I was craving a sourdough pizza-- the type with a really thin crust and that perfect amount of char on the bottom that gives it that slightly earthy taste. Jax Wood Fired Pizza delivered on that (ok not literally since we dined in). I will admit, I wanted to get pizza from another spot in Haleiwa but got turned away since they had sold out for the day. Everything happens for a reason, eh? We got half beet and goat and half Da Kine- which is their kalua pig, sausage, and pepperoni. The two pies have different bases- olive oil and tomato, so we were warned that there may be some blending of the sauces but we didn't mind. I wish that I had added honey to the pizza for an extra $1 but didn't pull the trigger because I've only had hot honey on a pizza before. The wait was about 15 minutes which can feel like a lifetime when you're hungry and can smell all the deliciousness. They did have a water jug in the restaurant but unfortunately it was empty when we dined in.

IMHO, one of the top three pizza spots on the Island. (The other two are Fatto a Mano and Wicked HI Cafe).It has a great origin story. It tries to support the Haleiwa community giving back where possible. Most importantly, the pizzas are great!The crust, naturally fermented, lightly seasoned. Baked it becomes beautifully blistered with a crisp edge. Inside, lots of air pockets and great chew.Toppings and their combinations, typical cross of Hawaii meets Cali. Don't get me started on putting pineapples on pizza and calling it Hawaiian, grrrr."Da Kine" with crushed tomatoes, kalua pork, Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon bits and fresh basil and a generous amount of motz, a solid flavor combination. Everything in balance backing the natural tasting, slightly tangy, acidic crushed tomato base.The "Spinach and Artichoke), EVOO, garlic, motz, feta, spinach fresh tomatoes and pickled artichokes equally good. Tart and savory. It begs for some wine.Looking forward to trying their giant sandwiches and calzones on future visits all based on their sourdough.Friendly service. This place is kind of hidden, but we were craving pizza and we came across this place! We got the Da Kine pizza and the Jax Paradise. They have custom pizza with many varieties and toppings. I loved how they have fresh ingredients and a big variety. My favorite was the Jax Paradise, it had arugula and balsamic glaze and delicious flavors. They also have a Kama'aina discount with a Hawaiian ID- 10% off! They have a few other deals such as military Monday- 20% off and more. The restaurant is a family owned business which I really love. The people working are in the family. We met the owner and the rest of the family and they are so kind and attentive. When we come on This side of town, we will definitely be returning. If you are craving pizza, come here! *we saw they have a few fans but they weren't on, it was really hot inside because of the pizza ovens so I recommend sitting outside if available. I hope the fans can be turned on sometimes*

Fresh, quality ingredients. Zesty tasting pizza. Takeout order was in time and correct. Very friendly staff greeted me with a smile. A casual place to enjoy a meal with friends.

Stopped here on a rainy day after deciding we didn't want to get went waiting in line at the food trucks. Employees were extremely helping and kind making suggestions. Pizza was perfection with a nice crispy chewy crust. It was hands down the best pizza I had on O'ahu and some of the best I've had anywhere. Will definitely stop there again next time we visit the North Shore.

My first time here and I'll definitely be back. Service was really excellent , pizza was fast and delicious. I got a Mac nut and chocolate chip cookie, taste was great but texture was rather dry, next time I'll try the cannolis. Mahalo plenny fo da aloha and ono grindz!

One of the tasty pizzas I've had in a while. The staff was friendly and accommodating with our requests. Highly recommend this place!

Delicious light crispy pizza and a great friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back
