Since we enjoyed it here the last time, decided to treat the family here again including my sister and brother in law who's visiting from the East Coast. Everyone enjoyed the many selections of veggies, sauces, gyoza and seafood. We loved the service...they were very attentive by constantly asking if we needed more meat.Their Pearlridge location is less than 2 miles away from where we live but we come to this Waipahu location because of their seating arrangements. Waipahu has individual chairs versus Pearlridge has booths where people would have to move if someone sitting on the inside wants to get more food.Soft drinks are still $1 for a large cup with free refills...good deal! They also reward you 10% based on your bill that you can use on your next visit AND it doesn't expire. This place is located next to McDonalds on the outside of Waipahu Shopping Center with lots of free parking.

It was a very bad dinner experience. The food was fine overall and not much different from other restaurants. As far as I know, there are several similar restaurants on this island. I've been to the ones in Pearl Harbor and Ala Moana. The young waiters there were positive, optimistic, smiling and always serving you. I was willing to tip more for that. But I don't understand why there is such a big difference between the same kind of restaurants. The service was terrible or even non-existent, they didn't seem to understand much English, we had to repeat ourselves several times, never asked us to add water, rice or meat, we are not AYCE? The food was not fresh, the mushrooms were not washed, I could see the dirt on them, the seafood had a bit of smell, the shrimp heads were still red, I was worried if they were poisoned? I could see a few flies flying around the bar. The hygiene was disappointing. The broth has no taste at all. Can adding a few mushrooms still be called mushroom soup? There is no mushroom taste at all. The only thing worth liking is the sauce bar.

This was my first time trying and I enjoyed it!! The food was great. I had the miso broth and tried many of the veggies and meat options. It is all you can eat with some add ons for extra money. They have a noodles, veggies, sauce, and meat/fish stations with lots of options to choose from. The restaurant is a decent size, but it can get crowded when it is filled with customers. Luckily we went at a great time, no wait!! The service was friendly and fairly quick response when we needed refills on broth or meats. Pricing is fair and there is a lunch time and dinner time (I did lunch since it was only 1PM).If you stay there for a bit you will definitely get hot due to the hotpot's going, so just bring in your handy dandy fan!! Must try this spot out!!

I always enjoy eating Shabu Shabu all you can eat! The service was nice they didn't rush us. The artwork on the wall are pretty cool too. I love taking all their beef tendons because sometimes it's hard to find them in some stores lol I also avoid eating rice to get my moneys worth. lol

Great place for hot pot if you like many different options (meat, vegetables, seafood and sauces)...the staff is also very helpful. It's byob, but if you eating AYE hot pot, you probably not drinking...I like how all the items are pre wrapped, the area where they do sauces and vegetables is clean. I really like the options with the sauce along with their recommendations for different types of dipping sauce. As for the broth not the richest flavors...but dipping sauces makes up for it.

Went for dinner and it was packed there. Only problem is the tables are so close to each other and you had to walk sideways wherever you go. Food was good. The veggies and other non meat items are buffet style so you just go up to grab but like I stated, you have to walk sideways. Was worried I'd drop food on someone because it is very cramped in there. The meats were good. We mainly got the beef ribeye which was great. The sauces had lots of options as well and their house sauce tasted great. The broth... I got the miso broth so it was nothing special compared to other shabu shabu spots but it tasted amazing nonetheless. Overall I would go here again but I would rather go when it's not too busy. I did not like how cramped it was in there and I sure did not like walking sideways in between other peoples chairs.

I appreciated the sanitary setup at Hawaii Pot Shabu Shabu House. It's an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) spot where you grab the ingredients yourself from the fridge, and everything is individually wrapped, which feels very hygienic. They even have gloves at the sauce station for extra sanitation. There were plenty of veggie and mushroom options, though I found the meat selection a bit limited compared to other Shabu Shabu places. The service was good--our server kept checking in to see if we wanted more meat and came by regularly to collect empty plates and trash. I tried the coconut chicken soup, but the coconut flavor was pretty faint--the basil really overpowered it. My friend enjoyed her veggie broth though. Parking is available in the back but the spots are a bit tight.Overall, a clean and convenient AYCE spot with great service, but some of the flavors didn't fully hit the mark for me.

I eat here at least 3 times a month, I love how it's buffet style and not ala cart like some other Shabu shabu , I'm not gonna mention names cough cough hot pot heaven .. oops lol.. any ways the veggie bar always looks lean and the veggies are always fresh I've never seen anything wilted , also love how they have the fridge where u can help yourself, there's tofu, gyoza , beef , pork and veggie, also in the fridge they have fish balls all types of um, I believe they have clams or muscles , there's spam , Japanese sausage .. so yah there's a lot of options.. they have about 8 broths to choose from the broths could be a lil more flavorful in my opinion but that's ok because they have the shit load of sauces on the side, like shoyu , sesame oil, chili oil, ponzu sauce, hoisin, oyster sauce also if your broth is not up to par fear not, u can always enhance it with the side sauces ..staff is some what friendly , but their good at refilling your drinks asking if u need more meat and picking up your empty plates that u get from the mini fridge , this is my fav hot pot place we'll only Becuase its the closes , my other fav hot pot is in ward shopping center it's called chon qing, i know that has nothing to do with this place but if your a hot pot lover the one in ward is really good to!

This place is so good! It is roomier than the other Hawaii pot locations. For dinner they do ayce crab legs and it is so good! I wish they would put drawn butter in their sauce area for the crab legs. That would be spectacular. However everything is delicious none the less! Go to hot pot in Hawaii!
