Caprese Sandwich-10/10 Coco Matcha Mango drink-10/10The workers are so friendly and welcoming. The drinking are good and refreshing. It's a nice view to look at as well while you are waiting for your food and drink. It's nice to come and sit here for a while when you are around the area.

LOVE the light and airy ambience of Hala Tree Cafe with itʻs breath taking view of the ocean. Located next to the newly renovated Crouching Lion Restaurant in Kaaawa, Hala Tree Cafe has become our fave coffee and sandwich places on the East side of Oʻahu. Our faves: Matcha Latte and Honey Lavendar Latte (both hot) along with a their large Smoked Salmon open-faced sandwich which my and I enjoy sharing! We continue to share/recommend this special place to our family and friends. All all have enjoyed it!

Very picturesque cafe with a signature ube latte! Beautiful indoor and outdoor seating. Next time, we will have to try some of the baked goods as they looked delicious! Good service and friendly servers. Great parking.

Hala Tree Cafe is a cute spot located on the second floor with plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The cafe itself is clean, spacious, and really aesthetic--perfect for hanging out or getting some work done. The bathrooms are also nice and clean, which is always a good sign. The prices seem okay, though I'm not entirely sure how they compare. For example, a matcha latte is $6, but honestly, mine tasted more like milk than matcha, so I was a little disappointed. On the plus side, they have different milk options, which is nice if you're picky about that. The staff was fine--nothing special, but they weren't unfriendly either. They also have some pastries, which I didn't try this time since I was just there for coffee, but they do look tempting. The pastries seemed a bit pricey for their size, but I guess if they're good, it might be worth it.Overall, it's a chill place, and I'd definitely consider coming back to try the pastries or a different drink.

4.5/5 I stopped here because I needed a quiet place to take a meeting. Hala tree had good wifi and was spacious, which was difficult for me to find in my coffee shop search. Great ambience, view of the water! I ordered an ice ube latte. It was yummy, feint taste of ube, which is fine because I don't want my coffee too strong in other flavors. A hint was good for me. The half star was just because of how expensive it was. I paid $8 for an ice latte, seems a bit steep. I guess you're paying for the view, which is great! Other than that, this was a great experience.

We stayed on the North Shore of Oahu, which had limited restaurants in our area. However thankfully Hala Tree Cafe was closeby. We had breakfast here before a hike and the choices were very healthy and homemade. The biscuits are definitely worth trying as well as the salmon toast. Not to mention the views of the ocean are panoramic.

Every once in a while I find myself searching for something. I don't always know what it is exactly, but I know when I find it. I found it. My friend and I have been trying to find 'our spot' since we moved here this last year. Mostly searching for a coffee shop vibe. We've found good location but bad coffee. Good coffee but bad location. Then we found Hala Tree Cafe. Amazing location. Out of the way. With killer views. And amazing coffee. We came in on a day that it was pouring. And it was lovely. On the second floor, with indoor and outdoor seating we had a few choice on where to sit. We chose outside. By the time we left, I think there was only one table left in the whole place to sit. The service was amazing. They loved their jobs and you could tell. They were friendly and quick to chat and give recommendations. I got the PBB and added bacon. Made the mistake of getting a full and will get a half going forward because the portions were massive. They held the cinnamon for me when I asked to add bacon and I'm glad they mentioned it. I joked about my love of things Elvis style. My Hawaiian mocha was so good. More on the coffee side than chocolate, and I loved that. Prices were fair for it being Hawaii for the most part. A $9 mocha still makes this Seattle girl cry on the inside a little bit. We will absolutely be back!

Great place to grab breakfast/brunch with a view if you're over in Kaaawa! I went with my friend and we both found items that we enjoyed. I got the Smoked Salmon and Ube Latte and she got the Green goddess and Matcha Latte. As she is vegan, it was nice that they wrote Vegan next to those that are vegan. You order the food at the counter and they call you when everything is ready. With regard to parking, there is plenty in a private lot.

What an unexpected treat was our discovery of HALA TREE CAFE when we were doing our island driving tour. We were desperately in need of an espresso, we found this serious coffee roaster with some delicious baking.Located adjacent to the Crouching Lion on Kamehameha Hwy - Kaaawa, you will be glad you stopped by. Not the typical roadside cafe or coffee shop seen in this area, they have gone above and beyond to create a clean, upscale establishment that appeals to tourists and locals alike.Everything is spotless, tables, bathrooms, counters - everything. Treats were tasty, our buttermilk scones came with butter and delicious homemade berry jam. Americano was flavourful and the coconut macaroon was to die for. Great veranda seating, plus a good number inside. You can sit and enjoy the waves as they lap up against the shore across the street.Adjacent restaurant seems refined and well run, good for folks looking for more than coffee and a quick bite.
