Best of the Best! Jason is awesome! He photographed my Wedding in Nov. 2024. We had some rain and shine and an awesome sunset and he was flexible with every situation. Extremely professional and kind. He has an excellent eye and is meticulous with details. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. TrulyI had some inspo photos and he captured exactly what I was looking for. Truly inspiring work. Hopefully, we can work with him again in the future when we need photos again.

Jason and assistant Mitch photographed our wedding at Ko'olau Ballrooms.This was both my partner's and my first time being professionally photographed. We're not models--we're not really familiar with angles, posing, etc.I found Jason on a whim while browsing tagged wedding vendors on Instagram. I knew that I wanted photography that was moody (not overexposed/bright) and had natural posing direction (not every shot smiling to camera but not posing direction that felt overdone). While browsing Jason's website portfolio and his IG, I actually got a bit teary-eyed because of how beautiful his shots were. He and his team have a great eye for shot composition as well as capturing genuine emotion. I also love that the photos have a film-like quality to them.Since my bridesmaids and I had to get ready in town in a relatively small hotel room at 6am before driving over to the windward side, I decided to just have photography start at the ceremony site (rather than having getting ready photos). It was also my first time getting hair and makeup professionally done so it ended up being nice to have some "private" time rather than feeling internal pressure to be "on"/camera ready from 6am.Jason and Mitch were great to work with on the day of and made sure that we felt comfortable throughout the day. Mitch was great at assisting me with holding my bouquet (for photos but also so I could eat/get some sips of water) as well as gathering/laying out my wedding dress train.If this is your first time getting photographed, definitely make sure to practice pausing/holding poses during key moments of your ceremony and reception (like your first kiss, hugging parents, etc.) for five seconds so that the photographers have enough time to capture the moment! It might feel awkward but your guests won't notice and photos are forever!

If you are considering Jason as your photographer, you are making the right choice! Jason was our wedding photographer in September 2023 and from start to finish, he was the epitome of professionalism and was an absolute privilege to work with. He is so experienced, creative, kind and patient and such a lovely person. He is a very adaptable and intuitive person who is able to read the room and improvise to make things work under time constraints and I was so grateful for all his support to make our day a huge success. Couples and wedding photography is such a personal and intimate thing but Jason made us feel so comfortable and like our big brother. We had a religious ceremony but the photography team were very respectful of the cultural setting. All our guests and vendors said that they got along really well with Jason and Mitch. Jason was extremely communicative and being a very experienced wedding photographer he was able to give me so much helpful advice around what was feasible for our day timing-wise and was flexible to balance the client vision with what he knew would be best. In the end the outcome was a wonderful photography schedule capturing all the key moments with his creative direction and a little input from us too! Our wedding schedule had multiple locations but Jason and his second shooter, Mitch were well co-ordinated with our wedding party and videographers and were at all locations like clockwork without a hitch. Jason was even able to provide some guidance to my videographer and worked well together to share a common creative direction. It was a long day full of stressful moments but Jason and his team were able to work their magic and even turn disaster moments such as a wardrobe malfunction emergency fix-up before first dance into a candid beautiful photoshoot!! Indoor shooting, outdoor shooting, beach photography, night-time event photography - there was a high level of technical knowledge needed to capture all these moments and it was all perfect. Finally after the wedding, Jason's communication still stayed consistent, and despite having a super hectic schedule leading up to Christmas, Jason still delivered the highlights and full album way faster than we expected and the end results were truly beautiful. He was very open to any particular feedback I had however it really wasn't needed because he truly does have a great eye for photography and what looks good from a design and storytelling perspective. Jason Deng and his team was 100% worth every penny and were the pillars of our vendor team for our wedding day. I unreservedly recommend Jason for all of your couples photography needs and highly recommend you choose him!

We found Jason through our wedding coordinators and had Jason photograph our wedding in Oahu. His work is amazing and exactly the style that we wanted our wedding memories to be captured. We are very shy and have never taken professional photos before but he knew exactly what to say in order to position us to take the perfect pictures. He made us feel very comfortable in our poses and knew exactly where to position us. Jason knows the island very well and he was knowledgeable about the natural lighting and landscape of our wedding venue. Even though he was the only photographer at our wedding, it was as if he was in multiple places at once. He is very creative with his art and a pleasure to work with. We also received positive feedback from our wedding party and guests when he would gather them for pictures. Our photos were released to us in the timeframe as promised and they were flawless. Jason was great, showed up and immediately put me and my wedding party at ease with his sense of humor and grounded attitude. He was genuinely excited about taking photos and getting the right lighting and poses with the sunset. Got the photos to us within 3 weeks of the wedding date, fast service. All the photos were really nice, tons of candids and family/friend photos but also just random pictures of drinks being poured or table settings. You couldn't select a better artist to preserve a wedding day for you!
