Went out of our way to go to this shop. Nothing is from local artists. All imported. No reason to go.

I wish I came here sooner! Called here in a panic as I was running around for an 8th year wedding anniversary gift for my ever loving husband. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and able to answer my question in regards to searching for the perfect set and chopsticks to pair with 8th year traditional gift of pottery. Entered the Windward mall location and had to stay focused because I was quickly mesmerized at all the beautiful handpieces and of course, prices were not bad at all! Put together a sashimi plate set with shoyu jar, sauce dish, and picked out wooden chopsticks to complete this set! I was in and out of there within ten minutes and the woman was very nice helping me to wrap and pack up since I had my 2 year old falling asleep in one arm.

Decided to buy some coffee cups and other items by Jeff Chang, it's been 10 years, brought other items too, like Salt container, Chopsticks holder, etc. I remember when I first saw there items on display at the old Liberty House. The lady at the counter was very helpful and talk to her about old times, I think that's Jeff Chang wife. Not sure why I see some 1-star reviews on service. I've been in the retail and customer service business for 34 years, didn't see any rudeness. Jeff Chang pottery do last for long time. Pick up a cup or plate before they no longer there, The wife said Jeff is 74 years old, He will soon retire and stop making anymore pottery. Jeff Chang Pottery is a whimsical store on the second floor of Windward Mall. It's located in the theater wing. In terms of what you can find here, first of all, friendly and helpful service. The folks here, including Mr. Chang himself, will gladly show you around the store and help you find what you need as well as discuss the various styles and pieces throughout. In terms of selection, all kinds of pieces here, big and small. From wind chimes to blown glass figurines, metal biker style rings, to clay pots, there are so many options. The best part is that each piece has character to it, making them perfect for gifts. Prices are also reasonable. I've come here a few times. On my most recent visit, I bought a little bee for our advent calendar; $2! I've also bought one of their miniature creatures and used it to make a snow globe. Not only are the pieces here an expression of the artists' creativity, they can help you express yourself too.

In the past, we have purchased several pieces from their store but NO MORE and here is why. The lady that takes the money @ this place needs to learn sum manners. She has no respect for individuals w' disabilities. It seems that I am NOT the only one that feels this way as I have read some o' the other comments and we all agree this business is going too far enforcing the ILEGAL mandates as they are asking for vaccination cards to shop in their store. Bad enough we have to wear a mask for the flu already, it seems she is part o' the problem and why we still are under this unlawful conditions ~ at the time that we went, she was seating down eating (NO MASK o' course) I always questioned this mandate, how is it that it doesn't affect us while we seating down but it seems that everyone believes it does once we are standing UP!! Go figure... besides, this is a pottery craft store NOT a restaurant, she has to get w' the program or shut their store. I AM a disable veteran and they definitely lost our business I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

We frequent this establishment quite often to window shop and explore the variety of creations. There are local artists and I recently found the perfect Christmas gifts for my closest friends that were very well received! Mr. Chang is always so very friendly and welcoming! His wife is consistent and they make the dream work because of their committed team work! Nothing negative about our experiences and we've been shopping here for years! Lots of varied items to choose from. Jeff Chang ceramics as wellas crystals, jewelry, ornaments, wall art, games....

The staff was very friendly and the product came as advertised but it cost triple the price of other vendors. I purchased a product from the store and later searched online for another color since the store didn't carry the color. I found the same product on Amazon for $60 while this store charged $180+. I quickly found my receipt to return the item only to read a handwritten "Exchanges only. No refunds. Mahalo." The store has beautiful products but I would double check the prices before purchase. Yes, I could've/should've priced it before purchasing, and yes this is business but personally, I don't like to do business this way. I will not return despite the nice items because I cannot support price gauging.

Popped in today with some time to kill before a movie -- had no idea how big the store is or how much stuff was in there. Managed to pick up several Christmas gifts and found some really nice art pieces inside that I like. They also had these really awesome metal mobiles based on popular films.For everyone complaining about the vaccine card check -- it's a private business so they can make whatever rules they want. I also believe at least one of the staff has health issues, so it's not unreasonable for them to want to protect their employees, is it? It's super obvious that the bulk of negative reviews aren't coming from shoppers, just those who would want to see small businesses in Hawaii suffer further during the pandemic. ‍Customer service was friendly and chatty. Everything inside is reasonably priced for the fact most of it is handmade/high quality. Some real steals on the sale shelves, and if you need something unique check out the micro glass animals in the cabinet.
