There are no words to say how talented Jean-Michel is. After trying other instructors, I knew Nani was going to need more, in order to audition in such a competitive city. We found Jean-Michel and we have never been happier with the results. He prepared her for auditions and gave her the edge she needed to successfully land those positions. If you are looking for an instructor who can get your musician to the next level, there is no one out there that holds a candle to Jean-Michel. Don't settle for anything less than your child deserves. JMJ Studios is fantastic.

We started with in person lessons and were very pleased with the results! We have transitioned temporarily to video lessons with Jean-Michel via Duo(a lot like Facetime only for android) and have found that we haven't missed a beat. The instruction comes through well on this platform. We do look forward to returning in person as well, but I thought it was worth mentioning that the platforms like Duo and What's App work well.

Mr. Jacquon is a very talented teacher and cares very much for his students. My son began taking violin lessons from Mr. Jacquon since 5 years old as one of his first students and stayed with Mr. Jacquon until he graduated high school. I highly recommend Mr. Jacquon if you're looking for a wonderful teacher who will take his students to the best level.

Jean-Michel has been my violin teacher for the last 4 years or so now and he's been nothing but an amazing teacher. I was referred to him by Nick Zhou at CK Violins (Check him out if you need an instrument to get started) and am glad I followed through with his recommendation. Since the first lesson, Jean-Michel has been extremely patient with me. As an adult learner, he was very patient with helping me fix kick some of my bad habits as well as help me gain the skills required to learn an orchestral string. He's even been kind enough to work with my and my schedule to really get the most out of each lesson. He's able to help me break down the each piece and provide clear explanation on how I can improve the things I'm doing incorrectly as well as provide drills to help improve technique, sound quality, and/or speed.I would highly recommend anyone seeking a violin or viola teacher to give Jean-Michel a try. He teaches everyone from children to adults and rather you're preparing to audition for a symphony or just to play for fun like I am, Jean-Michel will definitely be a huge help.

If you are looking for a great string teacher, Jean Michelle is the perfect choice. He was recommended to me from our music teacher at school and I am so glad that we found him. He worked with all 3 of my children and I could not have been more pleased. He is very patient and extremely professional. Additionally, he does an amazing job teaching his students how to read music correctly and how to perform.I highly recommend him.

Both my children are taking lessons with Mr. Jacquon, and they are flourishing. They make progress, sometimes in spite of themselves, as they are always coached with patience and professionalism. I would greatly recommend this instructor.

Jean-Michel has been teaching my four children for the past five years and they love him!He is the 4th violin teacher they have had and we feel very fortunate to have found him. He is very patient and gentle with the younger children and able to explain things to them in a way that both they and I can understand. He is also appropriately challenging to my older children, encouraging them to learn their music well and thoroughly. He has also spent extra time helping them with music they play at community venues as well as with auditions. Three of my children play in the Hawaii Youth Symphony, thanks to the guidance and teaching of Jean-Michel.

Mr. Jacquon is an amazing, patient, and talented teacher! From the first lesson my son was able to play the violin. We began three years ago when my son was seven and Mr. Jacquon's hands-on style for teaching and reading music has been so good for him. Anyone who wants lessons would benefit from coming here, whether playing for fun or auditioning for symphonies. I'd recommend Mr. Jacquon to anyone interested in violin or viola.
