I haven't really had any dim sum on Oahu, and this spot was pretty good. I like how it's located at the Ala Moana mall, so need to trek over to Chinatown and figure out the parking situation. There was a line about 10 minutes prior to opening, but as soon as doors opened, it went fast and we were promptly seated. The inside was nice and spacious, and already packed just a few minutes after opening. We tried a decent variety of dim sum, and I thought it was all tasty, fresh, not too salty or oily. I usually don't crave dim sum in Honolulu because I can get it anytime in Vegas or in SoCal, but next time I do, I know where to go.

If you're in the mall and want dim sum and easier free parking this is a place for you. There was another place I find the dim sum better but this place it quite good especially the sui mai. We got lucky and got freshly made ones. The ha gows are huge and full of large shrimpsz. The hom sui gok was good and lo mai gai wasn't too bad. I didn't like they only give you three instead of 4 for the sui mai and ha gows. The service was shady admit first because it was super busy but when it slows down by 2:00 the service was awesome. We got food along with our dim sum. The hit and sour soup was yummy yum yum. It look like egg drop soup but the flavors were spot on. Dishes I liked were beef chow fun, the fun noodles were cuticles and I actually like that. The salted spicy pork chops were boneless they were decent. The chicken and salted fish was ok it didn't have much flavor imo. The kung pao chicken was a very small dish nearly any chicken but the flavor was good. We'll be back for the soup and the dim sums. It says the chef is from Hong Kong. Funny the employees are all Chinese other than one hale and I think he was the manager.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant for a morning dim sum session with my family. Despite being a local for many years, this was my first visit here, mainly because I always thought it required a large group to truly enjoy the typical Chinese restaurant experience. We ordered an array of dishes, from Shanghai pork dumplings to sticky rice and various dim sum items. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the standard set by other local favorites like Kapiolani Seafood Restaurant or even Tim Ho Wan. The food quality was disappointing, with the Shanghai pork dumplings particularly falling short. They were served in metal tins, which was unexpected and less than ideal. The dumpling wrappers stuck to the tins, making it difficult to enjoy the soup that should accompany the dumplings. Additionally, they tasted as if they had been made days prior and had become stale.Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I do not foresee a return visit. For those looking for quality Chinese cuisine, I recommend broadening your search to other establishments in the area.

On Tuesday, 2/4/25, our group of 16 club members had a luncheon meeting at Jade Dynasty at 10:30a in the private room on the right of the entrance. We were seated at 2 tables. Our preordered meal came out promptly. We were served our water and hot Jasmine tea as we waited. Our first dish that came out was the Jellyfish Chicken Salad. I haven't had jelly fish in a while and it was very good. It was nice and soft, cool, and had the texture of a fungi mushroom, or noodle as my table mates described. The savory flavoring of the jelly fish married well with the Chicken Salad. Up next we had the Prawns with Tea Leaves, Spring Rolls, and Sweet Sour Fish. The Fried Prawns were very flavorful with the Tea Leaves. My friend said that you could eat the Tea Leaves and it was tasty with it. The Spring Rolls were nice and crisp on the outside and the vegetables inside were tasty. I really enjoyed the Sweet and Sour Fish. It was tender and the sauce was flavorful.Next, our Mochi rice was brought to the table along with the Stewed Beef with Look Fun, and the Noodle Dish with Choy Sum and oyster sauce gravy. The Mochi rice was filled with dried scallops, chicken, and mushrooms and the flavors blended well with the other dishes. The Stewed Beef was tender and added to the texture and tastiness of the Look Fun. The Noodles in oyster sauce gravy and Choy sum combined for a perfect bite. Finally, we had the Goji Berry Gelatin for dessert. It was a light and refreshing way to end our meal.Overall, our group had an enjoyable meeting celebrating our Chinese New Year lunch at Jade Dynasty. I will definitely be back for more Jelly fish.

After years since my last review, I'm happy to say that Jade Dynasty Seafood Restaurant is just as exceptional as I remember. We recently celebrated with a team feast here, and everything exceeded our expectations. Even though the restaurant was bustling, the staff handled everything seamlessly. Our group of 10 was seated at a large table with wall partitions... a thoughtful touch that provided a nice level of privacy and helped reduce noise, making it perfect for a big group. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and despite the size of our party, the food arrived quickly, piping hot, and packed with flavor. On the menu:* Mochi rice with shrimp and dry scallops* Shrimp dumplings* Pan-fried turnip cake* Steamed pork and veggie buns* Deep-fried taro puffs* Tiger shrimp bean curd rolls* Seafood seaweed rolls* Snow mountain char siu bun* Chicken feet with black bean* Pan-fried crispy noodles with shredded pork and bean sprouts* Baked egg custard tarts* Almond floatEvery dish was a hit, and the service remained prompt and attentive throughout the meal. Hot tea continued to flow, ensuring everyone felt well taken care of. Jade Dynasty continues to impress, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for gatherings of any size. Just be sure to make reservations in advance to ensure a smooth experience.

The dining room is Huge! Haven't been here in probably 12 years. The air is filled with yummy smells and the noise level is quite loud due to very busy restaurant with patrons occupying tables of 2 to 5 or more.Very eye catchy decor with crystal light fixtures and columns, partitioned doorways for private parties and black metal carved out with dangly prism like elements filling the central main dining room.At least 4 huge flower arrangements at each corner of the room.No dim sum during dinner, no Peking duck available tonight. Wanted Minced beef soup but too large for only two of us.First entree has arrived. The ung choy was the best I've ever had, deep green, the flavor was excellent with garlic. The capital pork chops was moist, juicy and tender. It was an orangey color but tasted similar to sweet sour spareribs. One more dish to come... we need to dash off in 20 minutes cuz we have a show to attend. Just in time. The food is worth the wait.

When I don't want to go to Chinatown, this is the place I like to go to for dim sum. Always a wait, no matter what time. Went around 11ish and we waited around 20-30mins, not bad considering we just walked in and there was a bunch of people waiting already. Food is great but a bit on the pricier and smaller side. They have different items on the menu that you don't find at a traditional Chinatown dim sum restaurant so we love it for that! No dim sum carts; they give you a paper & pencil to choose which ones you want & cross it out after they deliver it. Service is fast but the restaurant is so big that it might be hard to get water or tea refills if you're not flagging down a worker. Typical dim sum restaurant with old school Chinese decor and semi loud atmosphere. We usually order the har gow, siu mai, deep fried shrimp bean curd roll, pan fried shrimp and chive dumpling, chicken feet, deep fried taro rolls, fried shrimp puff, snowy mountain char siu buns, baked taro buns, deep fried seaweed shrimp roll, & deep fried shrimp dumplings. My husband loves the seaweed rolls, the deep fried shrimp dumplings and siu mai so we order double of those. This is probably one of the only places I've seen have snowy mountain char siu buns. Love the crispy cookie top and sweet char siu filling. The taro buns also have a cookie top. Fillings for all the dumplings are pretty plump and it comes out piping hot. We always love coming here!

Love this place for celebrating events. Wonderful how this place has kept the more classic older designs of a dim sum place. Workers are efficient and attentive. The dim sum is good and portions may be a little smaller than what most are used to.Cant speak on the larger dishes, but the dim sum is worth it even if there's a wait.
