Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

We visited for a late lunch/early dinner, which turned out to be perfect timing - it wasn't busy, and there were plenty of open tables. The restaurant itself is on the cozier side, so I can imagine it feeling a bit snug during peak hours when every seat and counter spot is taken. Fortunately, we were seated immediately, and our server promptly brought over menus, water, and utensils. Having dined here a few times before, I realized I hadn't yet shared a review to reflect the amazing food they serve. Today, we ordered the Salmon & Ikura Rice Bowl, Gyoza, and Karamiso Ramen, and as always, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The Salmon & Ikura Rice Bowl had the perfect protein-to-rice ratio, with generous portions of both salmon and ikura. The Gyoza were crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, and paired wonderfully with the ramen. Speaking of the ramen, the Karamiso Ramen was rich, flavorful, and not overly spicy. I added a dash of shichimi seasoning from the table for an extra kick. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the toppings - bamboo shoots, pork slices, kikurage mushrooms, and an ajitama egg (additional add-on) - were well-portioned. The egg added a creamy element that tied everything together. Absolutely delicious! This spot is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a meal before or after shopping at Don Quijote. We'll continue to be loyal customers - Highly recommend!

Cozy place by Don Quijote on Kaheka. Got seated right away. I've never had toroniku before and it was delicious! Got seated right away.

I see why this place is so popular. It's nestled next to the shops near Donquijote and I never stopped by at this spot! We were seated right away and it's a small space. Guests started arriving and sat next to us and the tables are really close. Not the type of place if you wanna have serious conversations. The broth is a lot oilier than I normally like so that's why the one less star. It's just a preference but it has a lot of depth in that Tonkotsu flavor.Noodles were delicious also! Just the parking situation sucks around this location.

I come to Donquijote all the time, but never ate at this place. So glad that decided to stop by for lunch. There were a lot of people waiting in front of the restaurant and most people came from the convention center. We put our name and waited for about 15 minutes. These people ended up not showing up when they were called, so we didn't have to wait too long.We had Charsiu Shio Ramen with Ajitama, Charsiu Karamiso Ramen with Ajitama, and Gyoza. The Ramen noodles were cooked just right and broth was tasty. And the amount of Charsiu was generous. The gyoza was decent. It was like eating ramen in Japan.The last but not least, the service was very fast and attentive. I'd like to come back here again.

This is my mom's favorite ramen place when we're in town. She used to visit this often with my aunty after church or shopping. Service is fast and ramen is always delicious. Love the chewy noodles paired with the perfect broth and tender char siu well keep coming back for our favorite comfort food in Hawaii.

My updated review from 3 years ago - times have changed, a lot of new restaurants have opened BUT this is still my fave ramen shop. Yes I love restaurants that serve alcohol, but because of how good this place is, I made an exception. I've been religiously coming here everytime I'm craving for good ramen that I know won't disappoint. Customer service, wait time & food is just ON POINT. IYKYK. They don't do any extra crazy dishes to bring customers in but be true to their food - offering Japanese quality ramen & dishes.When I have a favorite - I always stick to it. My staples are always the Karamiso ramen with salmon ikura rice bowl. Like in my previous reviews, if you like spicy ramen this is for you! But my husband opted for a non spicer ramen and a new food item - shoyu ramen + fried rice. The shoyu ramen was CREAMIER than most shoyu ramen. And tell me why after being a die hard karamiso fan I converted to a non spicy ramen? The fried rice was SOOO good! I truly enjoy and love the food here. I hate writing reviews bc I want to gatekeep so it doesn't get busy but this place truly deserves it!

Located near Don Quiote in Kaheka, then be outside restaurants. They share the parking lot.Nice, small , clean, restaurant with very helpful staff . I like that you can choose small, medium, or large amount of Ramen . It's very tasty filling and the salmon ikura bowl was my favorite "side". You can add it with your Ramen of your choice.The broth is very tasty as well as the meats . You've got a selection to choose from.This was our first time here and my family that loves noodles were impressed with the broth and noodles. Definitely will be coming back again

Another good ramen find!  Tasty miso broth.  I like that you can choose the amount noodles you want (of course there's an upcharge for more noodles and a discount for less noodles). Gyoza were also good. Service was lackluster.  We had to request water and it was never refilled. We were given the bill but the server never bothered to come back.  Weird

Great food and service. The karamiso ramen was spot on. The fried rice and gioza were fantastic. The coffee jello was fun and different. We were in a hurry to eat and get to the airport. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Everything came quickly. Great experience.
