This. Place. Is. AMAZING! From the customer service of the lovely husband and wife who own this restaurant, to the delicious and affordable food, this place is perfect. They treated our family of 8 so well and made everything (even with allergies!) to PERFECTION! Please come!

First time trying this place. I don't eat raw fish/meat, so I'm happy that they have cooked maki options. I ordered the California maki, Grilled Salmon Maki, and a bowl of Teri chicken.California Maki - it was good. I just didn't like the avocado in it. It wasn't fresh. Maybe because it wan around 7:30pm when I picked up my order, close to closing time. Taste was good though, just had to take off the avocado.Grilled Salmon Maki - this is my favorite! It was yummy and I'd definitely buy this again.Teri chicken bowl - my husband said it was goodThe place was warm, they have ac but it was not on. It didn't matter though since I just came for something to-go.All in all, if the avocado was fresh, I would give this place 5/5. This review is only for the ones I've ordered. I don't eat nigiris or poke so I can't review for that.

Conveniently located next to the mall on piikoi. Some metered parking right outside the restaurant. There are also 3 tables there if you wanna dine in but it's mostly a takeout spot.The fish was fresh albeit not the top cut. I thoroughly enjoyed their freshly made hamachi roll and rainbow roll! The rice and other ingredients were also good. You can place an order online for pick up. I like how they don't close till 8pm (last order 7:30) so you can get their food for dinner, not just for lunch.

Ordered from uber eats and not sure if the delivery person refrigerated this or if the roll was cold to begin with? I was expecting a warm roll since the salmon was grilled? But pretty big sized roll and the flavor's good.

The sushi here is delicious and tastes so fresh! It's also pretty affordable too, I got this pack of 8 nigiri for about $15. The spot is a little hidden, it's in an area with other vendors.

Dynamite Maki my absolute fave! Really quick to make and not too busy at night. Lots of parking out front and street. If you decide to dine-in there are about 5 - 6 tables available. The owners are so friendly and kind everytime I go and they never disappoint. Highly recommend trying if you are in the area.

I came to Honolulu Sushi at 7pm on a Thursday, and it was completely empty. There were only two people working, and the lady in the front was very welcoming. She was very patient as I took a long time to order. My mom and I shared the ahi poke bento, and I got a vegetable hand roll for myself. The ahi poke bento was a really good deal at around $15. It came with 4 nigiri (ahi, salmon, shrimp, tamago), 3 hosomaki (cucumber, takuan, and ahi) and a decent amount of ahi poke and rice. The poke was super fresh, but a little over seasoned for my liking. The vegetable hand roll was okay. It had lettuce, cucumber, avocado, kampyo, and takuan. I wish the vegetables were distributed more evenly because in my first few bites I was just eating lettuce and rice. I did takeout, but there are a few tables inside. The parking lot here is small and confusing to navigate.

Did takeout, there was no line and the service was friendly and fast! Good quality sushi and well priced. Lots of variety and combo options so you get to try a little of everything. Not pictured, but also got a hand roll and they were generous with the fish!

Honolulu Sushi is reliable, quick, consistent, good service, convenient location, and reasonably priced. They share a lot with Yogur Story (formally Likelike Drive Inn), next to Teapresso. A bunch of tables to eat at inside if you want to dine in. They have party platters perfect for potlucks. I've tried their nigiri set and a few hand rolls. Best enjoyed immediately after they are made so they are the right temperature and texture.

I should've known that the quality of the fish was frozen because no other customers were in the restaurant. And, The prices are extremely high. I was going to and a hand roll to my order but they're all $4.50 and up so I decided not to because my Nigiri combo was already $16. Not worth it!
