Halau Hula Olana

There are no words for how much I love Aunty Olana, Shel, and the entire Ai Obama. These are the most incredible and generous people you could ever meet. I wish I could be young again JUST so I could be one of Kumu Hula Olana Ai's dancers. She has inspired thousands of incredible dancers. This is exactly the halau you want to put your child in!

I grew up dancing in Hālau Hula Olana. Kumu Olana always instilled in us a love for the hula, respect for the culture and the meaning behind the words, and to always exude the aloha spirit in every part of our lives. I have fond memories of practices in the old warehouse area in Pearl City and performing for our loved ones throughout the year. Kumu Olana and her ohana are the real deal. The Hula is in their blood and soul which is evident when you see them dance and speak of it. I hope to someday send my daughter who is only a baby now to dance for the halau.
