The store is compact with items ranging from traditional aloha clothing, handmade one of a kind quilt, to Ecuador woven hats. Their products consist of simple tourist items to one of a kind pieces unique to their store. I have shopped at their store for the past 7 years. I have bought a queen size bed cover and a 42x42 inch quilt. I have compared prices with other quilt stores around the area. Unless you plan to go to a flea market or directly to the wholesaler themselves, the store has set very reasonable prices, for being located in Royal Hawaiian Center of Waikiki.From my understanding, many of their aloha shirts and aloha dresses are also custom made for Hawaiian Island Arts. The cut of their aloha shirts and aloha dresses are tailored to make the clothing fit and look better.Service: Aside from their high-level products, their service has to be the next best thing about Hawaiian Island Arts. By the time I left the store, I got a personal lesson on Hawaiian culture, cottons and different fabrics, and the difference in stitching styles. I am often blown away by how much the workers know about their items. They explain the different material and dimensions, I always leave happy.The two young gentlemen that always help me are extremely kind and helpful to all their customers. My daughter loves coming with me to the store every time I go to visit. Ever since the first time we visited, the young gentlemen have been nothing but kind and patient.Parking: Validation given with purchase. As of May 2021, 3 hours of parking are given for a validation.Lots of parking spaces in the Royal Hawaiian Parking. However, parking does fill up rather quickly.Suggestions: Ask questions. Look around. Their prices range due to the different material and stitching patterns. Often times, they have sales on their previous season's items, so ask for help if you are on a budget. They have Aloha clothing that are different from the ones you get from places like ABC store, so ask questions with preferences and other input.Overall Rating: 4.5/5

Yes, this place is certainly pricey. And sure, you might be able to find some of these items cheaper on the internet. But we appreciated the personal service and locally made Hawaiian items (because who wants to come home with a Hawaiian shirt made in China?) We specifically asked for items made on the Islands and they had no qualms about telling us exactly where everything was from. They were honest in letting us know that they DID carry some items that were not made locally and though they were cheaper, we shied away from those things. We were happy to spend a bit more on a matching family set in a lovely Hawaiian print knowing that it was produced right there in Honolulu. And, we found the sales staff to be incredibly helpful and accommodating. We were certainly satisfied with our shopping experience and went home with some wonderful items, both for ourselves and to give as gifts.

Unique style of clothing. You can find family matching style clothing in here. Very nice sales and explain everything in details. From casual wear to top of the line quality, of course it is not easy to find child style but you can defiantly give it a try here. Some brand is a bit more expensive than buy them online (if you can find them) but it is okay to support family local business here paying a lot of rent being in Waikiki tourist area. I would appreciate if they list out to pricing on their label instead of inquire about the price for every single clothing. We enjoy our shopping experience here even it may be a bit more expensive as I say getting it online but good luck in finding the exact style you want.

Very Useful. Unique quilts I couldn't find anywhere else as well as a wide cheaper gift selection. The workers were able to explain the different quality and prices thoroughly helping me understand the huge selection that is available around the island. I advise you to talk to the workers for help for the best choice.

Overcharges bags and quilts by hundreds of dollars that are made in China. They claim their items are made locally but it's a lie.

Don't shop here!! Horrible place, things were twice the price of that in Ala Moana mall (which is two blocks away). Refuse to return/refund/discount when asked about their overpriced items. Extremely rude staff as well, would give negative stars if I could!

They were terrible at pushing us and had NO price tags on the clothes. Unfortunately i was taking a phone call after purchasing one rayon button down shirt and small children's hat. I was charged $135.00 for two cheap items that i should have only paid no more than $30 dollars for at the ABC local stores. Extremely pushy and shysters by not putting price tags on anything!!
