Solid local bar, yeah it is a bit divvy but it wouldn't be what it is without that. Good conversation behind and at the bar. Inexpensive drinks considering the area. It is bigger than you think. There is pool and more space in the back. All we ask is don't treat it like a random hotel bar or nightclub you will likely never be back to. Treat it like the place down the street where you want to relax with good people you know.

If you're looking for a dive bar - look no further! Our bartender was awesome - and gave me a hot dog with my beer -- no extra charge! :-)Don't come here looking for umbrellas in your drinks - or anything fancy really. Come to hang w some locals and get relatively inexpensive booze...

Omg!!! DO NOT listen to any previous reviews. Our bartender, Jeff, is THE BEST!! Solid drinks and superior service. Always professional and friendly. People who leave bad reviews here are looking for double shots and not wanting to pay for it. CHEAPSKATES!! So sad that they can't appreciate a good drink and awesome service. LOVE COMING HERE!!

The best dive bar on Oahu! Honolulu Tavern is a zero frills spot in Waikiki that definitely doesn't have the touristy vibe... it offers great drinks at super good prices & has another side of the bar that has a pool table too. They have happy hour & daily drink specials that are like $6-8 per drink. Your mai tai won't be served in a tiki glass but it's also not $20, it's $6, and it's delicious!! The bartenders (John & Erin!) are so kind & it's always full of locals, so it feels nice to get away from the crazy busy Waikiki bustle. Definitely check this spot out when you're jonesing for some local vibe, cheap & good drinks, and a game of pool!

Great dive bar in Waikiki. Bathroom could use some work but know what you are walking into they have a pool table and jukebox. They have a colourful group of regulars

Absolutely the best bar in town hands down! Great space to relax and have a good time. Jeff makes the most amazing Blue Hawaii cocktails in wakiki! A must stop place during your visit!

The bartender barely give you any alcohol in the drinks, if anyone see him, run! If you see a girl bartender, she's amazing. But for tonight it was bad service and terrible attitude, will NEVER COME BACK. If I can give 0 star, I will

I LOVE this dive bar in Honolulu. I'm a bit of a margarita snob, and just had one of the most delightful house margaritas I've had in years. Not some premixed bland bottled version, but a hand-made true margarita.Great service, great atmosphere, great drinks. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful hole-in-the-wall gem in Waikiki.
