Hickam Memorial Theater

Hey it's very convenient that it's so close by our house and really cheap. I love it that I can just watch enjoy pretty newer movies for decent prize . I like this theater and people can say about kids stuff but it's for our airman families we can't help it when kids be kids . My kids are quiet actually and their older but yeah . Watch out for free movies on this theater . Thank you for your service !

Boy people have gotten spoiled over the years, it's a good theater and serves it's purpose. It's as basic as it gets movie theater. The seats are good, sound is good, and it's the cheapest show in town. No, there are no reclining eats, IMAX, gourmet concessions, alcohol, and the sound os basic theater sound... but guess what? It's a movie, in a theater and you're being entertained. What more do you need?

At $4.50 per ticket, you're seeing a movie in the theater that's been out for a while. The concessions are average - definitely cheaper than off-base. Sodas, popcorn, candy. You do, however, get what you pay for - just watched a movie here last night (I think our 3rd time at this theater) and I could hear this clicking sound every time there was a quiet scene... it really took away from the movie, in my opinion. It sounded like as the reel was spinning, it was knocking into something every go around.Anyway, it's a nice cheap place to catch that movie that you missed out on a couple of weeks ago! Sometimes it's not very tidy, but at least it doesn't stink, and it's not usually full unless it's the theater's first showing of a REALLY popular movie.

Meh is right. Sure it's convenient for on the fly movie meet-ups with my friends and all our kidlets, nice that it is within walking distance, BUT the theater is just blah, sound system is usually set too low (when I can hear the 20 people surrounding me, just breathing, I think the volume should go up a bit!) and people attending seem to think because admittance is cheap and a family-friendly movie is playing, they can allow A. kids to roller-shoe up and down the aisle pre-movie, B. toddlers (with rank diapers I might add) run down the row and bang vacant seats repeatedly during movieC. said toddlers crying, SCreaming and general bickering with their siblingsApparently all movie-going etiquette goes out the window. *sigh* and every time I remind myself why I vowed not to return. LOL I'm a glutton for punishment I guess.

Cheap tickets so nice. Most base theaters are set up this way. U kinda know what to expect. My only thought would be to switch up the movies a little. Sometimes repeat the same movies all weekend.

It's huge! Lots of free parking, decent little snack bar and you can't beat the price!

This theater is great for military members and dependents on a budget. The tickets are $4.50 a piece, which is reasonable for the island. The theater is clean for the most part and the service is decent. The concessions are also decent. We don't go to regular off-base theaters, and this is a military theater- so I won't even compare it. The prices are much more reasonable, you just have to be willing to wait for the movie that you want to see. Of the two on base theaters, Sharkey's on the Navy side is my favorite of the two... but they have differing schedules so we just prefer to go wherever a movie is playing we would like to see.

cheap tickets, school auditorium style seating, screen is small, snack bar is expensive and food is limited.

Your typical military base theater. Can't beat the ticket price, and even though popcorn is $5.75 for a large, it is still a lot cheaper than off base.

The theater has been closed ever since the pandemic started in 2020 and hasn't opened except for special meetings.
