It's been about a month since my daughter started going here. I was referred by one of my coworker who's son is also enrolled in class here. So far, she loves it! The instructors are very engaged with each class. They know every child's name. (Amazing!) they really focus on core values such as respect and treating others fairly. Not to mention the facility itself is very well kept. If you are looking to enroll your child here, do it! Ps. They also have adults classes available in the evenings which I've seen a lot of adults show up for those classes. *they have water available for purchase at $1 if you forget to bring your own.

I'm a former student who no longer goes here but I attended this dojo for nearly 10 years and it has helped shape me into the person I am today. Aside from being a great sport that kept me in great shape when I was younger, karate taught me discipline and valuable skills in life at a young age and Sensei (now Shihan) Rusty was a monumental mentor figure for me. JIKC and this dojo has a special place is my heart and I'd recommend it to anyone that wants to get fit, learn valuable skills, or try something fun and new. I've explored other martial arts and have even competed at the collegiate level for kick boxing but I look back and its all thanks to my karate background that I am as disciplined and fit as I am today.

My son has been coming here for 3 years and has been taught so much. He will be a black belt right after his 10th birthday this year. Sensei Rusty is a "no nonsense" kind of guy and his procedure for running his classes are unprecedented. He has a way with the kids where they are having fun yet learning life skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Donna is so sweet and friendly when it comes to getting paper work done, monthly and yearly dues filled, buying of uniforms or even just having your questions answered. The facility is conveniently located in Harbor Center in Aiea with ample parking too. It is brightly lit, spacious and has an are for parents and visitors to spectate ongoing festivities.YEARLY REGISTRATION FEE.$65.00 for up to 6 classes per week. Offers for multiple children. Also discounts for paying full amount upfront.Thank you JIKC.

My son and I moved to Oahu a year ago and were searching for a place to practice and call home, JIKC ended up being just that for us! We love shihan Rusty and all of the sensei's! The structure is excellent and we both learned so much during our time there. Unfortunately we relocated to the mainland recently, but we miss it every day!

Really impressed with this Dojo! We first were introduced to karate with JIKC when they taught at my child's school. So far, my child is learning soooo much! I like how they ask the students to attend at least twice a week, as I believe this maximizes their knowledge of karate. I love they share the mission of the Dojo as well as karate. I love how encouraging and organized the staff is. I can honestly say, you will definitely get your money's worth with your child attending. Your child's progress is what they make of it as there are so many opportunities for the children to grow and advance here.
