Pretty sure this is the original and the Kaneohe location was added later. Great indoor/outdoor seating with open view of Haleiwa bridge, bay and harbor. It was kind of slow for lunch during our visit so service was very attentive. Blue Marlin was the catch if the day, we had fish sandwich, tacos and kids chicken strips. They are super flexible with sides, I'd recommend the Mac salad for sure, it was sooo good. Large portions for the fish and plenty of food for the kiddos. There's a nice lawn area in front of the patio, not sure what they use it for but our kids took advantage to run around and get their wiggles out!

I was very surprised by Haleiwa Joe's! Ended up having a delicious dinner here with truly awesome service!I had a party of 13 and the wait was almost an hour on a Saturday night. We decided to check out the bar while we waited. The drinks were good, but definitely on the sweet side! I wasn't expecting much from dinner, but this restaurant proved me wrong very quickly. FIRST OFF -- THE BREAD! Omg! I loved the bread. It came out hot and fresh. The bread was beautifully crusty on the outside, fluffy and soft on the inside, and had a bit of a tang/sourness (was it sourdough?) And with a bit of the salted butter... UGH, pure heaven in my mouth! I loved it so much that I ended up having another roll at the end of the meal AFTER dessert hahaNow the menu is large so I think if you stick to what is known to be delicious, you'll be in good hands. Some of my other friends did not enjoy their meal as much as I did, but they ordered different things. I ended up trying: Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Kalbi, and the House Salad with Sesame Miso dressing. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! The house salad was soo good, all thanks to that delicious sesame miso dressing. A star of a dressing! The crispy brussel sprouts had great texture and was balanced well with salt, acid, and sweetness. The sundried tomato aioli on the side was unbelievably addicting! We ended up dipping other things in there too. The kalbi was pretty good! Fatty kalbi with good flavor, but I just wish there was a bit more char on the meat. Other than that, I really loved the pickled vegetables and kim chee namasu. For dessert, I had a bite of the Chocolate Mousse Pie which was a chocolate lovers DREAM. So rich and thick. And then of course as I mentioned above, although I was stuffed, I ended my meal with another delicious bread roll with butter. NO REGRETSMost importantly, the service was STELLAR! Our server Eric was not only super attentive, but didn't miss any special requests from anyone in our party of 13! He was on top of it! And everything was so speedy. This was a nice surprise as most of the service we received on the trip was more leisurely, laid back, and generally slower. So we really enjoyed being pleasantly surprised at how quickly everything moved here.Had a great time at Haleiwa Joe's! Would come back again!

Drove out to Hale'iwa Joe's in Hale'iwa to celebrate our Anniversary. We tried the Haleiwa Joes at Haiku Gardens and enjoyed it.The vibe is a little different, with ocean view, with other location in Kaneohe looking over gardens. The choices on menu are similar. Our server was very personable and all the food came out hot and without much wait.Order the Salmon, it was good however a little spicer than I expected.Husband ordered the ribs, there was plenty of meat and he was satisfied. He received a salad which I shared with him. They also provided 3 rolls with dinner. All and all it was pleasant experience.

This is an iconic restaurant and is always busy. The view is gorgeous as you look out across the north shore. The menu is simple and full of local, fresh catch options. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable. We had a birthday party here and they let us put our cake in the fridge and brought it out for us when we were ready. The kitchen made some mistakes but overall the food was delicious.

Was so excited to get a chance to eat at Haleiwa Joe's while visiting Oahu on our recent trip to celebrate my birthday and our life. It was on our top 10 restaurants to try. We were able to get a table outside within 20 minutes of arriving. The staff was great. They have a good selection in the menu so we ordered a bunch of apps to go with our entrees. The crispy brussel sprouts and luau crab dip were amazing. I could have stopped there for a great meal. The grilled fish was good, but not the best to me, it was a little dry. Wanted it to be moist and flaky. My ordered the sticky ribs, he said it was good, but also was a little on the dry side. The lilikoi creme brulee was really great. A great way to finish to our meal before making the drive back to Honolulu. They stayed packed during our entire meal. Service was great. Definitely a place to check out. Though everything we tried wasn't the best, there's so many things on the menu I want to try. Looking forward to our next visit!

We had a family dinner here and came on a week night. We arrived late, but our party of eight was seated even though not everyone was there yet, which I appreciated. Our server was very kind and patient, making the night enjoyable.Parking was a bit tight, but there's additional parking across the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and spacious!I ordered the grilled salmon, which was delicious and filling, served with mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, they had run out of prime rib, which disappointed a few in our group. My husband had the tenderloin; he requested it medium, but it was quite tough and chewy, which was a letdown.I also enjoyed a virgin piña colada that was sweet and refreshing. For dessert, I had the baby cakes--chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream. The combination of sweet and tart was great, although the cake was a bit dry. The melted chocolate in the center was a nice touch.Overall, I had a very good experience. The service was excellent, and while some dishes were great, others were just okay. It's worth a visit!

This is an excellent place to have a casual dinner with friends & family. I really like the location of this place with it's corner sight by the dock with boats, tiki torches, and a beautiful lit sky.The menu size is pretty decent with a nice amount of food choices. I came here with my family and had dinner last Saturday. I really enjoyed the prime rib which was huge and super thick. If you're looking for a nice meaty dinner, you have to try this. I am a huge fan of their garlic bread appetizer; it's crispy with a nice buttery top and served in this griddle platter. I also love their crab-cream cheese dip which is excellent with their pita bread. If you're looking for a nice sit-down restaurant with good vibes, this is an excellent spot. Be aware that parking sucks because it's a small lot but there is an open lot right across where you can park. It's also located in this historic town with lots of locals.I like this restaurant and would definitely come back!

I really enjoyed everything I had! I wish I had more Curry with my dish because it was delicious. The baby cake was very good in the middle, I could've done with the raspberry syrup. The staff are very accommodating of our toddler. They provided our daughter with coloring supplies, offered a cup of water with a lid on it, and provided a booster seat for us. They also have a kids menu and will let you substitute fries if your child isn't in the mood for rice. Overall, we had a great experience here.

3/1/25 - Arrived at the Haleiwa location when it opened for lunch so no wait. We were greeted warmly and wished an enjoyable rest of the day when we left. Service was good, and a portable fan was brought to the table to keep the flies away, which worked to some degree.Ordered two prime ribs to share between 4 people. Requested medium rare but since roasted on a rack, unable to accommodate and came out medium to medium well. Some of the meat was rather dry and poured the au jus all over it. The horseradish did not have a strong flavor and did not go well with the entree. I've had better prime rib/horseradish elsewhere and was rather disappointed since it did not meet my expectations. Two orders of crunchy coconut shrimp were ono but the second order was definitely deep fried longer so the color was noticeably darker. I didn't taste the coconut but a member of our party tasted a hint of it.The best part of the meal was the Lilikoi crème brulee. It was so yummy!I probably won't be back unless I have visiting family/friends wanting to dine here.
