My kids started coming to HOPS around April of 2019. It's been as consistent as we can take them but they absolutely love it. Since the kids are the ones who participate, they are responsible for this review. We like the people: Kevin (owner),Taylor, Bree, Kelly, Mike, and Brook. They are all very helpful, push you to work your hardest, they don't let you slack, they positively motivate you, and you learn good technique. They help you to set goals and work towards those, customized workouts/training, specific to the movements of the sport you play. My son says they are never not there to help if I don't know something- makes working out fun. They love doing the regular workout as well as the speed and agility sessions. It's kind of pricy but worth it, when do you have kids actually asking you to make them appointments to work out- never, this is great. Although one con recently is the sessions expire in 2 months. I know from a business standpoint and consistency aspect but bummer. The parking is pretty small too but lots of street parking

Excellent choice for giving your kids foundational skills to build upon. Super friendly. Professional. Clean. Parking can get interesting. Internet nice to book classes and reload your account. Pay as you go. But need to use within a month. Hasn't been a problem yet. I highly recommend vs other options. This is foundational skills used in all sports.

HOPS has helped many athletes achieve their athletic goals. From those just starting out all the way to professional athletes. HOPS also works with non-athletes. They have other classes that help adults meet their health goals! The space is large enough to hold multiple sessions with various age groups and training goals. One side of the space has a turfed area which is utilized for warmups, agility, etc. The other side has all the weights from machine to free weights. So the question is why do I go to HOPS since I am no longer an athlete...haha well it's family so I try to go and workout to help me meet my own health goals. Prices are reasonable considering the programing that they provide for each client. It's the gym without the gym type BS if you know what I mean.

Attended core class and the new Burn class (high cardio, burn fat). Trainers were all wonderful. Smart training methods. Fun classes. Very friendly. Will push you if you want to be pushed. They are always conscious of your health and injuries if you have any. They will correct your form when necessary and compliment your efforts. Other members are really enjoyable to be around too. The gym itself is very high quality with all the necessary equipment and newest training tools. My strength and flexibility has increased dramatically after 4 consecutive classes this week. Will come back again. For new members, come in about an hour early for consultation and to stretch out. Then for classes from then on, I would recommend coming to class 30min early to get ready (drink water, individually stretch, bathroom beforehand)

Athlete or not, HOP is going to be the place for you! I recently came across HOP online. After about 8 years of chronic knee pain, which stemmed into lower back and hip pain after a year of college soccer. Things only progressively got worse with shoulder and neck dysfunctions, spreading into a constant tension in my chest and collar bone. Eventually I had to give up working out completely and I went from doing 5-10 miles of cardio a day, to barley being able to walk 1 or 2 miles without sever discomfort and pain. After spending $12,000-$15,000 on physio, chiro and other movement specialists over the years and being told I was close to needing knee and hip replacements, I began to think; if athletes can be severely injured and be back playing in a fraction of the time it takes a normal person to heal and then operate at that high level of performance again, what are their trainers doing differently than your average chiro, physio, or whoever we're normally told to go see. So back in November I came across HOP online and there was no going back. I have nothing but rave reviews about HOP from how friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable their staff are, how professional their facilities are and most importantly having function resorted to my body. When people ask me if Kevin (co-owner of HOP) is good, my only answer is "Yes! I feel human again". There is nothing worse than waking up every morning with stiffness, discomfort and quite honestly agony of constant, never ending pain and discomfort. You can easily begin to feel like a prisoner in your own body, especially when you're active and like to explore and now, just getting to the kitchen can seem like a tougher challenge than it is. Kevin used unique methods and combined therapies to get me to a place where my body would unlock and release the tension it was carrying. At times it was tough and discomforting, but there was no denying how good you felt leaving or the next day for that matter. Once we got to the functional movement, that's when it got fun and this is where we're working on muscle activation and functional movement techniques so that I don't end up in this position again. Mahalo Kevin and HOP team. I'm glad to be 26 again and not stuck in an ancient mummies body haha! You guys are the best!

There's absolutely nothing negative that I can say about HOP Waipio. They are thee best at what they do and they truly care about the athletes they train. My son plays football for St. Louis JV and in preparation for the upcoming football season, we wanted to give him a head start. That's when we decided to come check it out. After speaking with Kevin on the phone and expressing what we wanted to accomplish with our son, we scheduled an initial consultation where we got to see the facility and had a little evaluation done on my son to see where his flexibility levels were. They were able to determine what kind of training they could do with him to improve his flexibility and performance. They explained everything which goes to show how well they know their field. We were sold. We were able to prepay 10 sessions, which was available at a discount, and scheduled our sessions for twice a week. We recently finished the 10 sessions and decided to do 5 more. We might even extend it more when that's done. The staff here are outstanding. It feels like family coming here. They really get to know their clients and are genuinely invested in giving their very best when training. My son loves it! He leaves soaked in sweat and completely spent, but with that he feels accomplished. He's more confident in his abilities now and he also has the tools he needs to train at home if he wants to as well. They talk you through everything and make sure that parents of young clients are informed and involved. I absolutely love and appreciate that. If you're contemplating coming here to give it a try, I strongly encourage you to do so. After your consultation you'll know you're in the right place.

My 7 year old son just started football training today with Hawaii all star, Chad Owens! The facility is small, but yet it has everything that the clients need. Weights, space, CLEAN turf, balls, etc. The staff is really friendly and knowledgable. The program that my son is in started at 5, and Chad started promptly at 5 which gets it another star!Parking is limited in their parking lot, but there is more on the street. Parking tends to open up after 4pm.
