J&E has a very good selection of fishing supply but the owner daughter has a very ugly personality. I don't mind been watch like a hawk due to the fact that she's just making sure that no one shoplift in her store but her attitude toward customer sure is not friendly at all..

the store owner treated us like we were going to steal stuff the whole time. we are well off and we're not doing anything to suggest we would steal anything. they lost a lot of buisness. my daughter was holding a large cheap fishing lure and they took it from her and said they needed it on the counter like she was going to steal it. very poor service.

I've been to this shop more than 6 times in the last 6 years and was giving the younger lady a chance to show some courtesy, even buying something each time so she'd know I wasn't trying to case the store to steal something. Sadly, at best she forces out a "thank you" after the purchase but is very suspicious and cold up to that point.The older woman, who I believe is the aunty of the younger woman, is very nice but I rarely see her. I will take my business elsewhere in the future, and support a small business I feel good about.

Aunty always got what I need. Bought a few rods from her. Prices are pretty good, it matches other shops or is cheaper. Whenever I got questions about products I can always ask her and she gives me a straight up awnser and is never rude or smug about it. She doesn't ever hound me or pressure me into buying stuff she understands sales and local people. Recently went back and she got alotta JDM jigs. Xesta & Little Jack to name a few. Well worth the visit and headache trying to get there with all the kalihi/dillignham construction traffic. Conveniently located across HCC. Support Local

Went to J&E for the first time after years of wanting to check them out. As soon as I started to check the wall of lures the lady who was behind the counter was behind me "checking" on items on the shelf right behind me without saying a word. I would've bought way more stuff if I hadn't felt like I was being treated as a thief ready to take off.

They say to always support local businesses. Don't support this one. Very rude lady and did not help with anything at all. You can get half of the things at this store at Walmart for more than half the price. I would support this local business if they were not rude. Customer satisfaction should be at any businesses priority. Left the store with nothing because of that attitude.
