Vacation mode on in the heart of Waikiki. Checked in at Hilton Grand Vacations Club The Grand Islander Waikiki. The employees are currently on strike for the last two months. There is no valet, no housekeeping, few staffs on lobby...maybe not a good time to be staycationing while the employees are on strike. I feel for them! I hope the company provides them with a better benefit package. The employees are the people that keeps the guest keep returning. They are the face of your company. I'm giving a four star because of the company and not the employees. This is not my first time here. I've met Laura, Hiromi, Mari, Steven, among many we have encountered. They are amazingly beautiful people, attentive, friendly and helpful!!! I hope to see you all soon the next time we return to Hilton Grand Vacations Club The Grand Islander Waikiki! Thank you for reading my review. Have a wonderful evening!

A newer hotel with different size suites, primarily for members of the Hilton Grand Vacations community but obviously available for reservations. The hotel is part of the mega complex of Hilton hotels in Waikiki that occupy over 40 acres of land on this idyllic and historical beach. With the Grand Vacations building in the complex, it allows the guest to take advantage of the myriad of attractions, pools, pizza restaurants, shops, fine dining and children activities.Having an adults-only pool in the complex is a godsend, even though the other four have a large kids presence. As well, the main bus station for the Hilton complex is downstairs of the Grand Islander, quite convenient for island tours and other activities. Our room was superb, immaculately clean and well appointed. Of particular notice was the bidet toilet seats that make bathroom use so much better and comfortable. Another major detail of this hotel as well as the Hilton complex in Waikiki, is the fact that it is next door to Fort DeRussi, the largest open area left on Waikiki and site of the Hale Koa. As a result, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy.Great place to stage a vacation in Hawaii.

Great place to stay in Hawaii, great amenities. They have four or five pools in the whole village. The only thing I don't like is how clean the lagoon is; I found dead fish, drink garnishes and floating unknown things. The room and balcony was amazing, the kitchenette had everything and loved how they provided more necessities like garbage bags, dish washer pods and laundry soap. Wasn't in the room much to take photos as I was enjoying the island. The second other thing I did not like was the parking rates, it was like $70 a night. Had to find another nearby place that charged regular $25 overnight rates.

Our stay here was perfect! From the moment we arrived to our departure, it was great. Staff was always friendly and welcoming, very professional. The resort was always clean despite the heavy traffic. I think my only 2 complaints are (1) the elevator being so slow. You have to use a key pad to put in your floor number and it will assign you 1 of the 4 elevators. It takes FOREVER! We visited another resort on the property and their system was the normal press up or down arrow and much much quicker! So the system they have going on here needs improvement! And (2) the beds and pillows - they are not comfy at all!! The pillows go flat right when you lay on them and the bed is hard with no cushion. You could literally feel the springs. My body ached. We were greeted by staff upon arrival and the concierge helped take bags out of our car and to the room. We even had my husband's medical supplies delivered and they brought those up to the room as well and set them up. We had to request new towels in a few occasions and they were very accommodating. Our room was a 2 bedroom 2 bath with 2 balconies. It was huge and impressive at how clean and well maintained it was! Everything from pools to beaches to shopping and dining was all right there within the resort complex which I loved. Just so convenient!! And if you wanted to venture out a bit, most things were within walking distance.

Oct. 27-29, '24 stayed here in the middle of a union strike. Things were as good as they could be at the time since the strike was at its peak not too many things going on at the hotel; we were warned! No room/food service, not a lot of employees on hand. No check in 'til Noon. Only Express check-out available. Thankfully surrounding shops & restaurants were in full swing! The hotel employees THERE at the time were helpful & accommodating. It was the last leg of our trip, so we didn't need too much. Room/suite was perfect!

This hotel exceeded my expectations and missed in only one regard. First, the miss...parking is not a great thing, especially of you're disabled. They have a stand alone parking lot and valet, both of which are a 5 minute walk from the hotel. This is not convenient if walking is a problem. It's also VERY expensive, $68/day for self and $75/day for valet. Now the good.. EVERYONE was super helpful. Check in was smooth and easy. I had some medical supplies shipped ahead of time and they received and then delivered to my room upon check in. The elevators are quick once you learn how they work, no pushing floor numbers while in an elevator, ypu pick it on a screen I'm the lobby and the system asigna you to an elevator. The room we had, a 2 bedroom suite was outstanding. Everything was clean, and it had everything you needed to make your own meals (excluding the food of course). To my surprise, there was even a rice cooker! The AC is zoned so each area and room can be controlled separately. They have waterfall shower heads and hot water was instantaneous. Cool feature to note, there is a hot water spigot in te kitchen made for coffee and tea that puts out scalding hot water on demand! We were on a lower floor (8l, but the view was still good we were even able to see the weekly Friday night fireworks show from our balcony.A cool thing we didn't know was that this hotel is in the middle of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, which is comprised of multiple hotel properties and a shopping and restaurant center. You could, spend ypur entire vacation on property if you wanted. I'd definitely go back to this property, but would love to try out one of the other Hitlon hotels on site just to compare. All im,other than the parking situation, this is an putstanfin experience!

This was our second stay at The Hilton Hawaiian Village and the rooms, village amenities and staff hospitality again did not disappoint! The Grand Islander was nicely appointed, perhaps a touch more modern than our previous stay at The Grand Waikikian. We love the location, landscaping, pools, beaches and lagoon. Everything for a Hawaiian vacation at our fingertips! We were happy with the convenience of the stores in The Rainbow Market. Thr ABC Store which had basic but pricey groceries, souveniers and even prepared foods was 3 minutes from our room! However, the market itself is in dire need of a facelift. I cannot say enough about the accommodating staff, great service each and every time. Mahalo!

Entertainment system Review:As a whole our stay was nice, I want to call out the entertainment system Hilton has clearly downgraded to. I remember my last stay being more seamless, this appears to be intentionally bad. It's clearly designed to be frustrating and annoying so that you will not be tempted to stay in the room and watch TV, use AC, cost them energy. It's 2025, there is no longer any excuse for having a frustrating and unusable entertainment system.

This place gets a single star just for its location and resort amenities. Service gets negative 5 stars. We are preferred members and got nothing but headaches from the very start. Wrong room at check at check in that somehow took 30 minutes as the lady "had to speak with a manager"but really seemed like she was in hiding for messing up reservations. Asked many times for pillows, towels, and basic toiletries that never came for our stay. We turned down the 1 day a week cleaning as we had just gotten there and room was still in decent condition. Nothing to help offset saving them time and money. Tub was stained so not taking a bath in that thing. Cherry on top was there was actual shit stains still left in the toilet. This place ain't it chief.
