The dog had absolutely no flavor and the garlic fries didn't have hardly any garlic- very bland.Ordered a dog & garlic fries.

The place is located in the marketplace at the PCC. The hotdogs are worth the price. I got the ronin dog and it was full of flavor and i didn't even need to get a meal because they packed it with fries. The pesto dog is amazing. It's an outdoor seating so with the ambiance surrounding it, it's chill. Lots of pigeons so they love feasting on the bread. My only downfall is i wish the bread was soft and warm. The bread just comes straight from the package. Flavor wise it's amazing.

We stopped here before beginning our tour of the Polynesian Center. I really wanted to try the Kimchi dog but decided on the Chicago dog. It was so delicious. Everything was really fresh.

Solid little hot dog shop. I ordered the chili dog minus the swiss cheese. Not sure if swiss is a local thing that isn't really local (like spam) but I didn't envision a chili cheese dog going well with Swiss. If someone wants to be braver than I, go for it. In my personal option the only thing the dog was missing was some finely diced onions... Like a heaping mound. I grew up near a hot dog shop that is famous for their chili dogs and this place was every bit as good. I loved the grilled dog, get that hotdog bath out of here! The chili cheese fries were also on point... The fries were crispy (at least the ones not smothered in chili sauce and melty cheese). I think the order total was under $15 which was a bit much for a hot dog but it was quality and made to order at a tourist location... I've seen worse.

After we arrived back to our VRBO on the north shore and we were ready for snacky type dinner, we drove north to Laie to the Marketplace at the Polynesian Cultural Center. I went to Hale Pop for a hot dog. There were many different options to choose from. I guess I wasn't too good at a choosing anything different. I had a hot dog with cheese, onions and ketsup. It was good and service was great.

Let's start with the Cali dog an awesome idea for a hot dog a grilled dog with with bacon, avocado, cucumber, french fries, spicy mayo, green onions, and furikake! Absolutely delicious! Wow. That's what my wife had. The choices were super vast and I had a hard time choosing. I ended up with the one after their namesake The Hale pop dog. It consists of bacon, sautéed onions, mushrooms, mayo and mustard. Being a chicago native I was tempted to test their Chicago dog but I thought "when in Hawaii..." and went a totally different route. You have a choice of fries or chips. I guess some weirdos actually pick chips but I had to get the fries. They not too bad. They went well with the dog but I wouldn't order them separately. The guy who took our order was cool and laid back. He gave us total bisland vibes which is always a dope thing. Speaking of dope it's basically outdoor seating but it's so many nice places to sit you can get almost overwhelmed with choices. This place is not on the big island or Honolulu proper. It was part of the Polynesian cultural center tour (fun tour by the way) in the marketplace place. So if you're ever there and want an awesome hot dog I'd definitely recommend.
