1. Very long wait time for skewers. On a Monday night, you will need to wait for 60 mins for your skewers to come. The restaurant wasn't even full at the moment 2. Service was non-existent. No refill of water or napkin. After serving the appetizer, our table was empty for about 50 mins and the food waitress just ignored us. 3. Now comes the highlight: when we asked our waitress why it took so long, her response was there were other big orders to fill, suggested we ordered too few (just 12 skewers). I appreciated her honesty but doubt if this is standard of service4. Food was disappointing as well. Chicken heart tasted like rubber. Easy items like pork belly were bland. Should have just gone to Gyu Kaku for better food. 5. Last but not least: don't be fooled by recommendations on Rednote.

easily the worst food I've had on the island. Someone else said this too so I'll say it again: i have yet to be impressed by a chinese-owned japanese restaurant. this place is horrendously overpriced. The food doesn't remotely resemble the pictures on the menu, and don't even get me started on the quality of the fish. Our uni donburi was oxidized, clearly not fresh, and so bitter that we had to send it back. The Kauai shrimp yakitori--which (according to our waiter) is from Sam's Club, fished in Vietnam, and therefore an outright lie to call it Kauai shrimp--came with ONE SHRIMP. Is it not standard for yakitori to have at least three pieces? absurd. and I know i'm not crazy because the table next to us was complaining about their skewers arriving cold. waiters looked like they couldn't be botheredSushi Matsuri down the block is so much better. the portions there are microscopic, but at least you pay for quality.

Couldn't decide between sushi and a hot meal for dinner, so decided to have both at an izakaya. The picture of the deluxe chirashi on Yelp helped me to decide on this place. Like the Yelp pic I saw, the chirashi bowl I got had a generous amount of fatty tuna (4-5 thick pieces total), couple really nice yellowtail, couple salmon (okay) and uni (didn't like and didn't finish--was gooey and smelled off). There was fake crab/krab. Wish it would have been real crab, although it was an okay complement to the dish. Had the crab been real and the uni fresher, I probably would have rounded up to 5 stars. I really enjoyed the hot dishes I got. The fried oysters were perfect. Piping hot and crispy, fresh and juicy on the inside. The braised pork belly had good flavor, although I wish the meat was more tender. The pricing seemed to be a little inconsistent. The pork belly was a pretty big portion for about half the price of the beef tongue. I was originally interested in the sashimi jewel box but it seemed like what was in it was similar to the deluxe chirashi but for a lot more money.

Cute little sushi restaurant. Cozy ambiance.Good service.Salmon Skin Salad (not picture) - very little greens and a lot of saucy salmon skin. I wish they added more greens and less sauce. It was extremely salty and saucy. Do not recommend.Uni - So good we had to order another pairs. Nigiri was loaded with uni. Melted in your mouth. Just too good for words.Miso soup ( not picture) - bland. Do not recommend. Seared scallops rolls: The most expensive roll on the menu, and it was highly disappointing. You can taste days old shrimp tempura. For the price, you expect it to taste fresh and restaurant quality. But it tasted like store bought sushi. Do not recommend. The location is right underneath our AirBnB. We might stop by again for just the uni.

We were scrounging for a late dinner with many places in the area already closed. The place looks nice enough - clean. Service was good. Food was decent, but nothing life changing. Since their menu had a full page dedicated to yakitori I decided to try it out. I think it could have used a bit more flavor - like maybe it wasn't marinated long enough or something. I don't know if I'd come back

Staff was accommodating with our party. Quick wait before our party of 11 plus babies were seated. Chicken wings were tasty Shrimp tempura was gummy and weird flavor -I'd pass on this Chicken hearts are thinly sliced and were over cookedPork belly was tasty but overcooked 8pc omakase cheap for a reason -not the best cuts nor freshest -I'd pass Overall, service and yakitori were great but omakase/nigiris weren't the best. We were a loud party but lots of empty tables so not too bad :)

Had some great "advertisements" from "influencers" so went in with higher expectations. Need to stop listening to them.Parking is easy...go Ross. They validate for 2 hours when you purchase something...we actually forgot baby's slippahs, so had to get her something so she could walk around.First off, it was Chinese trying to do Japanese food. Chinese do a lot right, but not Japanese food. The service was good, other than them having to use Google Translate for their notes to let us know what things were or where they were from.We ordered beer. Pitcher Sapporo - hubs thought it was flat. I thought was okay...but def not as carbonated as typically is.Ordered a bunch pupu style.- Shrimp Tempura - no tempura. It's panko so what is typically called Ebi Fry at most Japanese place in Hawaii. It was ok. Broke off tip for the baby and that was all batter. Manini the shrimp.- Shishito Tempura - this was tempura-ish, but not good tempura batter. Made sure wasn't hot and gave to baby. She loved it. It was okay...prefer it grilled.- Lady Harumi sushi roll - interesting. Definitely not the type of sushi we normally get, but we were intrigued...and everything kinda worked. Unagi, salmon, cream cheese, avo, sriracha, kabayaki. She forgot to mention the sauces when she told us what was in it, but I do think it helped. - Salmon Skin Salad - Salmon skin had meat on it, so that was good. But was burnt! Was terrible tasting. - Ikageso Karaage - tasted good, but be prepared to work at it. Super chewy. Good chew toy for the baby. - Amaebi - funny, the waitress kept saying "Ema-abi" and the hubs was so confused, but I knew. This was really good. But the head was over-battered. Hubs ate his, and I didn't even bother. That's usually one of my faves so pretty disappointing.- Natto - for the baby and hubs. Slimy and stinky, so I guess it was good! - Uni - from Hokkaido. Was good, but ratio of rice was too high.- Ikura - good but super salty. Way too much of the marinade.- Seared salmon - salmon good...but like the uni, too much rice for the amount of fish. Booster seat doesn't have seatbelt - they only have 1. High chair worked, but we had to wipe it down first. Overall we still had a good time. One of the waitresses loved my baby and carried her to get lollipop. Had to take the lollipop away since she's too young, but it was sweet of her. Return? Negs.

A delightful culinary experience with fresh, flavorful dishes and a warm, inviting atmosphere! The Yakitori combo was a standout, perfectly cooked with vibrant flavors, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. A must-visit for anyone seeking a delicious meal in a comfortable setting.
