We hardly go into Waikiki but my family was visiting and staying in a nearby hotel. My cousin had discovered this place and it's worth braving Waikiki. It's located across from the Halekulani hotel. Nice bakery with indoor seating at communal farm table as well as outdoor tables with umbrellas. There are tons of beautiful pastries- hard to choose! There was a lot of people with a line out the door so it was a bit of pressure not to linger over choosing what to get. They offer lots of local flavors like guava, lilikoi. We grabbed a parchment lined tray and pair of tongs and got a small selection to go. The pastries were amazing! Bread was very soft and flavors popped! They also have coffees and lattes to have along with your pastries. If you want cakes, there are slices and full cakes too. Didn't try but we learned that the coconut cake is their signature dessert. Maybe next time. It's a great place to get pastries for breakfast on this end of Waikiki (it's comparable to B Patisserie in the International Marketplace on the other end of Waikiki). Average price runs between $4-$6. BTW, the bakery closes early and they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays . Go early, heard they run out of the popular ones fast.

So I woke up around 6am and looked at what's around to snack and coffee. So I decided to come here because it's over price and only opens from 6am to 11am daily. I knew I had to go because it's quite bougie. .So the verdict definitely worth the hype. I loved it. Here's what I had and my thoughts. .Coconut cake slice - 14 bucks. It was simple but sooo good. It's fluffy and not too sweet. But 14 for a slice is outta your mind. But so worth it. .Quiche - terrible skin on the tart. The inside of the egg was great. But a pass for 9 bucks. No more on this. I got this because mama loves her quiche too. .Ginger pineapple Danish- flaky crust and crispy. It was really good for the ginger and pineapple. Any Danish lover is a must try. .Pog croissant, nice cream filling inside and outside is layer of flaky in it. It was so good and must get vs the plain croissant if I get to choose again..Coffee had the cold brew or ice americano and it was lovely. The coffee was so smooth and I would just go back for coffee and one pastry or just the coconut cake and call it a day. .Overall it was great sitting outside the hotel to enjoy some coffee and pastries. It was a very good experience and I would go back every time I'm in oahu for sure. Service was quick and just get a tray and pick out your own pastry with a tong then pay. Hope this review helps. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

Back again! The guava croissant pastry is still the best thing they have. Truly - a perfect sweet treat! Tried the salted caramel croissant which was a 4/5. It had a *lot* of caramel and chocolate and was great when it was warm. The pistachio raspberry croissant was a great texture but it was nothing in comparison to the guava pastry. Sadly, they didn't have a plain kouign amann today so I tried the mango and I think it was mislabeled. It was filled with coconut chunks and looked/smelled wonderful but wasn't what I was expecting flavor wise. The chocolate chip cookie is average at best. Can't compare to the magic of the Guava Danish! I can't wait to return for more guava in the morning!Note: tried the taffy and sad to report the guava and mango were disappointing. They just fell apart. The honey had a taffy consistency but you can pass on all of these.

Precise. Delicate and layered. Extra flaky texture. Creams, fruits, custards. Requiring a skill level, an expertise. Quality bread products. Signature Halekulani Corporation guest excellence. Unparalleled, exceeding expectations. Quality, personalized delivery. This was my expectation prior to arrival. My brother-in-law, a senior team member at Halekulani for over 25 years, recommended a dining venue that bears his namesake hotel. At a sister-property, directly across the legendary Halekulani. Visit on January 30, 2025At 9:25am - 10:15amHalekulani BakeryLocation: 2233 Helumoa RoadHalepuna Waikīkī by HalekulaniOpening date: December 2022Warm wood tones with different layers of light. Inviting, gentle and soothing. Setting the mood in the most delightful way. Featuring signature Halekulani color palettesI'm distracted and in awe. The display of freshly-baked items made my eyes roam in such a wild fashion. The choices, deciding what to place on my tray, I was extremely indecisive. A large, wooden communal table. Dining space indoors is limited. But this table is beautiful, as if telling a story of a fallen tree. Visual poetry. Outdoor tables, also available. Halekulani Executive Pastry Chef, Nassim Bounoya. Restaurants at Halekulani & Halekulani Bakery at Halepuna Waikīkī by Halekulani.Layered buttered dough. Flaky in texture. Buttery exterior, soft and fluffy. The sound, the amazing sound of the flakiness breaking. Then flavors divine. Symphonic masterpiece. Ham & Cheese Croissant. Savory ham, rich and creamy cheese. Prosciutto Danish. A perfect marriage unfolds, with goat cheese and prosciutto. Creamy, sweet, luscious. Coconut Danish, order without the expectation. That it'll have a hint of the Halekulani Signature Coconut Cake. Because it doesn't. Yet, this super flaky, multi-layered pastry yielded a creamy coconut custard. Caraway Seed Sesame Bread. Brightness and warmth, rich and complex. Handcrafted with a unique flavor profile. Taste and aroma, simply superior. Sadly, this is where anything but high quality ends. The spotlight shines only on the culinary team, the team of skilled bakers. Their Executive Pastry Chef. Guest service. Personality lacked, with warmth only found in the warm wood tones. In the delectable baked items. A loss of smiles, maybe due to the stormy weather ahead. Not by one, but by all. Interaction with three, the first good impression by one was completely missed. Am I too sensitive? Were my expectations too high? A younger team fronting this bakery, I found it interesting that the other two unfortunate experiences elsewhere during this trip matched the age group here as well. Maybe I've turned into a middle-aged gump. I hope not.Extending grace and understanding. Respecting the effort in-front of me. I decided to enjoy a seat inside, and take-part in the dynamic ambiance of morning guests moving through. Two beautiful Danish pastries, a handcrafted artisan bread and a flaky + savory breakfast croissant. I remained content till departure. With a cup of Halekulani Blend decaffeinated coffee. Sometimes, there are off-moments where not everything aligns right. Perfection is what we as consumers/guests expect from the best. Like myself. That's my error, our error. No one and nothing is perfect. Not always. There are usually more "high" points in the delivery, in the overall experience compared to others. Consistency at its best. Due to the company's mission, values. Hiring and training. Brand development and execution. I sometimes mistake that for perfection. I think we all do. Yet, the Halekulani Corporation shines with a fine understanding in these areas. I have to agree, even with this mishap of an experience. On guest service, on guest excellence. I leave Halekulani Bakery to you, your choice to venture-in. To visit, dine, to enjoy. And hoping the delivery of guest service is more than what was delivered to me. To my guest. During our entire 50 minute dining experience. Enjoy the sweets, the pastries, the Halekulani brand items to take home. Like I did. And maybe, you'll be back on a future trip with the desire to enjoy a slice of their Halekulani Signature Coconut Cake. Like I am. Halekulani Bakery at Halepuna Waikīkī by Halekulani. A return visit, possibly.

