Jade Food Products

Such a long overdue review but I was enjoying all my snacks I got from Jade Food. It's a great family owned, family grown business in Hawaii that's all about great customer service and traditional asian snacks. They're known for their Li Hing Mui which is almost like a dried, tart fruit with a large pit. They also incorporate li hing mui powder into some of their other snacks whether that be sprinkled on top or just mixed in. You would think Jade food is just serving up Chinese snacks that may not appeal to the younger crowd but actually, they have such a large and great selection that there's bound to be a snack to your liking. They have gummies of all different flavors and types and even imported snacks from Taiwan! My sister in law had tried a corn snack and it was very nostalgic of her childhood! I would say Jade Foods also offers great dried Ika a.k.a dried squid! It may sound daunting to those who haven't had it before but it's a great salty snack to eat on its own or paired with some beer! (THats how my family likes to enjoy it)It's a great company to check out if you're in Hawaii but even if you're not, browsing and ordering through their website is just as convenient too!

I forgot to mention that this warehouse sale is open to the public only once a year, sometime around thanksgiving. Otherwise, they distribute to retailers and their products are sold by other stores at the store's price.It was a once a year lifetime to shop at their discounted prices this year, and they will announce a few weeks ahead before thanksgiving time.

I love Jade li hing mui and figured I try out the cotton candy. Bad idea, horrible! As Im eating I notice that Im chewing on something other than cotton candy so I spit it out on a napkin. I look good and it looks like some kind of rotten foil particles. Very disgusting and disappointing! Not sure if ill ever buy Jade product again!

Ordered online and received the box in 4 days. The box was damaged but only one seed package was damaged. I called and they offered to mail me the replacement. I said I could stop by and was told it would be fine. I rang the door bell and a guy came out. I gave him the damaged product and the box it came in. There were ants because one package was opened, He looked at them apologized for the inconvenience and went in to replace my order. He came out with the replacement and 2 other products just to try as an apology and appreciation of my understanding. I thanked him and was on my way.needless to say I don't believe it was their fault at all. I believe USPS damaged the box delivering it. But Jade Foods made up for everything and more!!! Thanks so much for everything!!!

Late post attented their once a yr open to the public warehouse sale back in the end of Nov. I saw the announcement in the mid-week. Got lots of goodies for a great price. Such awesome deals. One of the ladies I was talking to said it was her 2nd time there that day. Great customer service.
