Hawaii Beach Campervans

While fun and adventurous in theory, we had a very unfortunate experience with Hawaii Beach Campervans. We rented Roxanne. We were picked up from the airport in an employee's personal van with car seats, groceries, and his toddler in the vehicle! We were dropped off at the Polynesian Cultural Center to wait out the van being ready. Throughout the course of the day, the windows wouldn't roll down, the brake pedals locked up, wires were exposed, the car would not go into drive, and we had to meet a maintenance man at his residence in the dark to get it fixed. It was an overall unsafe van. To top it off, we got horrifically bitten by BED BUGS!! The company did right by us issuing a refund. While other travelers may have a better experience with a different employee and vehicle, I can't confidently recommend renting Roxanne from this unprofessional company.
