Hula Grill Waikiki

Great view and ambiance with friendly and attentive service. I've only had their seafood omelette, loco moco, and strawberry mochi waffles, but all of them have been OUTSTANDING! Seafood omelette is very flavorful and packed with shrimp, lobster, and fish. The strawberry mochi waffle is delicious, crispy and chewy with a wonderful strawberry flavor that's not too sweet. The fresh strawberries on top really make it.The loco moco maybe the best I've ever had though. Definitely in the top three. It's got tender short rib, kalua pig, AND Portuguese sausage, and is topped with a flavorful mushroom gravy and fried onion straws. Plus, I love that we can upgrade from white rice to fried rice.Great cocktails too!

We walked in with breakfast vouchers and were seated after about 10 minutes outside--the view was gorgeous, and it was right around 10am. Service was quick and effective, and food came out soon after ordering. The cajun fish sandwich was exceptional (taro bun was a unique twist), but the baja fish tacos were a bit disappointing in their lack of flavor. Between the fried and grilled option, the grilled was definitely easier to eat. The fried flavor in the former option dominated the palate. Excited to try more of their menu in the coming days though! Would recommend

We have come to Hula Grill a couple times and on our last visit, this place stayed consistent to their popularity. We were visiting Waikiki and staying in the Outrigger itself and after a long flight, we decided to come here since it was so convenient. Upon arriving to the entrance, we were seated immediately in the outside patio that overlooks the beach and pool area.Our server was very friendly and courteous and swift with bringing anything that we needed. Their menu is pretty extensive and has something for everyone. We ordered their loco moco, poke tacos, and a children's meal of chicken terriyaki and fries.Their food came out in a timely manner and all of the ingredients meshed well together. Pricing is higher than normal, however, that is expected since this is smack in the middle of a touristy area and the view alone was worth it.Overall, it was a great experience to settle into our trip with a solid meal and a relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely stop by again for lunch on a future trip.

Hula Grill Waikiki is located at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach hotel just above Duke's. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and a great view of the beach. My room stay included free passes here for breakfast or lunch. The menu consists of a fusion of Hawaiian and American fare.Locacious Salad ($17 + $12 for fish add on) - This salad consisted of waipoli farms greens, kahuku sea asparagus, sweet ewa onion, hearts of palm, waipoli farms tomatoes, and a miso lime vinaigrette. I added grilled fish (ono - $12 surcharge) to my salad to make it a complete meal.Cajun fish sandwich ($27) - On a subsequent visit I ordered this sandwich which consisted of a cajun spiced seared fresh fish, herb aioli, lettuce, tomato, la tour taro bun, and taro & sweet potato chips. The fish was tender and wonderful spices while the taro chips were crunchy and tasty.Overall the food and views were great here. The only complaint I had was the hostess at both times that I visited had some attitude. The first time she seated me in a spot in the sun and refused to move me. Fortunately my server was kind enough to move my table to the side away from the sun. There was plenty of open tables but the hostess didn't make an effort. And on another occasion she didn't want to seat me, and instead said to go sit at the bar, even though there were plenty of tables. Other than the bad experience with the hostess, I had a great experience.

Placed in a beautiful location on the second floor of the Outrigger Wakiki Beach Resort facing the ocean. We were lucky enough to be seated in the outside section and thoroughly enjoyed the views, sounds and smells of being Oceanside.The service was spectacular and our server was very friendly. I ordered the Banana Mac Pancakes and added chocolate chips, they were absolute perfection! Someone else in my party ordered the Chefs Burger and he devoured it.We would definitely return!

Right next to Waikiki beach. Hula grill servers are nice and attentive. We got good view of the Ocean and pool. If you stay at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort and book via Costco you get two adult lunch or breakfast free per each day of stay.We ordered Lobster roll which was delicious. Came with unique chips and went great with Sriracha sauce!

We've been coming here for so long. There was a time when it was inexpensive, believe it or not - but that ship has sailed long ago. Nowadays Hula Grill Waikiki still provides you a value, even at today's warmer-but-still-in-line-with-neighboring-restaurants pricing - you're going to be presented with an interesting menu and the food and drinks you order are going to be very good - or maybe even great. And the service is going to be very good or better - and the little birds hopping around are going to be cute. Guaranteed. And there simply no prettier place to eat. (Make a reservation if you want to be seated by the rail.)

Hula Grill is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean. They had an entertaining lounge singer. The servers were friendly and attentive. What's not to love?The food. The fish and chips were bland with a weird thick breading. You can barely find the fish behind all that caked on mush. Once dissected, the fish was mediocre. I'd expect more from a beachside restaurant. The chicken Caesar salad was a disappointment with wilted brown lettuce and chicken dry enough to wipe off a car with. So much potential ruined by poor food quality.

If you're in Waikīkī and looking for a dining experience that truly elevates your meal, look no further than Hulu Grill. While many rave about Duke's just below, I must say Hulu Grill stands superior in many ways!First and foremost, the panoramic ocean view is absolutely breathtaking. It's hard not to feel like everything tastes better with such a stunning backdrop. The ambiance is perfect for both a relaxing morning breakfast or a lively lunch.The staff here are exceptional, managing the crowds with ease and ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued. Their hospitality truly adds to the overall experience, making you feel like a VIP.Now, let's talk about the food! The breakfast is simply the best I've had in the area, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality and location. From fresh fruit to hearty entrees, there's something for everyone, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into each dish.Make sure to add Hulu Grill to your must-visit list when you're in Waikīkī. You won't regret it!

We originally had planned to dine at Duke's, but were able to get a reservation upstairs at Shula Grill and we were glad we did. Both meals were AMAZING and we finished the night off with a Hula pie to celebrate my friend's bday. I tried the passion fruit ice tea and was glad I didn't. I was a little nervous it would be super sweet, but it was perfect! The staff from the front to the table were all super friendly. I would definitely recommend coming here!
