Ho'okipa Terrace

It offers you an extensive view of Ala Moana beach park, magic island & the Ala Wai boat harbor. Witnessing the dramatic golden hour in here is dang surreal. So calm & wonderful. At night, live local music will entertain you to its finest. Celebrate special occasion or dance the evening away.I seldom go in here but if I wanted to get rid of the crowd inside the mall for a moment, hopping on the elevator/escalator will be the next thing that I will surely do. The Ho'okipa terrace is one of the highlight of the Ala Moana center. It's the highest open air point of the mall and Offers expansive views ala Moana beach park and magic island. There's a lot of restaurants up here, Tanaka of Tokyo, gen Korean bbq and the centrally located mai tai bar which has live music almost daily and can be heard all over the terrace. I always make sure to pass through this section of the mall to see what going on and just the ample dining options and great happy hours. You get a nice view of the koi pondsBelow too.

Hookipa Terrace is a great place to come to. It's on the fourth floor at Ala Moana Center. It's comprised of restaurants California Pizza Kitchen, Bubba Gump's, and the Mai Tai Bar. They have benches to sit at while waiting to get into those places. You also get a great view of the ocean. I usually come here for the big fireworks show that they put on at Ala Moana Beach Park. It also extends up the ramp to restaurants Jade Dynasty, Macaroni Grill, Island Burgers, and Gen Korean BBQ.

Ample parking but though the stalls are small. You can also park at the parking structure near target. Hookipa Terrace is my go to spot when dining at Ala Moana. You've got many options here like CPK, Gens Korean bbq, Bubba Gump, Jade Dynasty, The Brilliant Ox, Island's, Mama's Pho, Tanaka Of Toyko and of course Mai Tai's which had live bands playing most of the time. Just a short walk from Hookipa Terrace, you'll find Lucky Strike social and Macy's. Then near Lucky strike is the Lanai. It's a great dining spot! Check it out.
