HI Burger

Melt in your mouth pulled pork sandwich and hot crisp fries definitely delivered the meal I needed after a long plane ride. Will beBack to try another burger.Enjoy!

We always park in the back parking lot and walk through the alley passing by HI burger and I have always wanted to try their Kahuku Shrimp Burger cause yknow... thats my jam.Finally on Christmas day we said you know what lets just go! So we drove all the way to Waikiki and finally ate at HI Burgers.This restaurant is located inside a tiny food court-esque thing on Lewers street and can be easily missed if you're not looking in the right place. They sell the typical things a burger place sells - burgers, sandwiches, fries, and a variety of drinks and shakes.We arrived around 7 pm and there quite a few people in there already. Luckily, I snagged some seats while my fiance went to put in our order of Kahuku shrimp burger, classic burger, peanut butter shake, and truffle fries.We sat down and waited... and waited... and waited... the line for the register was getting longer and longer by the second and it seemed like the girl at the register was struggling between running out food and taking orders. It took a hot minute for our shake to come out and another hot minute for everything else to come out. By the time the food came out, our peanut butter shake was completely gone :( In total, our wait time was about 45 minutes to get everything. I'm not sure if it was because it was a Christmas rush or if they just seem to be perpetually understaffed but the three people working there definitely busted their butts that night.Although it took so long, the food was actually really great. The peanut butter shake was incredible and my fiance said his classic burger was one of the best burgers he had ever had. My kahuku shrimp burger was everything I wanted and more. The only thing I was not a huge fan of at all was the truffle fries. Unfortunately I think the truffle fries was the first thing they made and was sitting on the counter for a while waiting for everything else. It was lukewarm at best and didn't taste a hint like truffle. For almost $8, it's definitely not something I would order again. Speaking of price, this is definitely not a place you can just go for a simple meal. The burgers do not come with any drinks or sides and at $16-19 each, it is VERY pricy. In total, our bill for a couple burgers, a drink, and fries was well over $50.Would I come again? Sure! Would I come very often? Probably not.

THICK, juicy, greasy, fatty burgers. I got the pesto burger to-go and it was good for what it was, I love a thick patty and their parmesan cheese fries were also decent.It takes about a good 15-20 min to receive your meal, it can get busy and the patties take a while to cook.My couple of complaints is that I'd like to see the patty more cooked all the way around, like flash fried or something after the grilling because it was undercooked and high fat that the patty texture was like sludge. I would have also liked seasoning on my burger patty even if it was just salt and pepper.This restaurant shares a food court with about four other stalls and restaurant upstairs. There's a decent amount of seating inside and a couple large picnic benches and tables outside.

I was super hungry when we went so i'm sure that was a contributing factor...but it was one of the top 5 burgers I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, super meaty, flavorful and juicy. Rings crispy and flavorful. Not cheap...but great quality of food.

Stopped by this place because it was right across from our hotel and it was the only thing open in the area. I honestly didn't expect much but wow this was definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had. The patty was thick, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. Also the owners were so nice. Would definitely reccomend.

Pretty good burgers. I do like mine a bit more seasoned but isn't it always just fun to add pineapple to anything while in Hawaii.Staff was quiet but nice. Food was made to order so took a minute, came out piping hot and yummy.Not opposed to going again if in the area.

HI Burger is a take-out counter within a mini food hall on Lewers St. serving 100% beef gourmet burgers, and local sandwich favourites such as the Kahuku Shrimp and pulled-pork.The burgers are made to order so there is a bit of a wait after you place your order, but it's so worth it. The burgers here were so flavourful and juicy! I ordered the pineapple burger and loved every bite.There are both indoor and outdoor seating available in the food hall so you don't need to worry about finding a place to eat.

It's a fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter. It took about 10 minutes for my food to be ready.I got the pineapple burger with bbq sauce instead of teriyaki. The bun was toasted and the burger was cooked well. It was a great flavor combination

We are so happy we found this place walking down the street from our hotel. This seems like a hidden gem. The burgers are so juicy and packed with flavor. I had the pesto burger I loved it so much it's all I've been craving. The burger is really filling. We also go chili cheese fries the chili reminds me of the chili back home from a fast food place but with much better fries. If you love flavor this is the spot, You can sit at an outdoor table and enjoy the sounds of big city Hawaii or you can sit inside the small building with air conditioning if your too hot. The service was really good I'm assuming the owner has helped us out the 2 times we have been she's sweet and happy

This place is bomb. The food was awesome and watching them make it to order is worth the wait. It's bit slow and the ambiance is walkup beach wear so it fits the island vibe. Don't rush just enjoy. The only drawback for us was that it was a bit of a hike from the beach. Just exercise tho.
