This place is ok for just a cup of coffee. You would think there would be local foods available, but it's pretty much a watered down Starbucks. Also, for being on military property, the prices seemed a bit high. Lastly, service is painfully slow.

Pros: They're in the hotel, the staff is very friendly. The environment was beautiful, I don't even mind the long lines. Banana bread was perfect for a Cons: just one, and to me it's a big one! At 1.50 for an extra shot I want my full shot! First day, there was gentleman working the espresso machine and I could taste that I got the two full shots (regular order at home so I know the difference). The next day, I caught the young lady that works that station pour a tiny dribble of an already pulled shot of espresso. The day after that, I very nicely and quietly told the cashier about it and got NO extra shot! Ok, I'll play this game, you know I was watching . A couple days later, the man was back and I got my extra shots, he was the only reason I even ordered shots again!Overall, it was fine, but I've never been cheated out of shots or anything else, at any other Starbucks.

I honestly think this place is great. Considering their prices are affordable for those who serve. The PX isn't really a PX lol. It's like a tiny gas station shop without a gas station. They accommodated us for an upgrade to have two queen beds instead of a queen bed with a pull out sofa. It's our first time staying here and I am glad I got to experience it.

Customer service was good, the gentleman working was very polite. We had shown up at a time the line was empty so service was quick. The drinks were good. It's nice to have this option downstairs for easy access. Quality of the food is where I'd like to leave my review. We got the scramble bowl & the burrito offered. They are pre made and in the warmer. They were so dry and tough to eat, it was so hard to stomach. The bacon was dry and inedible. Will not be ordering again. We also got a "glaze donut" which was anything but your average glazed donut. It was slimy and also inedible. Almost a sugar paste, and not in a good way.

Small cafe in the Hale Koa hotel. Only one person was working which made the line really long at times. This is not a Starbucks, although they serve Starbucks products. So they have a limited menu of offerings.Pros:-caffeine option at the hotel-they have some eating options like danishes, cereal, and fruitCons:-they had signs out on the counter which were not accurate. There was a sign that said they offered Horchata beverages. However, when I asked the worker for that when I ordered, she had no idea what I was talking about. I pointed to her the sign, she read it, and took it off the counter saying they don't offer that anymore. -long wait in line for your drinks-the staff person we had made drinks as we ordered it which didn't seem very productive instead of taking our whole order first.

This coffee shop is located in Hale Koa in the lobby. The coffee shop opens early! I picked up a coffee and a pastry just after 6am on a Saturday. They serve Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas. They also sell a variety of pastries, fresh fruit, water bottles and juices. I ordered a Coconut Milk Mocha Macchiato and a Sticky Bun. Prices are comparable to other coffee shops. The Sticky Bun was $3 and my coffee was over $5. The Sticky Bun was delicious. The coffee was on point. There was only one barista and she was friendly and fast. Overall, this coffee shop is convenient for hotel guest of Hale Koa. They serve Starbucks coffee so you don't have to drive around looking for a Starbucks in Waikiki.

Not bad, but could speed up service. Better coffee easy to find in the nearby area. The baked goods seemed to be mass-produced, but made to look like there was an attempt to make them look more homemade. The coffee is typical Starbucks, but there are plenty of other quality coffee shops in area. The wait time was very exaggerated. Granted there was a large order before us in line (very discourteous on the part of that customer). However, from working in food service in the past, I know there is a better way to handle large orders even during a busy morning rush: instead of having both employees work to complete this order, have one employee work on the large order, and the other employee continue with the smaller orders to continue to move people through the line. I did not want to continue to wait, but my traveling buddy wanted to wait.

This nice little coffee cart hits the spot when a full breakfast won't do but you still want that hot drink fix. They make a tasty caramel macchiato.Located right outside the elevators on the beautiful open air lobby level of the Hale Koa, it's in just the right place to hit it and git it.

I always enjoy coming here. Great service. I never understand why people buy breakfast at these places then complain about breakfast. Go find breakfast. For coffee and a pastry Hale Koa Java Cafe is perfect.
