Tremendous customer service. I really wanted to buy something this local company but despite all the hard work from the gentleman helping me, couldn't find something that fit and felt right. Mahalo! Appreciate the effort and great conversation.

Woo-hoo! This is Island Slipper's new location (open since mid-2013 IIRC) right at Royal Hawaiian Center. Perfectly convenient for us mainland tourists staying on Waikiki, since it's a full-size location that you can walk to.And it's still full of comfortable, made-in-Hawaii goodness: http://www.yelp.com/biz/island-slipper-honolulu?hrid=Re-QB0nhTZ33WOx-4rXbIg

Worst shopping experience.I have shopped at this location before, this time we are back in Hawai'i and wanted to buy another pair for my family. On September 12 night, I got into the store during store hour. I shopped around and the guy who is helping me is really nice. I wanted to grab the last pair for my mom, but as soon as it hit 10PM (their closing time) the "manager" I think, with a long face, yell at us and said they are closed and we have to leave. How ridiculous is that? I have never experienced something like this. Never shop there ever again.

I purchased a pair of slipper in this store, and the salesman told me if the slipper is broken that they are gonna repair it for me. I'm kinda impressed and come back on the second day to purchase another one for my wife. Before I purchase that I asked another salesman about the repair policy, the salesman forwarded my question to their manager, then the manager said they don't fix slipper. I was kinda confused who is telling the truth? Then the manager was really rude and trying to kick us out! We are shocked, what we did wrong? What the fuck! What are you guys doing? Why you guys lied to customers? I really think I should report the situation to state board!

Love my flip flops so wanted to see what the hype about these locally made one, a fresh touch from the sweat shops.Other than nice patterns for the heel and somewhat more padding support, at least for the mens', can't justify the $90. Mine with the bottle openers are just fine ;)But indeed a nice, spacious store that's got tons of selection, decent customer service. She didn't quite coddle me around the store lol.amex good here.

In Hawaii, they are not called flip flops. Call them that and the locals will know that you're not from here. Instead they are called slippahs. No longer are the days where all slippahs are of the cheap variety. Hawaii produces a few brands and one of the them is Island Slippers. You may gasp at the prices, but these are high quality slippahs; you know, the kind you can wear to church. If you still want the cheap ones that hurt your feet and inbetween your toes, then head to Long Drugs instead. Everyone should own a good pair. Question is, will it be an Island Slipper? I have Olukai's since they have a better selection for men. This brand seems to be more suited for the Wahine's.

Island Slippers has beautiful sandals in numerous colors and materials, and a wonderful local success story on the company. The cushioning on the footbed is amazing! (Memory foam, I think.) Most of the sandals -- leather, canvas -- are not waterproof, although at least a few pairs are made with a "washable suede," which surprised me. There are a couple basic designs for men -- mostly flip-flop style, but also an open sandal or two -- and it looked like there were many designs for women. The prices on their shoes at this store beat the prices on Island Slippers elsewhere by $10 or so on the ones that I noticed. The staff is friendly and patient.
