Honolulu Skewer House

This was my first time at House of Skewers, and I must say, it's such an interesting and unique concept! The service was great, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming throughout the visit.There were many options to choose from, including beef, lamb, chicken, and more. The highlight is that you cook the skewers yourself, right at your table on a rotating fire pit. The experience of cooking the food fresh, right in front of you, adds a personal and interactive touch that makes the meal even more enjoyable.The food was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed manning the skewers. It's such a fun and flavorful dining experience. I will definitely be coming back for another visit. Highly recommend!

3.5 stars truly.This is a cozy spot and the Staff were friendly and generally quick.I will quickly admit that I have never had North East Chinese BBQ skewers before so I can't say how this place compares to others of the very same vein. I only can say what I thought of my meal.The big problem is that everything is covered in the same seasoning and there is no flavor diversity. Also, the food was rather salty and if I was drinking down beer that might not be noticeable, however, we were there to eat rather than drink.The menu was wide yet all the items for the grill, and the mushroom medley, as well as the dipping sauce were loaded in 5 spice. Upon reading the reviews of others I see they had the same experience. Parking was pretty bad as the little lot was full and the neighborhood was jammed. Three blocks away I found a spot.The Server was very nice. He gave us three pieces of the frozen candied fuit at the end of our meal and we appreciate the kindness. I just wish the rest of the meal was tastier. This will be a one timer for us. My wife did say the bathroom was clean. I truly wish I could leave them a better review but 3.5 stars it is.

Initially I didn't want to hit up this place but the hubby was craving skewers. I'm so glad we went here! Parking is tight, but I was so lucky to snag a spot in the back lot.Servers are attentive and gave great recommendations. Everything we had was delicious and we wished we had more room to try more things. I would say the sauces are way more flavorful than other skewers we had in the past.

Another flavorful night with a friend visiting come here starving and leave so full, you just wanna sleep. Love this place to the moon and back. Every time I return, staff never disappoints. Staff is always so welcoming, attentive, and supah nice! The food is always flavorful, and tasty. So cozy, chill, small enough to have that relaxing and chill vibe. Nice small little spot with quick service and great food! Service was very friendly, however even though we were familiar with how to cook the skewers we were unfamiliar about what should go over the flame and what should be cooked on the grill top since it was our first time here. We had to discuss amongst ourselves while trying to flag down a server. The place is small and tight but overall very fitting for the concept. We were promptly sat which was a little before opening since we made reservations right when they opened which didn't seem to be a problem and I loved that. MAKE RESERVATIONS! This place is small and filled up within 10 minutes. I specifically heard the server ask some guests if they had a reservation and when they said no how long it's gonna be, the server said "a long time" which I don't think is the best customer service but honesty is better than a lie right? My only reason for the 4 stars is because all the meats are seasoned the same so it was a bit redundant in flavor. Also there was one table I did feel bad for because it's right at the entrance and door so the brisk wind would constantly blow in and there were tons of guests walking by, standing by and hovering around table. Thankfully we weren't sitting there. Regardless I'll be back. I just realized all the terminator jokes I would get if I posted this anywhere else.

Worked late at the office and wanted to get a quick bite at the Honolulu Skewer House. Made a call to see if they had a table for two. Luckily they were able to accommodate us! Best to call ahead, gets busy with the younger crowd. We ordered a variety of the skewers: beef tongue gizzard tofu salad pork belly pork enokiLambbeef tendon Great service, fun and casual atmosphere! We had fun cooking all our skewers. It's a nice cooking mechanism that allows your skewers to be cooked at table side. Allowing you the opportunity to eat everything hot! We really enjoyed the House Tofu Salad! Stuffed pork sliders were delish and wanted more of the Scallion Pancakes! Everything was delicious! We were stuffed. Have to come back again to try other menu items! Nice touch and we appreciated the complimentary tanghulu dessert!

I'm used to eating Korean and Japanese BBQ which is very delicious and flavorful. Chinese BBQ was just OK to me since everything is covered in five spice and honestly just all tastes the same. It's all the same flavor profile which doesn't make for a fun eating experience. The wine is $16 for a glass which is crazy expensive and sake they require you to buy the whole bottle at $60. I asked for a side of shoyu just to change it up but if you don't grow up eating five spice on all your dishes -- it might be a little lacking. The automatic spinning skewers is a nice touch but I still much prefer Japanese or korean BBQ for different flavors, textures, and food items.

Taste really good! The food is really fresh! Service is also good! The stove is automatically and it doesn't take so much efforts!

Authentic Chinese BBQ. The rostering machine is super fun! Definitely will revisit in the future.

The place is great. I love the food . The service crew is very pleasant and great. Me and my other friends recommends this place for eating .
