I finally found somewhere that my 4 year old could be herself and I was excited when we got the email saying that a spot had opened up for her. It was hard to find an activity that would take my daughter at 3 years old when she started. She knew nothing about gymnastics and she never really associated with other children besides family. Been with this gym for about a year and I can't tell you how much my daughter has grown. We tried out the afternoon classes on a weekday but noticed that it was interfering with my daughters nap time and had to make a switch. The coaches and staff were very accommodating and they helped my daughter even on days that she just cried during practice. I wanted to so badly just pull her out and go home, but the coaches made sure that she knew she had to practice and was so patient and just sat with her throughout practice. My daughter is starting kindergarten in August so we decided take her out. We were sad, but we know that another child gets to take her spot and is going to learn so much and make a lot of friends like our daughter did! Best decision was made when she joined Island Tumblers!

Coach Jana I think her name. Unprofessional and not kind or encouraging to kids. Will not be going back there.

My 3 year old loves her class! There's an upstairs area just for the littles and a great space for adults to observe but not interfere.

My daughter has been attending gymnastics here for a few years and it's been great for her. She started at like 2 years old and was extremely shy and cried a lot. The coaches did a great job of working with her and she eventually opened up. She's 5 now and really enjoys gymnastics here. Their website is easy to navigate and helpful when enrolling in a class. The coaches are friendly and work well with the children.

Took my daughter for a trial session for the 3-5 year olds. I checked in and one of the instructors came and walked us upstairs where the class was. There is a little area with toys and cubby holes to put your kids things in. Once the class started, everyone just went into a circle and did their warm ups with a few questions to get the kids ready. Because it was my daughter's first time, I didn't know what to expect. After that initial warm up session, they went straight into a course of jumping, tumbling, cart wheeling, etc. I don't know if I'm using the right terms..They separated the kids into two groups. Each group did a different course and switched afterwards. When there was a portion where they had to lift themselves to the bar and roll over to land, my daughter hurt her tummy. She did not want to do it anymore. The instructors all did their best to have her continue. It wasn't their fault. One of the instructors later told us that that one part is where kids do tend to cry. It wasn't something I was expecting. They were really good about it but my daughter did not want to go through and sign up for the class. I think I would have liked it better if they introduced my daughter as being new or doing a trial run. I know the parents knew we were new but just so the kids had an understanding of why she was taking a bit longer or didn't know how to do things. And then to top it off, when we were walking down the stairs, I think someone bumped the hand sanitizer from the top and it fell right in front of us. Good thing we weren't a couple steps further down or we would've got hit. Probably not a good idea to leave the sanitizer where it could fall down below. Parking lot is very limited. I probably would try this again when my daughter doesn't fear hurting her stomach

I surprised my daughter with a birthday party... and when she realized where we were... she was ecstatic!I planned for a party of 30 children... and the staff there are awesome! They were so helpful and patient with my kids... All the kids looked alike... yet the staff remembered their names. Now that's impressive! I'm so sorry I can't remember the 2 staff members names... but they made the party so enjoyable for the kids! Thank you for the both of you! The kids had a blast playing in the gym... the rope swing, gym structures, trampoline, and foam pit were all winners with the kids. My daughter was so excited to have a birthday party away from the regular video game places... and the best part is... it was cost-efficient. The party went way below my budget!

I absolutely love this gym. It's amazing how efficient and organized they are from administration all the way to the coaches. I am confident that the coaches know their craft well and and trust my daughters won't get hurt and will be taught proper body mechanics. David, Charles, Warren, Lawrence, DaJuan, and Phoebe are amazing and great will children off all ages... even at the end of the day when I would want to not be around ANY kids .

Great place for a quick birthday party! Plan ahead because they fill up 2 months in advance. BIRTHDAY PARTY RATE for 90minutes:$10/head up to 10, $5 each head after. Very cost effective compared to other places.WHAT DO YOU GET TO DO?There's a lot to do in the short 2 hours: obstacle course, swinging on ropes, jumping through the hoops, jumping on incline springy trampolines, but the trampoline runway was the huge hit of the day! It was pretty hilarious watching the kids grab the parralel bars and fall straight down into the foam pit. Some of the parents couldn't contain their excitement and started jumping and swinging off the bars too. THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT!They remembered the kids names, were encouraging, spotted the kids when necessary and pretty much allowed the parents to have an adult party upstairs without having to worry about the little ones downstairs. THE PARTY ROOM!There is a nice sized room upstairs with tables and chairs so you can BYOF. No alchohol allowed. This was great for the parents to be able to socialize while the kids were having a blast downstairs getting their exercise. I think we had about 50-60 people total and we all fit upstairs. PACK EM IN, PACK EM OUT.We had exactly from 3-4:30pm in the gym. we were allowed to arrive at 2:45 to set up our things upstairs, the kids played from 3-4, came upstairs and from 4-4:30 we ate, sang h b d and ate cake..at 4:45pm we were promptly escorted out of there for the next party which was starting at 5pm. This was the only thing I would change if I could. I really could have used another hour. 90 minutes goes by very quickly and we felt rushed but I guess that's why their rates are better than other places. We (the mommies and daddies) have decided that next time we are booking the place just for us and leaving the kids behind. Wouldn't that be awesome -- a party where we can swing on ropes, jump off bars into foam pits and bounce down the trampoline runway?

About 3 years ago, I starting looking for a tumbling class for my daughter and I found What's up Gymnastics. While the instructor was sweet as can be and my daughter had a great time, I thought the place wasn't really geared towards toddlers/preschoolers. My daughter was waitlisted for Island Tumblers and so when a spot opened, I signed her right up. I love that they have a Preschool & Toddler Gym area designated especially for 1-5 year olds. Fast forward to the present. My son now attends their Rising Stars class for 3-5 year olds. He absolutely loves it. The coaches are great with the kids. They stay friendly, but don't shy from reminding them of the rules. My son will be attending preschool in the summer so I wanted to prepare him and expose him to outside authority, taking turns and following directions. It's nice that the parents have a large waiting area and can watch the class if they choose to. Their gymnastics programs are super popular. My son waited about 9 months to get into a class so plan accordingly! It is well worth the wait! They have about 8-10 parking stalls, but you can also find street parking. They are located near Pearl Harbor Federal Credit Union in Waipio Gentry. They also offer boys and girls recreational gymnastics, tumbling classes, cheerleading, competitive team, mobile gymnastics, birthday parties, private lessons, and open gym times.

Great big clean facility for all of your gymnastics and tumbling needs. They have a great staff also. Check their website for available classes. You may have to put your kid on waitlist but the waitlist moves pretty fast. Parking can be a bit of a challenge.
