Too bad the windy weather was the reason I didn't experience the full fireworks show.We were on the roof top on a Luau event when we briefly glimpsed of a partial firework display.... That was a bummer!!

I said I would recommend this hotel based on the followingEven though we spent most of our time away from the hotel due to the employee strike and the strikers were harassing guests by the pool side and beach the staff that was working was efficient and kind. My momAccidentally dropped my wedding ring in the tub, long story short, a maintenance man Richard D. Came and tried 2x to get it out of the drain. Then had two other guys come up with a stronger suction vac and they were able to retrieve my wedding ring. I was so impressed and grateful for their persistent attitude and drive. ThankYou so much. Forever grateful.

Probably the worst Hilton I have ever stayed at...not a relaxing resort feel at all. Would not recommend. Very loud motel 6 is what it really is. Rooms are dated, dirty and service is unreliable. I stay at primarily Hilton hotels. Would never stay here again. Bed is rock hard too.

Every Friday evening, the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki does a fireworks show. I won't list the time here because they periodically change it so I would check in with a member of the staff. Which may not be as easy as you think because I asked four different people and got three different times. Luckily, I went with who I thought was the most trustworthy of the bunch and he ended up being correct. In addition to the time, it's a sprawling resort so location is important. They recommended several vantage points to me and I chose one of them. Which was easy to find because lots of people were congregated there. The show itself only lasts around five minutes so it goes by super quick. Not the most impressive fireworks show I've ever seen by any means but hey, it's free and it happens every week. It's a nice activity to kick off your weekend. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but if you're in the area, check it out.

The Friday night fireworks at the Hilton Hawaiian Village are absolutely magical! Watching the vibrant colors light up the sky over Waikiki Beach and reflecting on the ocean and the Hilton Lagoon is a perfect way to start the weekend. It's a great way for visitors to add a special touch to your Hawaiian getaway. I'm not suggesting to plan your vacation around this fireworks show but worth a watch. Locals have been enjoying this free show since 1988! Whether you're watching from the beach, the lagoon, or even from your hotel balcony, the view is stunning. The beach can get crowded around the Hilton so come early to get a good spot at the best vantage point near the lagoon. The best view away from the crowds is from a room at the Hilton or one of the surrounding hotels. You can even see them from a few spots on Mt Tantalus and further away on the beach. Definitely a fun time if you're in Honolulu on a Friday night!Starts at 8pm during the summer and 7:45 during the winter months. What's the reason for the low rating on Yelp? There are negative reviews written about the Hilton hotel, pool, food and parking. Nothing to do with the Friday night fireworks. Don't expect the Macy's 4th of July celebration and you won't be disappointed.

The location is great, food pretty good, rooms are a little tired but nice (we are staying in the Diamond tower). However, the ice machine was not working on our floor (11th floor) Elevator had an issue and opened 2' after it hit our floor. That was a little scary. My biggest surprise is the hotel is currently under construction and nobody told us until we arrived and witnessed for our self. Hard to relax at the main pool with jackhammering all day.

We werer excited to see the drone show at the HHV celebration of the World Pokemon Championships........i have never seen a drone show before, but my family was amazed.......crowds of people sitting on the beach enjoying the show. We also ate at Fresco prior to the show. The food was just ok 3 stars. The service was excellent and the ambiance was wonderful....outdoors and NO flys...yay. The restaurant reminded me so much of Lahaina, which I miss dearly. The pasta dishes was a bit dry needed more sauce the bread was good with the balsamic vinegar and oil....yum. The parking validation bombed. We were told $4 for parking, but ended up paying 20$. BUT, worth it I guess.

If you like fireworks, this is the best fireworks show in the state of Hawaii. During our winters, the show starts at 7:45pm and in the summer it starts at 8pm. Lasts about 4min. They also have a way longer firework show in the 4th of July and on New Year's Eve. I suggest to come early because the parking is always full. Depending on how close you want to be by the action, you'll see where they set up the fireworks. If you don't want to be too close, you can sit closer towards diamond head by Hale Koa hotel or Forte Russie. If you like the loudness and want to be almost under it, sit closer to the Rainbow Tower at Hilton Hawaiian Village. It's first come basis and keep in mind that this is a public beach and surf spot so there's a lot people already there enjoying the beach and ocean.

Beautiful fireworks show available every Friday night. It only lasts 5 minutes, but it's spectacular and FREE for everyone. I loved it. It's popular so grab a seat near the lagoon in Waikiki 30-60 minutes before the show for a good seat. The show started at 7:45pm for us (1/19/24) but I heard that they push it to 8pm during some parts of the year.
