I rented paddle boards for two to be dropped off at Alamoana Beach. The guy was on time. Laboratory very good condition. They were friendly and professional. He gave us tips on what to expect. I highly recommend them.

I made a recent purchase from HHN and was very happy with the service. The team was responsive to my Facebook Marketplace inquiries, and I was able to meet them that day at the storage facility, where they operate. They answered all my questions and showed me options based on what i was looking for. The team seemed honest and wasn't trying to up sell, and that gained my trust. They were also very experienced and knowledgeable. The price is very good for the quality. I got a great deal on an older model. It also felt good to buy from the local ohana. I haven't surfed the SUP yet and will update this review at a later date.Mahalo nui HHN team!

This company is awesome! We texted the night before asking about SUP rental to use at Ala Moana, and he responded immediately. Our boards were delivered to the beach the next morning, and Wayne was so kind to offer advice about where to see honu (sea turtles). We saw quite a few turtles and had an amazing time paddling the beach. 100% recommend!

Can't say enough good things about these guys! We recently rented 2 SUP surfboards (Titan and Piranha) from Wayne and they were fantastic! Setting up our rental beforehand was easy. Wayne sent me tons of info about the boards as well as recommendations for breaks to hit while we were on island. Once we showed up he helped get fin setup dialed in and gave us extra sets to try different setups. Boards surfed fun and great in small swell but felt like they would really rip on bigger waves. Returning the boards was only a little challenging due to our return flight and the shop schedule, but we managed to work it all out. Overall I highly recommend Hoe He'e Nalu to anyone looking to rent excellent SUP surf gear on O'ahu!!

If you are looking for the best deal on the island for a SUP board look no further, you found it. Hoe He'e Nalu has the classiest looking performance boards at crazy good prices and owner Wayne is super friendly, patient and worthy of your trust. Repair shops in town will tell you his boards are solid, well-made, not mush.When you walk into HHN's warehouse be prepared to be stunned the boards are just WOW!!! So attractive you're gonna wanna display one on your living room wall. I only wanted 1 but ended up buying 3 to have on hand for family and friends. 2nd board had a rare problem and when I brought it up Wayne replaced the board on the spot. SUP paddling/surfing is SO MUCH FUN!!! Great core and posterior chain workout. If you are a beginner don't waste your money on a "beginner" board, buy a performance board you can paddle on calm water and also surf.No surprise HHN and Wayne get almost all 5-star reviews.

I went in to buy a SUP board as a birthday present to myself in September. I was really excited for it and was told that they needed to order it so I had to wait 3 weeks. I agreed and they took the full payment of over $1100. 3 weeks came and went and I heard nothing from this business so I messaged them just to check. Right off the bat, the person I was speaking to claimed he told me he said "end of October" and if I don't want it, I can get a refund. Combative off the bat. I never mentioned anything about a refund - I just wanted to know where the board was. Things went on like this, where I kept having to contact them about the progress of where the board was because they never ever updated me as a paying customer. Now, over two months later, I'm still out over $1144 and have no board! I asked for a full refund and again I was made to feel like I was being a nuisance. This entire experience was really disappointing and the customer service was awful.EDIT: putting my personal phone number on a public google review is far from being professional - my experience with you guys was truthfully told from my point of view and my perception and experience is my right to express.

It's been close to 6 months since I've had my 10'2" Titan and I have not been disappointed. The board glides on the water when just cruising with no chop. The nose cuts through the waves easily when paddling out in the break. The dual concave bottom gives me some lift when surfing. I highly recommend you visit Wayne at Hoe He'e Nalu and rent a board before going anywhere else. No pressure sales and great customer service!

Horrible boards. First board I got cracked with just over a year use. Probably cracked from tying on my truck tack. Wayne tried to repair it, but it was unrepairable. Wayne offered me a second board for $400 after I paid $150 for the repair. He told he he would get me a bag for it when one was available, been waiting over a year for it. I took it and it broke in less than a year. My wife wiped out and hit against her knee and it cracked. These boards are mass produced in China and I should've learned the first time. If you want a $900 board for really light use to paddle at a lake, please do buy these boards. Btw...if you end up damaging you board from here, don't take it back to Wayne to repair. Save your money and time and take it to Kimo's. Quick turn around and solid repair work.

Couldn't look for a better experience for a first time buyer than what I got with Wayne and Hoe He'e Nalu Boardriders. Definitely recommend checking them out, before purchasing anywhere else. They have great deals on great boards, and even better deals when they have their sales going on. Wayne was extremely friendly and helpful, and can't wait to enjoy our board for years to come. Do keep in mind, this place is harder to find because it's located in a warehouse, but a quick call to Wayne and he's quick to answer! The shop (or showroom, as its referenced) is tiny and located within the warehouse area, but there's more than enough to find what you're looking for. So if you're in need of a board, I definitely recommend checking out Hoe Nalu!

I have been looking for a Stand Up Paddle board (SUP) for years and I finally (after viewing plenty of Craigslist ads) decided to get my first SUP from Hoe He'e Nalu Boardriders. I am so glad that I did. I had my heart set on one SUP in particular but during my scheduled appointment to view the SUP, based on my consultation with Wayne, I decided on another SUP- the 10 foot Pauhana. The Pauhana was an even better fit for my needs and I love my new board. I am looking forward to using it. During the whole process Wayne was patient, responsive, flexible, answered all of my questions and provided helpful recommendations. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Hoe He'e Nalu Boardriders.
