Heaven’s Soul Food Cuisine

Have eaten here twice. The food is always delicious and well seasoned. The workers are very friendly and being a taste of Soul food to O'ahu. Food truck is on the larger side, so easier to find amongst the sea of other food trucks. Truck is clean on the inside and outside. Having been several times to Southern US states this food is the closest and best on island I have found.

This is a five star place for the island. I am far from being an expert but I have had would food from other places on the mainland and it was slightly better. The catfish here is season well and fried well. Mac and cheese and collard greens was yummy. Green beans with smoke turkey was just as yummy. The rib plate was yummy with the sides.

I ordered and paid $16 for a "Beef Po Boy".It's a " f' in" Costco beef hot dog with bbq sauce and slaw. Talk about being "Okie Doked". I have to take some responsibility, for not checking the box before I left. But imagine driving home thinking you're getting bbq brisket or something like that, to find a Hot Dog you could have paid $1.50 for.... AND, could have gotten a free drink!They had ran out of most of their side dishes only had fries, which weren't bad and rice. No collard greens. No Mac and cheese. The wait was excruciating ( 20+ minutes for a hot dog and fries).

Stopped by during a festival recently and we ordered a chicken wing plate....after the first bite I wished we ordered 2! The seasoning and crispiness were perfect. $20 for a wing plate with fries. It is made to order so expect a little wait, but trust that it's worth it! The owner mentioned they are @ the pearl ridge mall during the week. Check them out!!

I have not have many soul food since there's not many on island, but different hits my soul to another dimension. The catfish plate definitely touched my spirit because it was so tender and seasoned very well with crispy exterior. I had it with a side of mac n' cheese and yams and it brought me to food coma. The price can be intimidating, but it is worth it for the portion size and quality. I would definitely try out their other items on the menu! :D

"Food So Good It Touches Your Soul"...Brand new food truck opened up specializing in soul food. Owners are originally from Ohio and brought their food truck to Hawaii. The nicest and kindest people to serve you! Only been open for 1 month, but I see this place getting very popular once people find it. The food is DELICIOUS! Personally I think this is the best catfish I've tasted so far in Hawaii. Hard to find some real soul food. We got the catfish plate ($26) and it was a large portion to share between 2 people! Plate came with 2 large tender and crispy pieces of catfish under some rice and sides of choice (baked beans, candied yams, mac n cheese). So good that we were even tempted to buy a second plate to save for later lol. Follow on IG @heavenssoulfood for updates as they go around the island, however, they mainly frequent the Geiger Community Park in Ewa. We were lucky to spot them in Kailua for the grand opening of Lifted Spirits. Go support them and let the food do the talking!

Food reviews: Heaven's Soul Food Cuisine. A food truck at Pearlridge in the old Sears parking lot. Ribs and fried chicken wings. I was the last customer just before closing (7:00pm). So the ribs had been around for the whole day. But t was still good. Very smoky. Well seasoned. The wings were fried to order. Super tasty. Crunchy outside, moist inside. Well seasoned batter. Much like KFC's, but better. Collards were smoky( from the smoked turkey mixed in) and salty. Baked beans were spicy, and yams were very sweet. Typical of southern style foods, so I've been told. Saw this on my yelp. Had to try it. Definitely worth going back.

Food was amazing. Perfect seasoning on catfish and perfect amount of sweet to candied yams. Soo goood!!!! My boyfriend loved the walking taco too.

Their food is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! We've tried the catfish, chicken wings, pork BBQ. Ribs, and wet burritos and they're all good. Collard greens are made from fresh collard greens unlike other soul food restaurants in Hawaii who use frozen collards. Mac and cheese is amazing and they got this unique stuffing that's also pretty good. Yams are good but a little too sweet. And baked beans are good and not from a can. The only thing is they take a really long time to prepare your food so you'll be there for a while waiting for your food. Also, they're not consistent with their hours. Saturday night they posted that they'll be open at 11am on Sunday but come Sunday at 1045am they posted they'll open at 12pm. I drive in from town so by the time they posted that they'll be open at 12pm I was already on my way to Pearl city. Had to wait over an hour to order then another hour for my food. Their hours are till 7pm but they run of out of food quick so I like to go early yet their hours are unreliable so it deters me from going sometimes. They're friendly but service could be better. They could offer their customers who wait over 30 minutes some refreshments while we wait especially since we're all waiting in the sun. It's located in the Pearl ridge parking lot where there are other food truck vendors. Truck looks clean and presentable inside and out. There's also no trash bins anywhere in the area so it makes you not want to eat there even though there's a picnic table set up in the shaded area.

Absolutely amazing Customer Service and the food is devine, being a county girl from Tennessee, I'm always looking for some soul food, they have excelled my expectations! When I say food to live for, that's exactly what they serve!
