you guys great review for quality food but the schedule that you're open is too inconsistent. Yelp or whatever the map on my iPhone says you're open and then I drive 15 minutes out of my way to get food and you're not open. If it's too difficult to change the open hours / hours of operation on yelp please set up a voicemail at the phone number listed that you can change everyday so I can know when not to come by. I know the voicemail on my iPhone take two seconds to create custom greeting. Quality food don't help much if you closed all the time or say you're open and you not. Please fix this. the people need good food.

Wowwwww. Five stars all the way. It's only open Tues and Sat and if you're far away, it's worth the drive. Also the lady who takes orders is super cool and welcoming. Yummy yum yum, this California girl is so happy.
