Will be our first and last visit here. Just stopped by about an hour ago. Ordered 3 hash, 2 baked hot dog manapuas, 3 baked bbq pork, 1 steamed oyster chicken manapuas. Somehow paid $34 (math didn't add up). Instead of 3 baked bbq, we ended up getting 1 baked and 2 steamed. Wouldn't have been an issue if they were all fresh. The 1 baked bbq pork was pretty good. But the 2 steamed ones were spoiled. Completely sour and the bun was tough and dried. The oyster chicken one was soo salty. And bun to hot dog ratio was completely off. This place is not good at all. And has no integrity. Avoid.

Very disappointed in this business and the owner. We recognize eachother from Manoa location.Today, I received sour manapua with my order. I believe they are selling day old food as "fresh". Buyer beware. Ask to see the contents of the box before it is sealed, esp if you go early morning. If you see any wrinkly ones, call them on it. Make them take it out. Anything to make a buck, I suppose. I took one bite, chewed it up a bit then spit it out. The flavor was way off. If I get food poisoning on 12/23/24, this is why. 0854hrs.Bye bye Island Manapua.

i stopped by after seeing the reviews and reviews. older chinese lady at counter friendly enough.asked for 2 bake manapua and 1 steam.3 pork hash and 6 shrimp dumpling.$10 worth of char shu. it seem funny when the total came out to 47 and change.when i got home she put 2 bake 2 steam.6 pork hash and 6 shrimp.not a good business tatic to force items.manapua and pork was above average.not enought shrimp and wrapping were too thick.char shu meat had funny smell.i not going back.

I came at 12:15 on a Monday and they were sold out of manapua except char siu. They don't sell single orders of bao buns so I decided to try the 4 piece bao bun which includes Peking duck, roast pork, char siu, and chicken, or is says so.They had pork hash, half moon and taro cake. In the back you can see everyone making food. The parking is lot is very small and I was lucky no one was there and could pull right up because I notice it always is crowded.I ordered the 4 piece and maybe it's the language but I got all 4 Peking duck which I'm complaining about at all. It was just confusing the menu and the communication between myself and the guy. I ordered a pork hash but he didn't charge me for it, so I didn't get it. I didn't mind since 4 piece bao bun is plenty for me anyway. The Peking duck baos were very tasty and delicious. The duck was juice and the buns were soft and fresh. The perfect amount of hoisin sauce was put on. I just wish there were green onions and it would be perfect! Overall, maybe call if you want to get various manapua or probably go early.

Used to be pretty good. The shrimp and pork hash was okay but the gau gee was bad. Dry and stale like. Service was good not much to look at inside.

I didn't take picture because once I got to San Francisco my coworkers ate the whole box :(This place got the best pork hash I have ever had in my life & the Manapua was also great. I am so glad to have found this place thanks to my friend and will be back!

First time going to their Kalihi location. Came kinda late so most items were good but luckily I called in my order earlier in the morning. I ordered some char sui manapuas, pork hashes, and half moons.

Island Manapua is such a classic! I would always go here with my mom as a kid, and that tradition still continues today. They just recently started having pop ups on the weekends outside Jolene's in Ewa Beach, and so I thought I'd stop by since it was conveniently close. Oh man, their food never gets old I tell you. Perfectly seasoned, and addictively delicious ‍ I usually always get the Pork Hash and the Peking Duck Buns, and those never disappoint, so I had to go out of my comfort zone today and try something different, so I got the Charsiu Lock Fun. And omg wow, what a burst of flavor. Everything practically melts in your mouth, and when you pair it with the House Special Sauce, oof das a combo right there. And the Aunty over there is always so sweet and helpful. She always makes sure that your needs are tended to and is willing to answer any questions you have.DEFINITELY recommend to try this spot out. It's right next to Gulick in Kalihi. You won't be disappointed!

Aunty Elaine is the best! She always takes care of me when I go there. The steamed manapua, breakfast manapua, rice cake, AMAZING! I always visit here when I come from the mainland. Straight from the airport to Island Manapua! THE BEST!
