Overall the skydiving activity was great! Guides are superb. Really recommend this if you're coming to Hawaii. The video on the other hand is really expensive and is only about 4 minuets long and won't contain most of the jump only the first 30 seconds and the landing part. (210$ is too much for this)The push from the front desk staff to tip after we paid over 700$ for the service was annoying also, they should pay the staff enough money for what they do so we won't need to tip them.

In search of adventure, I decided to skydive while on vacation on Oahu. I'm very happy that I did, and this is an amazing and responsible place to enjoy it to the fullest. You just can't top the views (equal only to paragliding in Switzerland, which I've done twice (Parajoy)). I highly recommend H Tours for adventure in Hawaii! Thanks for the amazing experience!!

Book the Manta Night Snorkel!--the experience was one of the highlights of my vacation on the Big Island. Watching those bizarre, giant creatures loop-de-loop inches from your face, makes you feel like Agent Mulder at Area 51...just without all of the government cover-ups.Everything was provided on the boat (wet suit, snorkel, fins, etc.) so just show up and have a blast. There were even little amenities like some snacks and hot chocolate--nice to have after being in the water for an hour.Booking the snorkel session was super easy and fast--Angel and H Tours Hawaii were able to get us a tour on the same day! (Not that you should wait until the last minute to make a reservation).

I went to Oahu back in June for my Quarter Life Bday. Took a solo trip during some time off work and midway through my trip I decided I wanted to go skydiving again. (I'd only been once before and back in California.)I can't remember how I came across Angel/Hostel Tours but I'm glad I did! Looking at all the different things they had to offer, I wanted to go skydiving, kayaking, and take a cruise. Unfortunately, the cruise had sold out for the rest of the days I was there but was still able to book both my skydiving and kayaking adventure.Angel was really easy to do business with. He was kind about asking all of my questions and getting me booked for everything that I wanted to do. He was helpful with his suggestions and I couldn't be happier booking through anyone else.So I went skydiving, first thing in the morning of my actual birthday. It was unbelievable. The staff was friendly though they operated a bit differently than my first skydiving experience. Had I not done it before, I would've been a little confused, wondering if they were going to tell me what to do. (The one in CA had a really old safety video/briefing video you had to watch) I'm pretty sure we watched the video in Hawaii but it didn't tell you what you physically needed to do during the jump. Right before we got up to jump out, he told me what he wanted me to do lol. Omg... the view was incredibly gorgeous. I'd never seen anything like it! It literally took my breath away. Once we pulled the chute it was so quiet, peaceful and serene. You literally just feel like a bird - flitting around in paradise. As I was still up in the air, all I could think about was just how much I wanted to do it all over again...Kayaking was an experience! I took teh self guided tour, kayaked to the second Island and had a bit of trouble getting my kayak back in the ocean when I was ready to head out. The current was rough and kept knocking my kayak over - so a bunch of strangers and fellow kayakers took the time to help me during my struggle. I felt super embarrassed but they were all really nice about it.I felt like such a savage doing this by myself. It was definitely an adventure! The next time I'm in Hawaii - I'll be calling Angel to book some more adventures with Hostel Tours - no doubt about it.I can't wait to go skydiving again!!!*Thanks again Angel*

I booked two tours with Hostel Tours Hawaii through the youth hostel I was staying at (Hostelling International Waikiki). I did the self-guided kayak tour and the shark cage tour. Angel, the proprietor, was helpful in arranging the tours for me, and both were really great! The self -guided kayak tour takes you out to Kailua, which is a really beautiful part of Hawaii, and you get to visit islands where birds are nesting, go snorkeling, kayak to another bigger island, all at your leisure, or haste, depending on your pace - ha ha. The shark tour is fun as well. Angel arranged everything for me at the last minute because I kept being indecisive. But he still managed to get a rental car for me, book the tour, and set it all up. This tour takes you to the North Shore of Hawaii, where it is much more tranquil. You go on a boat with about 24 people, go out to sea about 15 minutes, anchor, and jump in a cage. There, you hang on and observe the sharks as they swim around the cage. It's so fun, and worth trying at least once, I think. I ended up being double charged by mistake by the Shark tour company (computer glitch I was told) and Angel was very involved and helpful in making sure I got my refund. He was more helpful than the Shark company, hate to say. I have no hard feelings toward the Shark company either, but it would have been nice if they were more proactive about the problem like Angel was. Because he was so proactive about it, I felt pretty safe in knowing that the issue would get resolved. It took three weeks, but it finally got resolved. So kudos to Angel for being on top of it the whole time.I would recommend doing one, if not more than one, of the tours if you can. They are fun, more affordable than the tours at the hotels, and worth it!

Really enjoyed the Kayaking tour I arranged thru the Hostel-Tours-Hawaii. I thought the price was really good; $54, especially since it included transportation to the other side of the island; Kailua. Lunch was also included in the price. The pick-up was by Marcos who was right on time with a clean new-model van. He drove well and regaled us with fun stories. Good way to start the tour.Upon arrival in Kailua, we were greeted with a friendly staff and easy directions. The video we saw gave us a broad understanding as to what we could expect. The gear was clean and working well.I must say that the one block walk with the kayak to the canal was a bit exhausing, but they gave us wheels and it was do-able. The return was more annoying.Kailua Bay was so fabulous; the islands, the gentle surf, the coral reef snorkeling, the smooth clean beach. All of it was Fabulous! LOVED it.The staff checked us in quickly. We ate pizza nearby surrounded by happy folks. The ride back to Waikiki was easy. The memories I made with the five of us who joined-up at the Hostel were priceless. I loved it and would energetically recommend!

Update. We booked a skydive through here. It was supposed to be with skydive Hawaii and it was cancelled due to weather. Skydive Hawaii never called to cancel. I called Angel he said let me call Mary at Skydive Hawaii to find out what happened. Hostel is just the middle man and once they set the reservation they are done. But today Angel spent probably an hour of his time and 15 minutes on the phone with me apologizing for something that was even out of his control. I HAVE not even heard from Skydive Hawaii, not even an email But thank you Angel for apologizing and for the great customer service. I appreciate that. We will definitely book with you again

We came to Honolulu for a week and had the best spring break ever! Angel was very friendly and helped us book various excursions, including the dolphin swim, Diamond Head hike and Circle Island turtle snorkel. He was always prompt in responding to our questions and also helped us get a full refund when our shark tank excursion was unfortunately canceled due to weather. I definitely recommend booking through H Tours Hawaii and plan on doing so next time I'm in Hawaii!

In November, 2009 my daughter and I took a sail and snorkel tour with Hostel Tours Hawaii. It was arranged by Angel. This was my first adventure with snorkeling and it could not have been better. Captain Jon was delightful to sail with and the crew were terrific. I also had the change to chat with Chris, the marketing director for the Makani and learn a great deal about the operation. The snorkeling/sailing was so much fun we went on a Sunset Sail the following day and even though the sunset did not cooperate as well as it might have it was still wonderful. I can only say good things about the entire experience. And on the plus side, it has make a future snorkeler out of me. Thanks to Angel at the hostel and the entire crew of the Makani.Nancy H.
