Hours extended til 8pm...that's good since we typically can't make it there after work by 4pm.Customer service is hit or miss...there is a guy who is really nice, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Kills me when they take an order but don't tell you it's a 10 minute wait...and they just stand there while you stand there looking at them wondering why they aren't getting your food. Be careful when ordering chicken manapua (I think was the oyster chicken)...got bone fragments. Ordered 1 for baby. Luckily she never made it to the insides...but gave the rest to the hubs and he was spitting out pieces of bone. I get oyster chicken is typically just the chopped thing, but it should bet that way in a manapua where you assume it's safe to eat the entire thing.

If and when I'm in Manoa, this is my go to spot for food period because I LOVE their variety of baked manapua and other take out Chinese cuisine. I've never ordered something I didn't like and you really can't beat these prices. Yes, sometimes there's a line. Yes, sometimes they run out of what you may have wanted the most but there's lots of other good options. There's no indoor seating so pick up food on your way to something, like pot luck, picnic,beach, that's the reason to stop here.

It's not the owners are new, they rotated their staff from the other locations. In any case, the food is the same as 12-14 years ago: okay. It'll never be like the original owners (the pork hash they made was on-point). They recently made improvements to their counter and that's much better as far as flow is concerned. My big issue; the one thing that consistently bothers me whenever I go here is ordering rice plates. They have rice plates that you can order char siu with rice, or cold ginger chicken with rice, etc, etc. For $2 more you can make the rice into fried rice. When it's done right, it's good! Generous cuts of char siu pork on a bed of fried rice. Pretty good. The problem is that 1 out of 10 times it's done wrong. I went back last week Thursday, pointed at the menu board at the Rice Plate section, asked for char siu with Fried rice, and I got an order of char siu fried rice... Just the rice and very thin shreds of char siu. The menu is in these guys faces... WHY HAVE THAT ON THE MENU WHEN YOU DON'T MAKE IT RIGHT?? There was only 1 employee that's consistently gets it right and she moved to the other location shortly before the new people showed up. I'm never gonna get my char siu plate now. What if I ordered just a char siu plate with white rice? Are they just gonna give me a bed of white rice and thin cut shreds of char siu to sprinkle on the rice? Ambiance is dim sum takeout vibe. I dunno what to say about ambiance other than that.

Fair pricing, manapua is packed with filling!!! Super friendly young lady at the counter!!! Food is tasty! Like to go at least once a week for boba!!! Yummy!!!

Customer service was not up to par as usual. I stopped by to get a manupua. The customer before me bought two of random stuff; while there were 3 people behind the counter, they could not help the lady. One took the order, second one putting it together kept asking the first one what she ordered and the third one tried to collect money and clashed with the first person at cashier. They could be much better coordinated if they would work independently.Sorry I ran out of appetite and just gave away the manapua after I got it.

Located in manoa valley shopping plaza. They have all the manapuas displayed like a donut shop. I only saw baked char siu manapuas which I was fine with, but when I went to order he asked if I wanted it steamed (white bun) or baked. I definitely wanted it steamed. So happy they asked at order. They also have rice cakes that are a spongey consistency which is my absolute favorite. Brings back childhood memories of my grandpa buying that for me. They were delicious! They also have a hot food ready to eat, dim-sum and a rather large menu. Would definitely come back.

Today I decided to get some Baked Manapua, Pork hash, and Rice cake for our lunch. After I dropped off Hubby at Straub Medical Center I drove to Manoa for some Manapua. I had to kill time in town while I waited for hubby to do his procedure. I was craving some Manapua and happened to stop by here. Great Customer Service and the food was tasty. The Pork hash here is huge and delicious. I Love the Baked Manapua from here too. I definitely will try more items on their menu the next time. If you're craving Manapua this place is Great.

The manapua was fresh and tasty, and service was really quick. We ate our snack outside, it was a great day.

This place has been here forever in the Manoa Shopping Center. Look for the shop in the back of center. Not only you can get various kinds of dim sum but they have noodles, plate lunches. That said, the manapua is just ok. The layered brown rice cake was tough and the white rice cake tasted off (another Yelper had mentioned the same thing), the half moon was not very seasoned and the skin was also tough. The ma tai siu was good though. I must say the person behind the counter was super nice, I just wish the dim sum was better.

Had a craving for chow fun while I was in Manoa shopping center and went to Island Manapua. I ordered some chow fun that's made fresh when ordered and it was Great tasting with orange chicken!! There was so much I shared it with my granddaughter. I was satisfied!!! So Ono
