Surrounded by homeless and crackheads, with one broken chair, this hidden gem is at the opposite corner of liliha bakery. You order from a guy who barely speaks English. You question yelp reviews and life as you stand on the sidewalk watching crackheads talk to themselves. You get your food and you're treated to one of the best roast pork's of your life. I'm sure there are places that have amazing roast pork but I can't currently think of one that even comes close. The jook is quite flavorful and I'll drink that all day. If you're scared just bring someone aggressive willing to kick a crackhead. It be worth it.

Even though I have lived in Liliha for 10+ years now and this place is just around the block for me, I never had the chance to try it. I decided to walk to my doctors appointment and decided to grab lunch on my walk back. I glanced at the menu and they have SO much choices! I decided on the roast duck noodle. I usually go to somewhere else for my roast duck noodle fix, but gave this place a try.It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out and they packaged it really well. I took my food and walked home. I heated it up a little bit more and then put everything into a large bowl. The soup was really clear so I was worried it would be flavorless, but I was wrong. It was flavorful and delicious! There was also so many pieces of roast duck! The roast duck was meaty and savory. There was also a lot of cabbage.I was skeptical at first, but now I can't wait to go back and try the other foods! Glad I was able to support a local store and found a hidden gem in Liliha!

We decided to give this place a try but found it was so disappointing. First of all parking is almost impossible. Unless you're lucky and street parking is open, you end up circling around or park illegally. We tried house special noodle, ba jun tofu casserole (which basically is the same topping except with some tofu), lastly the crispy fried chicken which is the biggest disappointment. It's definitely refried and it does not taste like fresh chicken.

I go here once in a great while. It's in Kalihi near Kuakini Medical Center. I like the food there. They have great service. It's an old-school mom-and-pop place.

Hoy Tin kitchen was close to where we lived, so we decided to get Chinese food from here for my husband's birthday. Just wanted to try a different Chinese restaurant than our usual to go place. I love that there's an online order app. Easy to order and very convenient. Our ordered/ rating BBQ pork and shrimp fried rice = 6*Stuffed egg plant = 10*Salt n pepper squid = 1* so bad, it was a big fried dough with overly cooked squid. Salt n pepper pork chops= 3* super dryBeef chow fun = 7 *On choy = 8*Mayo shrimp with walnuts = 3* big shrimps but super dry n overly cooked.Hot & sour soup = 7*Atleast we tried it once.

Ordered Minute chicken cake noodle: great portion for the price and tastes so good. A bit oily so added some vinegar to finish it up. I also ordered spring rolls: it was very normal. It came with red sweet sauce: it was a bit watery and had it better with some chilies.

Stars are for how convenient it is on the way home and the traditional Chinese offerings they have. I love you can still order black bean Bittermelon here. Their beef Bittermelon is very well cooked. The meat is tender, the Bittermelon firm and not overly or underly cooked, and the black bean sauce is consistently good. So what's up with the rice this last time? It was super mushy where you hardly get individual rice grains, just like a rice mash. Also their portion size has gone down a lot! There's more rice then meat and veggies :( I'll still order but really hope they can put more substance and not cook their rice with too much water.
