We stayed to celebrate my wife's birthday. We loved staying here at the Hokulani, the "heavenly star"! Such great customer service from the front desk, bell, valet, housekeeping, and maintenance teams. They work together for the best guest experience. We have known many of the staff for years, and we feel close to them. They are the reason we look forward to our staycations here. Thanks to Zachary, Allen, Trey, Gemie, Brian, Michael, Brandus, Cam, Paul, Yoko, and Satomi, for always welcoming us with genuine Aloha when we stay. We look forward to our next visit!

Really enjoyed our stay here at the Hokulani! We are HGV owners and decided to do a staycation so we could utilize our left over points. Located on the corner of Kalakaua Ave. & Lewers St., such an awesome location! Parking is valet only and was $45 per day. It is pricey but it is one of the cheaper rates compared to what we heard other hotels charge. This hotel used to be the Outrigger East and it has been renovated. Modern decor and very nice! What I loved was that the lobby area was not a crowded, hustle and bustle mess like it was when we walked over to the Sheraton, it was chill.Staff was friendly and whenever we needed anything like extra towels or coffee, they were very fast and responsive. We had a 1 bedroom suite which was spacious and clean, shower and a stand alone tub, double sinks and a large LED lighted mirror in the bathroom. A nice small balcony, and our room had the most amazing view of the sunset every evening. Kitchen with a 2 burner glass top stove, small refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, rice cooker, plates, cups, mugs, silverware, pots and pans and a microwave. Also included was a pitcher that you could fill with filtered water, they had 2 dispensers, one on the third floor and one in the lobby. They had a gym, which my husband made use of each morning and a roof top lap pool with a bar and cabanas with TV's.What I loved was the location, just a walk across the street was the Royal Hawaiian Center with tons of places to eat and shop. Our first night there we just walked across the street to have dinner at PF Chang's and the next morning walked across the street to have breakfast at Giovanni Pastrami. Downstairs there is the Waikiki Beachwalk Shopping Center with an ABC Store, shops and restaurants. We walked about a block down Kalakaua and went to the Waikiki Shopping Plaza and had a meal at Stix Asia. So much more to explore but we only stayed for 3 nights.Would highly recommend this hotel.

Service and location were fantastic. Front desk offered a noise machine in case street noise is a concern and if you need items like an external monitor, slippers, yoga mat, humidifier, etc. it's available upon request which was quite nice. Location is close to the Royal Hawaiian Center and close to so many restaurants as well as Waikiki beach. Prefer this over rooms at the Hilton Hawaiian Village as that can get overwhelmingly crowded. We had accidentally left a few items (memory drives and cables) for our GoPro and those items were quickly located by housekeeping and the front desk made sure to contact us to process a return. Everything was intact and memories were saved. Thanks so much!

Pay for the view. I like that it's modern, pool deck with bar and mini golf is a nice extra. Beds and sheets are comfy. Thick walls so you don't hear loud neighbors. Wide halls. I normally don't like giving my money to Paris, but made an exception this time. No regrets.

We stayed at the Hilton Hokulani using our timeshare options. Out of the HGVC resorts we've tried to date, this one deserves more than 5 stars! Our stay was perfect from beginning to end.The staff was amazingly courteous and responsive. Special thanks to Yoko who happened to be at the front desk whenever we needed something. She was always so sweet. Everyone we encountered, whether it be at the lobby, hallway, elevator or parking garage, made a point to greet us and oftentimes ask how our stay was going. There is not enough time or space to write about the numerous wonderful features of this property, so I'll try to keep to the highlights. We enjoyed everything about our room. We stayed in a spacious corner suite on the 9th floor. The layout was modern and thoughtful. My favorite was the soaker bathtub. I loved how the water comes down from the ceiling! After a full day of shopping, walking or touring, it was a nice way to unwind and relax in super-warm water while watching a show on the in-mirror TV. There are large smart TVs in the living room and bedroom. The kitchenette had more than everything we needed, all organized in the hidden cabinets. I don't usually drink the coffee provided in any hotel/resort, but the brand that was in our room (LION) was very good! It was the first time I asked for more -- our kitchenette was stocked with enough for our stay. The large glass sliding doors spanned almost the entire far wall. We routinely opened them to let the fresh air and sun into our room.Perfectly situated in downtown Waikiki, shopping, dining and the beach are just steps or an easy walk away. When we needed to drive, HUI was conveniently in their parking garage. Secure elevator access utilizes the unbranded room card that needs to be tapped outside the elevator, then selecting the destination floor. There are no floor buttons inside the elevator.Beautiful rooftop pool and spacious lounge areas.Thank you to everyone at the Hokulani -- we can't wait to come back!

Beautiful, clean hotel in a very convenient location with excellent customer service. The people at the front desk were very pleasant and kind, willing to patiently provide information related to the hotel and local outside activities. The guys in valet were excellent and very personable. I ran into an issue where my key to my room malfunctioned and maintenance was immediately on top of it. I even got a follow up visit/call from Tomoku (Manager) who ensured that things were cared for properly and I was completely satisfied. It's because of experiences like this that I would come back to Hilton properties such as this one and desire to remain a HGV owner and Diamond member. Great job HGV Hokulani!

Perfect stay along the Waikiki Beach Walk. From our check in with Joshua to check out, it was really a great vacation. Thanks also to Yoko and Susan for the VIP service and the Red Envelopes to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The room was unexpectedly so well set up. Comfy king size bed and separate living room. Bathroom with a soaking tub with a rain shower, another rain shower in the separate shower, bidet and a TV in the bathroom mirror. Waterproof floating remote control included. Fully stocked kitchen included a rice maker, separate fridge and freezer, dishwasher, two burner stove and microwave. Location is in the heart of a shopping district. Lion Dance for Lunar New Year. Night markets with fresh papaya, pineapple and mangoes. Hula dancers and music. Upscale shopping. Food courts....and a gallery filled with Chagall, Agam and Dali. Small balcony. No view from the room, but Waikiki Beach is two blocks away. So easy to walk to the beach for sunrise or sunset or to spend the afternoon at the beach. Walk to the Hilton Hawaiian Village to catch the Starlight Luau. Go to the roof top to soak up some sun with a complimentary yoga class to start the day as the sun rises. End the day in the hot tub or a private cabana. The views of the city are so beautiful. Nice to be able to park at the property and valet was reasonable at $30 a day. The valet service was so nice. Loved the extra features at the hotel like the complimentary yoga classes. So lucky to be able to experience a very private Lion Dance in the hotel lobby for Lunar New Year. Gōng xǐ fā cái. Great service and a very comfortable stay. Mahalo!

This 5-star review is for the bartender Shane, I went to the pool to grab a drink and relax for a couple of hours. He recommended the lava flow which is now my absolute favorite drink! He was witty and funny and provided great recommendations for car rentals, hikes, restaurants and things to do near the area. We ended up staying more than a couple hours just talking story! Nothing short of an amazing time!
