Yuto and his team always do an amazing job. Very very fortunate to have his business in town. I hope they stay there for many years to come. Food is consistently always delicious. They are known as a gyoza studio but their ramen is amazingly good. Only two options for red and white with a chicken base. Both are delicious, but because I love spicy I usually get the red one. On days when I want a milder taste, I opt for the white ramen. Keep in mind each broth uses different noodles. Red ramen's noodles are a little thicker, while the white ramen's noodles are thinner.

Honestly, the best gyoza I have had in a very, very long time. If you love gyoza, go check it out!It is very assertive with ginger, so if you have issues with that, that might be not for you. But wowza, it was delicious. We went for a late dinner, and ended up getting two orders of gyoza, it was so good!We also shared their ramen which was delicious. My husband "failed the test" and couldn't find the washroom, but I had no problem finding it. It is a bit out of the way, you have to go around the back of the building and basically enter the kitchen through a back door (the kitchen itself is blocked off by a door grate).

Good spot for gyoza. Can't really go wrong here with your selection. The paitan with the gyoza was good, tasty but you may feel that you want rice or more noodlesPro tip: we got a small ramen on the side to soak up the soupy goodness.Service was nice. No issues Ambiance was local dinner, although they did leave the door open so there was a little draft.

I was hungry one night and decided to stop by for dinner. Honestly, place is so underrated. The food is so good and hearty. The flavors are super good and taste like the ramen and gyoza I had in Japan. The workers are super nice and have awesome service (always asking how I was doing or if I needed more water). Ambiance is chill and the area has other food options too! Overall 10/10 for me!

Lotsa good things being said about Gyoza Studio Kubota. Finally the evening came to check them out. So with a few fun friends we did a sampling. We had the fried chicken, gyoza of course, scrambled eggs, and ramen in the white paitan broth. Food was satisfying but rather unremarkable. When asked where the restroom was, server pointed to the kitchen and said it's in the back of the building through those doors but you have to go around the building to access. We never did find the restroom. Lol.The space is cute and fresh with minimalist vibes.Located in a strip mall which includes Starbucks and a rather large back parking lot shared with other businesses.

Off of Kapahulu with private lot parking, this spot specializes in gyoza and other Japanese bar food. They are open late which is nice nowadays when everything else seems to close earlier. The staff is really friendly. The food was pretty good with various dishes revolving around gyoza. However, my favorite was the pork belly karaage because the battering was so light and crunchy. I will say though if you're looking for cheap gyoza this is not it. The gyoza dishes were a little pricey because you get good quality and expert craftsmanship. It's also worth noting that it's all the same gyoza. For example, the cheese gyoza is only topped with cheese and does not have cheese in it.

This is a very modest hole-in-the-wall styled place serving gyoza, side dishes, and tori paitan broths w ramen. They are directly related to Aburiya Ibushi and Cha To Gelato Zen but the emphasis here is on home style izakaya dishes with a Kansai influence. It is cozy and can get loud. The open kitchen means you can smell what's cooking - and smell like the cooking afterwards. That doesn't mean it's bad, just temper your expectations. There is a menu available plus a QR version. It is supplemented by an overhead chalkboard menu so be sure to look at it. Most of the food is centered around having gyoza in some form along with chicken dishes. The basic grilled gyoza is nice, with boiled versions as an option. You can have gyoza supplemented with things like garlic chive, mozzarella cheese, or shiso. There is also a hot pot like version called taki gyoza, which is their gyoza boiled in either the white or red tori paitan broth - you can have rice added to the remaining broth after finishing the gyoza. One key to knowing this is Kansai syled is the term obanzai. Obanzai is simple grandmother cooking used specifically in Kyoto, but also in Osaka - the Kanto equivalent would be sozai. Also, several side dishes are Japanized Chinese. The shrimp omelette doesn't have a thickened sauce but it does come topped with spicy ground pork and lots of cilantro. The tori karaage, called Yu Lin Chi, sits in a nanban styled rice vinegar sweet and sour. The tori paitan is very kansai. It is salty, creamy, and rough around the edges. You will find very refined creamy rich tori paitan in good ramen shops in Osaka but here the ramen broth is secondary to gyoza. The red version is supposed to be spicy, but Japanese spicy is very mild to Honolulu locals. If you really want spicy add the chili oil on the table to your taki gyoza or ramen. The drinks are very basic small izakaya quality. No premium spirits. It's just to there to loosen you up and enjoy the company of others.A warning. The restroom is right outside the kitchen to the left. The previous establishment let you enter and leave through the kitchen area to use the restroom. Now you have to exit streetside and walk all the way around the outside of the building. Frankly, this is stupid and not very safe for unaccompanied women at night. This is not a place to hoist a lot of drinks.

Yuzu. Soda. Order it! This place got my picky Caucasian son to like gyoza, need I say more? Okay I will say more- you really should try all the different plates, they seem like they are much the same but I promise, you really gotta try them all. All the dumplings are made fresh to order so if it's busy, just take a deep breath because it promise it'll be worth the wait.

Food was great. Service was good too. Only bad thing no AC! It would not have been bad if we had cooler weather but made us drink 2 pitchers of beer!

Happy National Ramen Day...This has always been in my list as they have gyoza in their name you know it's gonna be yummy!Located on the corner of Date and Kapahulu free parking is in the back though the lot isn't that big considering they share it with a few other biz if you go later in the night which they close at midnight it's completely empty.Their menu is quite simple serving Paitan (white or red) ramen which is made from chicken along with gyoza and a few other sides and drinks is nice as doing what they do best you know it's gonna be good.Walking in they have about seven tables all but one are four tops the other seats six the decor is simple with Japanese scrolls on the wall my favorite is the chalkboard with menu items artfully written. As I wait patiently for my red ramen and gyoza I can smell it being made yum! The broth is nice and flavorful garnished simply with charsiu, egg, sprouts and slivers of chili it's definitely not red but the heat is definitely there with noodles cooked al dente it was a nice light bowl. The gyoza is house made and I love it grilled versus fried and was happy to see it prepared that way so I ordered six and it's a cute chunky pieces with a nice thick and chewy wrapper