So many selections for an indecisive individual like me! The caramel latte was a good coffee, I recommend you trying that. Service was quick and easy. Immediately walking in you're greeted with these many different flavors of pastries to choose from provided with a tray and a tong. Sort of like a pastry buffet! Halekulani Bakery is located right across from the Halekulani Hotel, it is very hard to miss. If driving, there is a parking structure at the end of the street.

Overall 5 stars: Nothing but the best pastries and coffee in Waikiki. A must for breakfast when staying in Waikiki.Food 5 stars: Everything we tried here was amazing. On this trip to Waikiki we ordered the custard pan which had a chewy but airy bread with the most delicious custard which was not too sweet. The raspberry pistachio croissant which was light a buttery with a pistachio and dried raspberry spread. I couldn't really taste pistachio but it was still very good. The last pastry we got was the Maritozzi which was a sweet bread filled with the lightest fluffiest vanilla bean creme. This was definitely a treat in the morning. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie for later and a Pumpkin Latte for the wife which had a heart latte art.Service 4 stars: Most of the pastries are self serve. You need to grab a tray and tongs before going down the line of mouthwatering pastries. Once you picked out all your pastries, you can go to the cashier where you order drinks and pay. The process was fairly quick.Ambiance 5 stars: this bakery is very clean inside and there is a big window into the kitchen area where everything is made. This place gives off a sense of luxury but in a casual environment. We always come to this bakery when having a staycation in Waikiki. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are staying close by. There is no parking right in front of the bakery, but there is street parking 2 blocks away.

Small bakery located across from the Halekulani hotel. Popular on a Sunday morning. Tables inside and outside. Parking at the hotel next to it which is premium cost ($4 for 20 minutes). Or parking at Royal Hawaiian or International Marketplace and walk over. Service was friendly. You pick up a tray, and pick up the pasties you desire. The pastries aren't cheap, but they are worth the try. Famous for their signature coconut cake! It is a decadent, moist, rich cake with coconut layers. $14/per slice, but the quality is there. You can also find this cake in their hotel restaurant/lounges like Lewers Lounge. We tried multiple pastries, including the chocolate croissant, ham/cheese croissant, pistachio pastry, kona coffee pastry etc. All were excellent, buttery, and high quality. Would come back!

One of the first things that comes to mind when discussing the Halekulani is their signature Coconut Cake! It has been a signature dessert found in all of Halekulani restaurants- La Mer, Orchids, House Without a Key(one of my favorite spots/bars on island to watch the sunset), and Halekulani Bakery! The sponge cake is airy with amaretto cream and a coconut flake dusting that makes this cake famous! A little pricey, but worth it for a special occasion! A special thanks to my Mom for gifting me this cake! Yes, she also enjoyed a piece!

Amazing cafe although a bit pricey but after tasting you can see why! The pastries are perfect and picking only a couple is a difficult decision. The inside is clean and the staff are very friendly. The perfect time to go is right after sunrise as it is less busy and their selection is very fresh.

The service here is excellent. I was always greeted warmly and always offered a large for the price of a small coffee. Hours are limited so check before going. The outdoor area has tables and cute birds hanging around. The key lime tart was my favorite!
