Haleiwa Beach House

We got there early enough to get one of the tables along the side of the restaurant that faces the ocean (and the sunset).Rib eye (Paniolo Ribeye) is my favorite cut of steak so I ordered it. It did not disappoint. 5 stars. One daughter ordered the Thai Fried Chicken. She liked some parts of it and the sauce but complained about the quality of the chicken. She rated it 3 stars. The other daughter ordered the Lobster Cobb. She gave it 5 stars and said it was really "yummy". This was one of the best meals I've had in Hawaii in a long time. I will be back.

We came here after spending the day in Haleiwa. We liked the view and the restaurant was relatively busy. We had a wonderful view of the ocean and the sunset for dinner. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and nice. The hostess was accommodating to let us have a nice table! To start, the sweet corn was delicious. The seasoning was perfect. It was sweet and the serving was good. I love that they have the skewers so those who do not bite the cob could easily cut it off. It was delicious. For dinner, I had the shrimp and lobster red Thai curry. It was PHENOMENAL. There was a slight spice and there was ample meat. The shrimp and lobster were cooked well and paired really well with the curry. The rice portion was great and I loved the carrots, beans, and other veggies and potatoes in the curry. It was truly delightful. My husband had the grilled mahi mahi, it was delicious as well. The fish was tender and well cooked. I also really enjoyed the veggies. The drinks were really good, particularly the lemonade. It was not a typical lemonade but it was so sweet and yummy. My husband also had the fried ice cream. The batter was fruity pebbles and it was delicious. It paired nicely with the large cone. A great place to eat!

For appetizers we had the tuna crudo. It came layered with guacamole and beautiful rounds of taro chips. The sauce was a little too salty for me but when mixed well with the avocado was perfect. The tuna just melted in the mouth. It was so delicious!I had the grilled marlin with side of rice And started green beans in a brown butter sauce. Was very good. My husband had the lobster and shrimp curry that was over the top yum. The fried calamari was appetizer was huge in portion. It was perfectly fried, crispy and light.The beef shortened served with mushroom and cappelini onions in a rich gravy and mashed potatoes was melt in your mouth Good. Our server was great and attentive. only thing we had several large groups ahead of us that delayed us getting our food. But that was not the restaurants fault.Great view of the ocean and partial sunset.I would go back again.

Parking in front of the restaurant is great. We were lucky and got the ocean front seating. The menu itself has a variety of options. We enjoyed the edamame, spicy ahi taco, clam chowder. For main dish we had Kalua pig sandwich, spicy ahi club, and fish clans chips. They were all delicious.

So we didn't know that they stop serving lunch at 3pm and start serving dinner at 5pm but now we know so this is just a mild review because we were only able to have appetizer, soup and salad and drinks but the service was great the drinks were good and the calamari was good as well. Definitely got to go back for lunch or dinner to get the full experience. So what for the next review.

We sat downstairs and had a beautiful view of the coast. The staff here is very friendly and helpful explaining the menu and giving good answers about food items and drinks. Not only for our table but I could hear them taking care of others as well. Place as a nice upscale charm to it and there was a steady flow of regulars and first-timers like us which is a good sign. People are coming to this place on purpose...LOL....The entree $ theme here is $26. Pretty much any main course is right at that price range. I decided on the poke bowl, my wife picked the shrimp po' boy sandwich, and my two girls decided to share the garlic shrimp dish since they both were eating trail mix on the drive out here. This side of the island is in stark contrast to Honolulu or the developed side of Oahu and was quite peaceful and chill. The tuna was of course fantastic on the poke bowl. I like a little wasabi or English mustard but they don't really carry that. To be clear, the poke bowl stood well enough on its own so compliments there. They did offer to provide a spicy aioli which more than satisfied me and also made a good dip for the fries that came with my wife's po boy. Her po' boy had what amounts to a Hawaiian slaw on bread that I thought rivaled Gambino's from Louisiana. The shrimp were great and as mentioned before it came with fries. My kids had the shrimp was is presented in garlic sauce that is well-flavored, walking the line between not enough and too much perfectly. Rice mound comes out with furikake for flavor (which happens to be a favorite for my kids to add at home) and a salad with a ginger dressing that they said they both enjoyed. I would have liked to have seen the tails plucked and the shrimp de-veined but the flavors were dead on all over the plate. My wife got a Mai Tai drink and I stuck with water since it was near an hour drive back to Kapolei area to meet family. While you are there, make the quick drive down the road to Long's Drugs, park , and enjoy the outdoor shopping. Also a good time to try the world famous shave ice.....Tab came out to $100 on the dot and we left $120 cash and a heart-felt thank you. Make the trip out here and you won't regret it.

This is a cute spot by the North Shore with a nice ambience and right in front of the beach. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the loco moco, the fish and chips, the corn, the shrimp appetizer, the poke nachos, and the clam chowder. Overall none of the food was bad, but nothing was incredibly amazing either. I would come here for the nice ambience as there aren't many great food spots in the North Shore I would say compared to near Waikiki. Some of my favorite food items included the corn and the loco Moco. The clam chowder was good, but the portion size was really tiny. Overall, a decent place to eat in the North Shore to try out one time.

As you read the reviews, you'll notice that they have very strict guidelines as to their seating procedures. Number one, they will not see you unless your entire party is there. They won't even consider you. Number two, while you were waiting, they will not let you go to the bar and get a cocktail. That was super weird. You cannot get a cup of hot tea, you cannot get a glass of water, nothing. Very strange. As for the food, the fish bites were very good! Not as good as Nico's in Kailua, but pretty gosh darn good. The rest of the food was good as well. Nothing special but it is a beautiful environment.

This was probably one of my favorite meals while visiting Oahu! I ordered the Thai bbq crispy chicken sandwich. It came with the taro bun, papaya slaw, and tamarind bbq sauce. It was cooked to perfection and so delicious. I upgraded my fries to the beach house fries (tossed in garlic and furikaki), also delicious! My bf got the kalua pork grilled cheese (pretty small because it was an appetizer), but was also very good. There is a parking lot but it was full and we luckily found street parking right outside. The views from our seat were beautiful. I definitely recommend and hope to come back again!!

Enjoyed our dinner here while watching the sun set on our last day in Hawaii. We all got different dishes, and everyone enjoyed their meals! I had the short ribs. It was perfectly tender and very tasty. My husband has the Thai fried chicken - very flavorful! The service was great. Our server was very attentive and efficient. Nice family dining in Haleiwa!!
