The beach parks were great. Not a lot of traffic this time of year. What was a good temp considering time of year. Bathrooms are beach bathrooms. I find if you want to enjoy the beach and you don't want to hangout at down in Waikiki or the North Shore, the beach parks are pretty decent. As anywhere, be aware of your surroundings but you can expect to have a decent time.

Welcome to Haleiwa Alii Beach park located in Haleiwa town next to the Boat harbor. Came here during the weekend on a Sunday (August 4, 2024) and it was not to busy but still had a crowd of beach goers from locals to tourist folks, also I noticed lots of local families with the kids at the beach which was understandable cause it was the last weekend of summer 2024 for the local kids before most of them goes back to school. Parking - The parking lot we parked at was next to the boat harbor parking lot area and closes to the beach restrooms, parking shouldn't be a problem here compared to the other parking lot that's further down the beach of alii beach park. Would I suggest other people to come to this beach?that would be an YES YES YES of course also this beach spot is a good spot to catch the SUNSET so if you looking for a GOOD spot to catch the Sunset that definitely check out ALII BEACH PARK in HALEIWA. One thing I would like to see tho is that at this particular restroom that city and county would keep this restrooms more cleaner and also make the toilet stall more clean. Posted on 8/5/24

I can't imagine giving this beach park anything less than 5 stars. There's enough parking here that there's never really a wait to park. Since it's definitely not a surf park you don't have to compete with all the all day surfers. There's a large restroom area with outdoor sprays. The bathrooms could be cleaner but it's the North shore of Hawaii. There are some shaded areas in the back close to the shore. There's tons of turtles that you can visibly see. Such a perfect place to enjoy the day and calm ocean. Closest enough to Haleiwa town that you can pick up snacks or eat a meal.

The long stretch of sand along the water of Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach gives you the perfect opportunity to take in your surroundings as you find a location to set up for the day. We were part of an island tour that stopped for an afternoon snorkel. By the afternoon the tide was a bit strong but we were able to see plenty of fish and a couple sea turtles. Before the tour group left, we took a break from snorkeling to stroll the back side of the beach. There were a couple people set up for camping and fishing. They seemed like they were in their own little world away from the groups of tourists on the other side. I could imagine a peaceful evening camping out under the stars with the sound of the ocean as your background. Beautiful way to wrap up an afternoon of adventuring. I could have spent the entire day/night there.

Wanting to spend the day on the beach where we could swim and have a BBQ cookout! The parking lot is close to where we wanted to setup tent. The kids and family from the mainland immediately hit the beach! The weather was awesome! the smell of Kalbi filled the air! We setup our umbrella and beach chairs and towels and enjoyed every minute till sunset! What a way to enjoy life is good! Enjoying our swim..we noticed couple of turtles swimming around us it was so cool to be close to them.. that was unexpected!! took pictures with them!

Alii's is the best family beach park on the NS!Must start your day early to score decent parking. Or go late when most everyone is packing up.Tons of grassy areas to set up and BBQ. There are some picnic tables, but we always bring our own so we can set up anywhere. The beach itself isn't too far from the park. Clear waters, lots of sandy areas for the littles to play in. Pure beauty. It's also walking distance from the shave ice stands. So sneak away while you can so family can watch your stuff, and go grab some without them hehe!! Walk back to the beach park and pretend nothing happened.

I haven't come to this beach in years but I decided to return to this spot because it was a good mix of what the kids wanted to do: hunt for sea shells, swim, and fish. It is a bit of a drive from the Windward side, about an hour, but perfect plan to spend half the day there and if the kids didn't catch anything we could stop by the Ali'i Agricultural Farms in Wahiawa on the way back. There is ample parking which is right next to the Haleiwa boat harbor. Easy access to restrooms, showers and a lifeguard station. There are signs up about dangerous rip currents and sharp coral. But if you walk over to the right side next to the breaker, there is a beautiful cove to swim in with very Little rocks and reef. Surprisingly, we also got to see many turtles swimming in the reef areas close to shore. My daughter also enjoyed finding lots of sea shells on the beach and in the water. The views of the island shores are amazing!Next time we visit, we will definitely return to this spot :)

I would definitely visit this beach since it is one of the quietest beaches at the north side! + This beach offer plenty of parking with lifeguards, outdoor showers, restrooms, and one of the best place for picnics as well. - Only thing is to be careful when it's more rainier and waves can be dangerously strong.

Beautiful beach to enjoy the surf, sand and sun on the North Shore. Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch and enjoy a nice day at the beach. Watch the surfers. If you are lucky, you might see turtles or a beautiful sunset.Lots of parking available. No charge for entry. Clean bathrooms are available. Mahalo!

Twice now, over three years, I've made time for Haleiwa Alii Beach Park and twice now, the time spent here has left me with regrets. It's impossible, apparently, for me to spend an afternoon on this beach observing the number of families with young children streaming here after school and regret having not moved here with my children when they were young. The scene is so alluring, with even the youngest of children water-safe and able to surf that it feels almost impossibly beautiful. Families here know each other, children meet up with their friends here, and everyone seems all about the surf, the water, the sand, the vibe. I love Haleiwa Alii Beach Park and I've never even stepped foot in the water. HABP, on both visits, has had water that doesn't invite swimming but it does invite surfing and watching the surfing here has proven to be my favorite place to do so. I've watched surfers at other North Shore points, Sunset Beach among them, and though always enjoyable, in most spots in this area the surfers are fairly far from shore. Here, they appear much closer in with an added bonus. The better surfers are out a bit further and those less experienced are in closer but all are perfectly in view from a spot on the sand. Haleiwa Beach Park is a bit off the beaten North Shore path, with a very big free parking lot, restrooms, showers, and lifeguards. I ostensibly come here to sit on the sand with my head in a book but I never get anywhere. I'm too busy looking at the happy families, the adorable children, and the surfers of every age.
