Hideout is the best way to describe this spot. Waikiki is packed with tourist including us so if you're looking to get away from the crowd but still have a nice view/roof top vibes, the hideout was such a nice getaway. It does get busy at night so I recommend booking a reservation. Since it's more like chill hang out spot, a seated area might be slower than a restaurant. Booking a reservation especially with a larger group could get you a better view too!We didn't order any food but wished we did! We just finished dinner at another location and decided to come here for drinks. The view, the service, the cocktails, live music on a summer night! Even got a sweet treat for my bday and it was so good?!! stop! It was the perfect way to end the night during a travel day.

I love the vibe at the hideout. Whether for breakfast, drinks, or a light snack. The staff are awesome. And the setting definitely lives up to the name. A little semi - outdoor hideout / oasis amidst the city crowds and noise. We had breakfast here most mornings. And drinks on a couple occasions. And more than anything else, I just loved being outside taking in the sights and sounds all while being treated to great service and occasionally live music. Just a tip - definitely make reservations. Most nights it was absolutely packed, albeit it was over the holidays.

Hideout holds a special place in our hearts as this was the first restaurant we went to celebrate our engagement about 3 years ago. Last night we stopped by again and it was just as amazing as our last visit. The ambiance was amazing from live music to the atmosphere to the food and drinks. Luckily we were able to walk in and sat at the bar which I prefer and Aaron was attentive even though he was busy with making awesome drinks. I tried the Lilikoi martini which was good but too sweet for my liking. The hideout special espresso martini was tasty, I enjoyed the mac nut foam. My husband got beer. As for food we tried the french fries which was seasoned but it gave us heartburn lol. The kalbi bowl was delicious though, the meat was tender, white rice cooked well and the kimchi was good.

Absolutely love the ambiance here! This rooftop's decor and live music makes this easily one of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm in Honolulu. Great date night spot or place to go with friends to get a table! Cocktails are solid. Espresso brownie isn't bad but not a must-have.

Stopped by to meet friends for a couple drinks and had a blast. Served was quick and super friendly. I was packer but that didn't stop the great service. Loved the feel and the DJ was so good. I wish we got to stay longer! I will go back to experience it more and maybe try out some food. The espresso martini was yummy , but by the second I would say it was a little sweet. So I just sipped on some bourbon. But check this place out! Super fun!

This bar was recommended by one of the locals we chatted with so we decided to check it out and had some really fun people watching! The vibes were great - a talented DJ was spinning r&b/house remixes, lots of different groups of people from very drunk groups to chill groups, to people who came solo. There was lots of different seating options available including bar tops, tables, and firepits - where we sat! We ordered some food and drinks which were all great! Got to chat with a few very friendly people and had a really great end to our night here!

A must every time we visit Oahu!Honestly it beats all of the other rooftops in the Honolulu area. The service, atmosphere, live music and food never disappoints. The brussel sprouts and dumplings are my go-to every time.I was celebrating three of my friend's birthdays, so we bought a cake and asked to drop it off early (it was a surprise and we were staying at the hotel). The lovely hostess refrigerated it for a few hours until we arrived and were ready to sing! Such great hospitality and friendly faces all around here.I will always recommend the hideout to anyone who visits Oahu!

We had the pleasure of snagging a Valentine's Day dinner reservation and while we did not eat off the pre-frixe menu I cannot recommend the Hideout enough. The entire vibe is incredible and very easy to get to on foot with an escalator and elevator taking you to the second story coffee shop turned restaurant. I would not recommend driving if one can help it due to the difficulty of parking in downtown Waikiki. Our server Bri was amazing, she was attentive, funny, and so welcoming to us. The restaurant has live music which was fantastic and the perfect amount of chill for a gorgeous lanai environment. For sure the best place to request a table is the lanai rather than the indoor covered dining, however both sections were excellent ambiance. The bar staff was quick even with a holiday rush and neither my wife nor I were long without a drink. The truffle fries were excellent, the aoli they're served with is perfect. I look forward to my next visit, maybe during the day when the Hideout is a coffee shop.

Still such a great spot for happy hour but it does end at 5:30pm. Live music is daily and starts at 6pm. Chill ambiance and always friendly service. It's located at the Laylow hotel so they have valet parking. I always suggest making a reservation as it gets busy.

We were excited to try this place. We were looking for somewhere rooftop. It is rooftop, however, no true good "view" as it's only a few floors up and not on the beach--that's ok. We walked up hoping to get a seat, and there was only bar or fire pit area available. All tables were saved for reservations. I didn't love the little corner we were sat in--felt like we were kind of off and separated from the rest of the restaurant. The little tables they had in that area were not really suitable for ordering food, either. Super small and low. We ordered the egg rolls and poke tacos for appetizers. Both were good. The egg rolls definitely needed the pineapple sauce served with it. We split a burger for dinner and that was good--a little plain, but good. Drinks were enjoyable.I think next time we go, we'll have to make a reservation so we can be more in the restaurant area. I think that would've made a big difference on overall experience.
