Ige's Catering Service

Food is tasty and good size portions. Always go when they have fresh corned also like the Spanish stew, something different but I liked it. Maki sushi can be inconsistent. I'm particular about the amount of vinegar and texture of the rice. I like my rice kinda sticky/mushy so it doesn't fall apart. Majority of the time it's perfection. Definitely recommend but be prepared to wait in line.

The food is very tasty! Service is great and very efficient. This location is in Māpunapuna. Besides catering they serve plate lunches and have daily specials. No dine in so no comment on ambiance. For the price the catering cost is great. We ordered their suggested menu and added on the Shrimp Tempura. This was for. Baby shower luncheon. The food was hot and ready at their earliest pickup of 10am. Everyone loved the food and no one went home hungry.

My job had catered one of our lunches from here. The food was decent. I heard it was a good price per person. The best thing on the plate was the shoyu pork. It was tender, full of flavor and just melted in my mouth. The namasu was also very good. It had the perfect balance between sweet and sour. Everything else on the plate was meh. The fried chicken was soggy and hard. The noodles lacked flavor. The andagi was dense and oily.

Ige's provided the food for my mom's celebration of life. The food was delicious, portions were for a funeral which is supposed to be smaller portions but it was a plentiful. They were easy to work with in the planning and assisted me with recommendations. The delivery was on time and they were quick to setting up.

Ordered basic catered meal with sushi from Ige's Catering Service. See picture for types of food. The food was tasty and the pricing reasonable. The order was for 20 persons. Although the Namasu was small in portion, it was crisp and freshly made! The shoyu pork was tender and delicious. Scheduled pick up was easy and Ige's was on time. They even offered to put the food in my car. They do require payment ahead of time.

Cafeteria style food serving the hard working people of Hawaii. This place is a favorite of mine. Lowkey a hidden gem. Portions are huge and prices are good. I almost always get their corn beef plate or meatloaf. You use to be able to eat in but now it's order and take away.

When my maternal grandfather passed away in 2013 we catered with Ige's Catering Service. The food was delicious. We were originally going to cater them for my grandmother's funeral in 2022, but the prices were too high. The food is good and plentiful. I hope when I die, they can lower their prices.

One of the best quality places for food orders on-island and especially for the prices too! They definitely pack the food on, and it's always made fresh and hot out of the oven/off the stove! We got the chicken, the rice, and noodles. Aside from their catering, they have Ono plate lunches too - their special is different each day.

If you have a party, funeral or event that is "local style" for a group, this is a great option. Generous and mostly affordable (especially in comparison to other places). Loved all the typical Japanese "local" stuff like Shoyu pork, namasu, potato mac salad, maki sushi, fried noodles, garlic chicken etc. The party menu's are great. The staff is efficient. The pick up is down makai in an industrial area. Not up where you recall Ige's on Kaahumanu.
