We were so fortunate to find Chef Mike for our 10-day vacation in Hawaii for our 50th wedding anniversary. We brought 16 family members including 10 grandchildren and our sons and their wives. The grandchildren range in age from 24 to 13.I knew none of us wanted to be cooking everyday on our vacation because I scheduled busy days. Also trying to find restaurants that could seat 16 people at one time and would appeal to all of us was almost impossible and would probably cost a fortune and the kids would waste a lot of food.I contacted Chef Mike and he sounded perfect for us. I wanted home style cooking. Many of the chefs' websites showed what I considered fancy or exotic food that would not appeal to most of the grandchildren.So, we'd spend long days out hiking, swimming, sightseeing, snorkeling, parasailing and having a great time and come home to our rental to great food in the oven or ready to heat while we showered. BBQ short ribs, chicken parmesan, tempura shrimp and veggies, appetizers (amazing!) and he even shopped for fruits and desserts for us. He grilled fish and steaks for us the night I wanted to celebrate our anniversary and he served all the food.The whole family still talks about "the chef we had when we were on vacation". He was great to talk to also!
