Hawaii Ocean Adventure Tours

We had an amazind experience diving with the Galapagos sharks! I felt like we learned a lot, and I felt really safe even though it was scary at first. Overall, such a life changing experience!

We went out with the team and had an amazing time! You could almost say it went swimmingly. After a 15 minute boat ride out, the captain and his crew tied us off and started calling in the sharks with underwater noisemakers (jars with something inside to shake and rattle). While the sharks are very wild, they are trained to come to the sound of the rattle due to decades of Hawaiian crabbers fishing in that area. We were in the water about 30-45 minutes and had sharks swimming around us the entire time. In total we had 4-5 Galapagos Sharks and 1 blacktip shark. The sharks were all around us and swam up to almost within touching distance ( I recommend that you don't pet the sea puppies i.e. sharks). My underwater camera isn't as nice as the ones they own but you can see how close and pretty the sharks were. I highly recommend going out with Hawaii Ocean Adventure Teams to swim with the sharks if you're feeling brave enough!!

By the far the highlight of our trip. Alex, Casey, and Lily were so funny and entertaining, and when we asked for house music, they happily obliged. Home and Alien have been on repeat since then. (shoutout Lily) They took us about 3 miles off shore to crystal clear waters where we had the absolute best time swimming with Galapagos sharks. We had 9 people with us and snorkels, masks, and fins were provided for all. We didn't see any tiger sharks, so I will def be returning for that. The crew did a great job of teaching us about the sharks, their behavior, and what to expect from the excursion. I was a bit nervous when I looked over the side of the boat and saw like 15 sharks circling, attracted to the noise of the motor. However, I felt completely safe in the hands of this experienced crew. I thought I would be zoinked on adrenaline, but it was actually a very serene and peaceful 30 minutes. In addition to the Galapagos sharks, we saw tiny jellyfish, some bioluminescence, and got to hear the whales singing!

Our family booked a snorkeling tour with Hawaii Ocean Adventure Tours and had the most incredible day! Sam and Nick were the best! Nick was with us in the water and made sure we spotted all of the turtles and so so many amazing fish. The boat was comfortable. They were both friendly and knowledgeable. We had so much fun. I will definitely be taking a tour with them again. Don't hesitate, you won't regret it!!!

2/28/2023 - My wife and I took her son out for a half day with Captain Danny. He was AMAZING, FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL. We shared lots of laughs and just some genuine conversation. He made us feel like Ohana..... We plan to return this summer for another day of fishing with Danny on the Finnatic....Mahalo Danny,Scott, Gina and Alec‍‍

We had an amazing time on our morning dive with sharks. The crew made us feel so safe and so comfortable swimming in the open ocean with Galapagos sharks! This was the absolute coolest experience of my life, and I couldn't recommend it enough!!

Second time on the boat. Sunset Cruise Being a local person I think this is the best low key thing to do when our family comes to visit. Its always wonderful to see the island from the water. Wonderful people who run the business always so helpful. We love them.

We went on a whale watching tour to celebrate my husband's birthday and it did not disappoint. Captain Kelley was the best! If you're thinking about booking a tour with this company do yourself a favor and just do it!

This cage-less shark dive was an adventure of a lifetime! My 8 year old daughter got in the ocean with several black-tipped sharks, and will always draw on that memory for courage Captain Ryan was super dedicated to finding us some more impressive sharks! The rest of us dove in with sandbar and huge Galapagos sharks! They were so peaceful and graceful that I got misty-eyed (in my mask) with awe just to be in their presence! Highly recommend Hawaii Ocean Adventures!
