Bi cuon. 2 pieces. Fresh rolled, non fried. Shredded roast pork, seasoned with garlic, toasted rice, rolled in rice paper with romaine lettuce, fresh mint and sweet basil.
Bi cuon chay. 2 pieces. Fresh rolled, non fried. Devout Vietnamese Buddhists created this vegetarian version of the "garden delight" rolls. A meatless filling of tofu, chop suey yam, potatoes, fresh basil, mint and romaine lettuce will please the most discriminating palate.
Cha gio. 6 pieces. Deep fried. Imitation crab meat, ground pork, long rice, carrots, and onions arc spiced. Tapped in rice paper, and deep-tried until golden brown and crispy. Fresh mint, basil, romainc lettuce, sliced cucumber, and rice noodles accompany each other of Imperial rolls. Our hosts will gladly demonstrate the Vietnamese way of enjoying these savory tidbits.

Canh ga don thit. 5 pieces. Large wings, deboned, stuffed with a savory filling of ground pork, carrots and long rice. Lightly breaded and deep fried until golden brown.
Goi bo tai chanh. Tender beef slices, char-broiled to med-rare, heart of romaine lettuce, sliced cucumber, onion and wedged tomatoes. Garnish with toasted peanuts, onion flakes and Chinese parsley.
Goi ga. Steamed boneless chicken, shredded white cabbage, sliced onion, fresh mint, toasted peanuts and onion flakes, make this simple salad a must for health-conscious gourmets.

Ordered pho to go over the phone. The person taking out order was helpful and efficient. Parking was a little hard to find on the street but we got lucky. The pho was great! Really good flavor and served with the mint, sprouts, lemon and sauces. My husband got the combo pho and my son got the chicken pho. Everyone loved theirs and was not disappointed with flavor. They gave a lot and prices were reasonable for what they served. We will definitely come back!

Placing an order over the phone is easy, and the food is usually ready in about 15 minutes, which is super convenient. Nestled in the restaurant strip of Kaimuki, next to Via Gelato, Hale Vietnam is a reliable eatery that delivers consistently. Spacious enough where there's never a wait. Ample parking in the lot adjacent to the restaurant.Imperial rolls are a must get every visit. The most delicious spring rolls wrapped in rice paper and deep fried. I'm usually the person that goes to pho restaurants with others and gets something other than pho. All the things I have tried here, I've enjoyed. That says a lot since I'm from Vietnam and my mom makes a whole lot of Vietnamese food. Good depth and flavors in all of their broths. Always friendly and speedy service.

Revisited this place with some vegetarian friends, and sure glad we did!Last time I ate there was over 5 yrs ago and decided to go there since we had some out of town friends. Ordered all vegetarian dishes; sauteed tofu with eggplant, green papaya salad, vegetarian curry, vegetarian imperial rolls...and rice. The first 3 were really good! However the imperial rolls were so-so ... (I think the non vegetarian ones are better.)But all in all, a nice light vegetarian dinner, and food with the nice consistent taste as I remember last time. Oops, in this case, my camera didn't get a chance to eat ;) ...oh well... but it was nice! :D

This long-time restaurant in Kaimuki has been here for ages. The restaurant is nice and clean and the wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty especially the broth which probably was simmering for hours. The wait was a little longer than anticipated, however, it meant that everything was prepared fresh. Prices are a little higher than we would like to pay, however, you are paying for a nice restaurant with good food, so it's good to treat yourself once in awhile! Lots of affordable parking in the near-by parking lot and convenient since it's right next door to our favorite gelato spot for dessert!

Parking wise if you are lucky right in front of the restaurant or the large parking lot across the street. Service is quick and speedy most nights. Food the portion is good and tastes good especially on windy days. Plenty of meat to go with the noodles.

They have one of the better spring rolls and they are generous with the lettuce, basil, mint, cucumber & noodles. My daughter and wife enjoyed their pho. While their menu contains popular local items, it does not have many of more authentic dishes that I enjoy. I used to enjoy their barbecue pork when it was thinly sliced.
