Jen is amazing! I couldn't ask for a better photographer for my daughter's cake smash and first birthday. My daughter cried plenty during the cake smash and was crawling all over the place. I was surprised Jen got good pictures out of her, but amazingly she got all the most precious and tender moments. She was also very patient and kind to my daughter. My daughter's birthday was perfect and the pictures were wonderful. We got really good family pictures, which difficult are to capture. My family was really happy with her photos. Jen worked well with my coordinator Geri of Angelic Creations during the birthday party. She stuck to the schedule and got all the right moments. I look forward to future grow with me sessions and future family photos.

As other reviewers have shared, I too can share that Jen is professional, patient, and very creative. I love the props she provides for the 1st birthdays! I've worked with her on at many 1st Birthdays and I always look forward to see how her props compliment the party theme.An event (1st Birthday, wedding reception, graduation party) will only happen once and you want to ensure that you pick a photographer who can catch those special moments on film. You also want a photographer that can provide those special shots to demonstrate their creativity. You also want photos that bring out emotion. I know she also does photoshoots as well...both indoors and outdoors. Pictures paint a thousand words and the photos she posts definitely speak thousands.As a business owner in the entertainment industry since 1995, I have worked with many photographers. If you're looking for a professional photographer who is creative, easy to work with, respectful to your guests, and patient to work with children to get that great photo, I highly recommend Hanabata Days Photography LLC.

As a gift to my sister and my niece/god-daughter I asked Jen if she could do a photo session for my 2 month old niece, Lily. My sister had 2 outfits prepared and another one was going to be a mermaid outfit, which we were all excited about! When the mermaid outfit arrived - it was too big for the little baby (and mind you, my niece is half samoan! Haha) So my sister and I had to rush and make a quick costume for the photo session. So we made her a little Tahitian girl outfit in hopes that she will follow in her mom's footsteps haha! Jen was great and professional. Her studio was comfortable, adorable, and amazing! When our baby toys did not suffice in those critical "crying" moments she had back-up toys that were perfect in either keeping Lily asleep or to keep her entertained and not crying. She was very patient with us when we were running behind schedule (due to the ti-leaf skirt making emergency) and when Lily was being fussy. Jen is also extremely creative!! Each photo scene was so adorable and so unique and even though she had not met Lily prior to the session, they fit Lily perfectly! Even though we did not have our mermaid outfit for Lily, the Tahitian outfit worked out really well with the setting Jen created for that session. It was absolutely amazing that I think Lily did not want to leave the little made up ocean scenery. Therefore, Jen is not only really creative but very adaptable! I highly highly highly recommend Jen for all your photography needs!

Jen is very patient and always ready to shoot. I've done a few shoots with her over the past year and they have come out excellent. We have both pictures in a studio and outdoors. She is patient and kind with my daughter. She uses props and they make the pictures just that much more adorable.Jen edits the pictures in a very timely manner and I always have a variety of angles, poses and pictures to choose from. My entire family is always SO impressed by the photos :)

I recently took my daughter for her first photo shoot w/ Hanabata Days Studio. Jen has been so helpful and patient with us. The experience was stress free and so enjoyable. I purchased the grow with me package (I think that's the name of the package). Prices are reasonable and the product is fantastic.

We have been seeing Jennifer for a few years now. Whenever we need pictures done, we know we can count on Jen to do an awesome job. We had our engagement pictures, maternity pictures, new baby pictures, family photos, Christmas pictures, and mother's day pictures all done by Jen. Not only is she great with the kids, but she comes up with phenomenal locations and ideas to make your pictures one of a kind. Whenever we finish a session, our kids talk about Aunty Jennifer for days and days. She really has a unique creative talent behind the camera, with the kids, and in the editing room where she finalizes precious lifetime memories for families. There are many photographers out there, but you'd be silly not to call Hanabata Days Photography and Jennifer.

My fam had a great photo session with Jen. The weather wasn't great but Jen worked her magic and we ended up with fantastic family photos. Jen was patient, kind and really efficient.

I had contacted Hanabata Days Photography LLC to do a family portrait and Jen was very professional from the start. She picked a great location for our photo shoot and was great at suggesting poses that complimented our "theme". We even had our dog in the picture which could test anyone's patience but Jen definitely succeeded in getting our pup to look at the camera. Jen is very competent in her photography skills and really knows what she is talking about. After the photo shoot she took a reasonable amount of time to edit and get the pictures back to us and we were so thrilled with the final results. I 100% recommend Hanabata Days Photography if you want pictures that will last a lifetime! :)

I have never written a Yelp review in my LIFE (you would think how much I love food I would have piggy lingered in writing about a whole ton of restaurants to reminisce). But I was really moved to write my first yelp review because of how outstanding and full of aloha this local business is. My boss put me in charge of getting a group shot taken during our huge convention at a hotel in Waikiki. I'm pretty new to my job and I was anxious not to mess this assignment up. There are others who do professional group shots, but I just had a feeling about Jen who was one of the first businesses to respond to my inquiry about such a large shot (see attached for the amazing job). Her quick, engaging, thoughtful and helpful replies reassured me that it would come out great. Come the day of the photo shoot and Jen and Abe showed up very early to set up and they were complete pros!!! It was blazing hot during the time of the shot and she had to use a big ladder and squint a lot in the sun, let alone direct around 200 people, but the photos came out beautiful. I remember weeks before that she asked me what kind of "feel" I wanted for the pics. What a sensitive and thoughtful question to ask...I told her I wanted it vibrant and look how they delivered. I had people preorder and ordered extra but they still sold out because their shots came out so nice. They usually do family and baby kinds of photos, but they really showed they have the professional range to do pretty much anything. And as people they are incredibly professional, helpful, dependable, easygoing and warm to work with. With high stakes moments (like when are these 200 people ever going to be in the same place at the same time again?? or a wedding, etc), you want the peace of mind that you have good people who know what they're doing in charge. After they got their shots, I told them how thankful I was they busted their butts in the sun to patiently get the shots and they were just like that was nothing....totally fine. So impressed and thankful, mahalo nui Jen and Abe!

Today was the second time I've utilized Jenn and Hanabata Days and she was terrific! I couldn't have asked for more. My toddler did great for the first 40 minutes or so, then he became uncooperative and difficult. I also had my school aged child with me who was helpful but nothing was working. Jenn was full of different ideas on how to calm down my toddler and didn't give up. I was impressed with her calm demeanor and patience. She is truly gifted in working with kids and with her pictures. Eventually my toddler came around and we got a few more photos but if it wasn't for her positivity and perserverence, the session would have ended much sooner as i would have given up. Thanks for everything Jenn! You are one of a kind and produce awesome pictures! Highly recommended.
