Jill the HIBISCUS LADY IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.Love her dedication to her work and I love the selection of hybrid hibiscuses. There were some I saw online that I wanted, but Jill didn't feel comfortable selling because they weren't big enough and a good enough quality YET. I loved that spirit of excellence she has rather than selling quickly just to make a profit. She's my go to for sure!!!

If you LOVE hibiscus, you must check out Jill's hibiscus selections online, call her, then go pick up your babies. Normally her nursery is open but due to the coronavirus pandemic, she has her nursery closed to the public but you can still buy her exotic and amazing hibiscus.I've been bit by the hibiscus bug and pretty badly I must admit. I went from one plant (from Lowe's) to over 20, with collections from Wal-Mart, Lowe's, Home Depot, Logee's Greenhouse (online), Hidden Valley Hibiscus (online), Happy Plants Nursery in Waimanalo and Jill's amazing hibiscus!!!Why do I love hibiscus so much? It's true that the flowers only last a day or two (or three, depending on plant variety) but one of the main reasons I have hearts in my eyes is due to the fact that you can hybridize your very own hibiscus, and call it whatever you want (within reason). You can cross pollinate different flowers, say a red one and a blue one, and come up with something purple or blue with red borders, or a deep red one, or a purple one with red borders! It's like painting with nature, you just have to have patience (and a few plants).Once you have your own hybrid, you can register it at International Hibiscus Society but it's not that easy, of course. True hybridizers try to create something better or equal to the original parents; such as color, disease resistance, vigor, upright vs bushy, etc. It takes years to create something totally worthwhile. Me, I'm shallow and just in it for the fun. I want to create a hibiscus that I can name after my parrot, or my favorite color or my cute neighbor's daughter; after all, I've seen some interesting hibiscus names like "pond scum", "dracula", "$e* on the beach", among others...If you look up Jill's hybrids, she's registered 93 distinct and unique hybrids that are all her own! Check out International Hibiscus Society and you can see everything she's created; to me that is total dedication! When you purchase something from someone who loves what they are doing, it really shows. When you buy your hibiscus from Jill, she lovingly grooms them and has all the leaves polished and ready to go! My plants are super healthy and thriving and totally loving all the attention I'm giving them.

I had a wonderful positive experience with Jill. My plants are beautiful and had specific labels for each plant, detailed instructions for care, and even some extra blossoms for me to take home.
